According to FBI: UCR Table 12, there were approximately 374 people shot and killed with rifles of any kind. There were 1,604 people killed with “knives or cutting instruments.” Table 12 also shows...

When I came to Australia, I had read of the weapons laws regarding the carry of knives. I had read that knives could only be carried if you had a “good reason” to do so.I knew how much the “good reason” limitation had been abused in the United States to stop people from exercising their Second Amendment rights.States like New Jersey, New York, and California are notorious for the abuse of that limitation. I was apprehensive about carrying a pocket knife in Australia. On arrival, I wrote: As I talked to the manager, I mentioned that I understood it was...

Before heading out on a trek, hunters need to ask themselves a simple question: How many knives do I really need? When it comes to hunting knives, what do you really need? The question is straightforward, but the answer can become complicated by thoughts of what you want, rather than what you actually need. Personally, I own dozens of knives. They are great tools, and serve a range of purposes. But when I go aï¬eld, I keep it simple. On all the hunts IÂ’ve been fortunate to embark upon around the world, I almost always take only one knife aï¬eld....
