  • Notice how Komen Foundation is NO LONGER MENTIONED during "Breast Cancer" month of October?

no link, just an observation.... open to correction...BUT. While October has been hyped in the media as a "pink" month, standing for breast cancer research, have you noticed that THIS year, the Susan G Komen Foundation--big Planned Parenthood funders--are NOT mentioned prominently? I wonder if SGK is still behind these efforts, but are choosing to mute its involvement. Recall a few years back many of us chose to STOP donating to Komen when the organization BACKTRACKED on a pledge to stop giving money to the abortion mills.

The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross and Susan G. Komen on Friday joined a growing exodus of organizations canceling plans to hold fundraising events at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, deepening the financial impact to President Trump’s private business amid furor over his comments on Charlottesville. The major exits now mean eight of the club’s biggest event customers have abandoned it this week, likely costing the Trump business hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost revenue or more.

The most expensive congressional race in U.S. history has again dispelled the myth that conservatives are the aggressors in the moral wars that plague our politics. As Kyle Wingfield of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution recently pointed out, in the race to replace Tom Price in Georgia’s 6th congressional district, it was only a matter of time before Jon Ossoff went after Karen Handel for her brief experience at the Susan G. Komen organization. And like almost every other liberal when it comes to matters involving abortion, Ossoff lied. The ad uses an OB-GYN corrupted by liberalism—Mindy Fine from Cobb County, Georgia...

As the scandal over Planned Parenthood selling the body parts of unborn babies escalates, pro-life advocates are increasingly turning their focus onto companies and organizations that fund the abortion giant. Years ago, the breast cancer charity Komen for the Cure, after several years of protests and opposition from pro-life groups, finally announced that it would no longer fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Planned Parenthood, in turn, used its supporters in Hollywood and the mainstream media to so thoroughly castigate and trash Komen that it was bullied into resuming funding. SIGN THE PETITION! Congress Must De-Fund Planned Parenthood Immediately Now,...

Well, isn’t this rich. Politico is reporting that Planned Parenthood has hired crisis management firm SKDKnickerbocker “as it scrambles to deal with the ongoing scandal”: SKDKnickerbocker is no newbie to working on Planned Parenthood issues. The Democratically aligned firm is run by well-connected operatives, including Anita Dunn and Hilary Rosen. It also worked with the group during the 2012 election cycle, according to SKDKnickerbocker’s website. SKDKnickerbocker is also the group Susan G. Komen for the Cure hired in 2012 when it was trying to fend off Planned Parenthood after deciding to break financial ties with the abortion giant. At the...

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 16, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-life Republicans in the House of Representatives amended a commemorative coin bill to cut Susan G. Komen for the Cure off from a potential $4.75 million in revenues. This because the breast cancer research charity funds Planned Parenthood (PP), America's largest abortion provider. The Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative Coin Act was passed by the House 429 to 1 Wednesday afternoon after all references to Susan G. Komen for the Cure were removed. It now calls for the  minting of gold and silver commemorative coins bearing a design about breast cancer research, with the...

As a two-time breast-cancer survivor, Eve Sanchez Silver once supported the Susan G. Komen organization in her personal fight against a disease affecting hundreds of thousands of U.S. women each year.  But when she found out while serving on the group’s National Hispanic/Latina Advisory Council that Komen was giving money to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s No. 1 abortion provider, she knew she had a problem.“Here was a breast-health organization — a very life-affirming organization, from my perspective — funding an organization that essentially kills people. I couldn’t understand why they thought that was okay.”  Sanchez Silver, a retired medical-research analyst...

Susan G. Komen suffered a 22 percent drop in donations last year, which may have been due to the controversy it recently had regarding its monetary ties to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. A spokeswoman for the breast cancer awareness organization acknowledged a strong decline in donations, according to the Associated Press. "Citing audited financial statements posted on its website this week, a spokeswoman for the Dallas-based breast cancer charity said contributions - including donations and corporate sponsorships - dropped from about $164 million from the fiscal year ending in March 2012 to $128 million in the year...

Jan. 6, 2014 (LiveActionNews.org) - The Race for the Cure has hit a wall. Breast Cancer giant Susan G. Komen for the Cure has been embroiled in funding controversies, and a new report shows that its revenue is plummeting, not only for its once-popular race, but also for its organization at large. Reports show that Komen experienced a 22% drop in donations in the year after the controversy over its grants to Planned Parenthood. Reports also showed that “fewer people took part in its fundraising Races for the Cure across the country. The organization announced last summer that it would...

