When asked by ABC News what he feared the most about the incoming Trump administration, former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich said it was that “they would lose their nerve.” […]

“Look, they’re going to arrive in Washington, and for them to be successful, they have to stake out positions that Donna [Brazile] will not like and the Left will hate,” Gingrich explained.

“And my deepest concern is they’re going to arrive and you’re going to have the Greens going crazy over the EPA [Environmental Protection Agency] and Interior [Department]. You’re going to have the government employees going crazy about civil service reform. You’re going to have the teachers’ unions going crazy over school choice.” …

Illustrating yet again the wisdom of the Trump Administration not offering an inside position to Gingrich.

Why is he doing joint interviews with Brazile?

Because they provided a camera and a microphone. Newt needs a muzzle.

I remember the Hercules cartoon and his sidekick Newt. Newt would say everything twice. I hated it.

Seriously.

Dear Newt is restored with confidence, but with age is turning a bit rogue, becoming a bit of a loose cannon, possibly a nuisance, politically, and forgets he has no sphere of influence as a toothless harpy nagging at Trump.

Trump has quite enough real hurdles without Newt manufacturing phantom ones.

Gingrich needs to DROP THE DANG CONCERN TROLLING.

“BREAKING: Trump To Have The First CHRISTIAN Inauguration In History”

Perhaps President Trump is sincere in his Christian beliefs and he will draw strength from God. Perhaps President Trump is using this to create a narrative that his administration will be Christian, even though he doesn’t believe. In the first case, we’re good automatically. In the second case, if he cares enough to create that image, I believe he will care enough to maintain the same image and will govern as if he were a sincere, God-fearing Christian. With Franklin Graham and other real Christians guiding him, that’s good enough for me (and I believe he’s probably sincere in any case).

the Greens going crazy over the EPA [Environmental Protection Agency] and Interior [Department].

"The Greens" aren't even a party. They have had to rent a presidential candidate for the last 2 cycles (just like the Libertarians did this time). Can anybody name a member of the Green Party? Neither Jill Stein or Ralph Nader count, because they were Greens of Convenience.

Yes. Newt and Callista will be just fine outside the Trump admin.

Newt other media sources may need a translator since most of them clearly can not comprehend President-elect Trump. However, the people understand Donald Trump and resent the constant attempts at false interpretations of his words.

Like any smart and successful contractor, Trump recognizes the importance of planning for multiple exits. The most politically useful thing about Trump’s linguistic somersaults is that definitions may change accordingly. The media fails to grasp how this has repeatedly played out so many times throughout the presidential campaign. And now with his message to the House GOP, they respond once again with condemnation and outrage.

Trump makes a bold and dramatic statement that is vague. Like clockwork, the media responds by freaking out and is forced to shift the agenda to Trump’s topic, usually on his terms. Then Trump basks in their spotlight as he clarifies and re-clarifies again and again until he zeros in on the exact position that he finds comfortable and that is politically sustainable.

Listening to Trump as he dropped a verbal asterisk on what had originally was construed as an absolute ban on Muslims entering America is a prime example. At the time, he was reading partially from a script when Trump realized he would need some more flexibility with his policy to combat terrorism at home. Almost as an after thought, Trump modified the phrase, “…until our countries’ representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.”

Now we expect these campaign pronouncements to turn in to actual policies and the media is still in denial that they are facing an incoming president that will actually act as he had campaigned. The idea that Newt and others are fearful that Trump won’t deliver is weak thinking.

The media is shocked and appalled while just trying to play catchup to the agenda that has begun to unfold.