I hate to say I told you so. That’s usually an empty phrase. Let’s face it: most people love to say “I told you so.” But in this case, I really do hate it—because I successfully predicted that something pretty awful would happen. Back in February of 2012, the Susan G. Komen controversy was at its zenith. You’ll recall that Susan G. Komen announced that it would stop funding Planned Parenthood, which it had been doing to the tune of about $600,000 a year, and use that money for other projects instead. Planned Parenthood responded with an extensive media campaign...

Komen for the Cure was the subject of national controversy when it decided to stop providing grants to the Planned Parenthood abortion business and, following pressure from abortion advocates and the media, reversed course days later. The headlines were an alert to pro-life advocates to not trust the breast cancer charity and its donations and number of Race for the Cure event participants have suffered as a result. Since then, Komen has restablished itself as a reliable funder of the nation’s biggest abortion company — to the tune of $700,000, according to one pro-life leader. Keith Mason of Personhood USA,...

October is the pink month for the NFL. Players, coaches, cheerleaders and even stadiums are adorned with the color to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The league also sells pink merchandise (hats, jerseys, etc.) and donates a portion of the proceeds to the American Cancer Society. How much of the proceeds? Well, not a whole lot. ESPN’s Darren Rovell is reporting (via Business Insider) that the league takes a “25 percent royalty from the wholesale price (1/2 retail), donates 90 percent of royalty to American Cancer Society.”

The clean sweep at the Komen Foundation is finally complete. A few days ago Komen founder Nancy Brinker finally lost her job as CEO. It took a while but they finally got rid of her, the woman who watched her sister suffer and die from breast cancer, who dedicated her life to eradicating the disease, who created one of the most successful global health charities in the world. They removed her for the crime of trying to defund Planned Parenthood. She’s being replaced by a woman some say had a hand in developing Obamacare and who has never run a...

The new president of Komen for the Cure is refusing to detail her position on abortion. That will likely only add to the furor the breast cancer charity has caused within the pro-life community — where its initial decision to de-fund Planned Parenthood and its backtracking days later cost it dearly with pro-life Americans. As LifeNews reported, Komen has a new president and CEO. The breast cancer charity named Judith Salerno to replace founder Nancy Brinker, whose promise to her dying sister begat a fundraising powerhouse has faced significant controversy. Brinker announced last summer she would step down following an...

Embattled breast cancer awareness group Komen for the Cure has announced the selection of a new CEO, Judith A. Salerno. Salerno currently serves as executive director and chief operating officer of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), a chief adviser to the Obama Administration regarding the implementation of Obamacare. Under Salerno’s leadership, the IOM told the Obama Administration that insurance companies should be forced to pay for contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion-causing drugs for all women, without co-pays. That recommendation became the controversial HHS contraceptive mandate, which requires employers to provide such insurance plans for their female employees or face heavy fines,...

The Susan G. Komen foundation canceled its signature 3-Day walk in Washington and six other cities next year, slashing the number of the fundraising events by half, as participation continues to drop more than a year after a funding controversy involving Planned Parenthood. Komen called its decision to pull out of the event one that “was not made lightly, as this bold and empowering event has touched the lives of thousands of participants.” Spokeswoman Andrea Rader cited economic uncertainty and competition from other charities as factors in the decision — the same reasons Komen has cited for the drop in...

The Des Moines Register printed a Letter to the Editor from Iowa Right to Life this morning, that was a response to a very one-sided Associated Press story that ran in the Register a few days ago. Here is the IRTL letter: Planned Parenthood should be defunded The Register recently ran a news piece slamming Mitt Romney’s plan to defund Planned Parenthood. ("Why it matters" 10/25/12) Planned Parenthood should be defunded. Here’s why: 1. Planned Parenthood duplicates services offered by county health. With overhead costs, this is an inefficient use of taxpayer funds. 2. Planned Parenthood pressures Title 19 low-income...

ATLANTA — The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta had told its parishes, schools and other organizations to end their support for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity over a lingering abortion dispute. That directive from religious leaders came in a memo Monday. It criticized grants given by some Komen officials to Planned Parenthood to support breast screenings. Planned Parenthood also provides abortions, which are against Catholic religious teachings. But that’s not the case in Atlanta. The local Komen affiliate told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that it has never given funding to Planned Parenthood Southeast. “Komen Atlanta remains...
