Eric Cantor and John Boehner — particularly Eric Cantor — have decided they don’t need or want conservatives and, more troubling, do not have any intention of trying to win at the polls by forcing Democrat hands on Obamacare. Liberal blogger Ezra Klein loves to visit the White House, and the White House appears more than willing to open the door. Since 2009, Klein’s name appears in the White House visitor logs 27 times, according to a search of the records. The latest visit recorded in the records was December 12, 2013 -- while Klein was creating a brand new explanatory news and policy website which would become Vox Media. According to the visitor logs, Klein has traveled to the White House eight times to meet President Obama and has met with a myriad of other White House officials....

The Kansas man who helped draft Fremont's contentious immigration ordinance and several similar ones around the country has endorsed Shane Osborn for Nebraska's open U.S. Senate seat. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach issued the endorsement for Osborn Thursday, saying it's "absolutely essential that we have U.S. senators who will vote against amnesty for illegal aliens."

Rep. Raul Labrador isn’t amused by Speaker John Boehner’s ribbing of fellow Republicans for dragging their feet on immigration reform this year. Labrador (R-Idaho) said in a statement Friday that he was “disappointed” in Boehner’s remarks conveyed back home in Ohio, in which he appeared to theatrically mimic House Republicans and their refusal to take up an immigration overhaul.

Beau McCoy came ready to tangle over illegal immigration. The House of Representatives Judiciary Committee voted last week to admit more high-tech foreign workers in some categories than the annual supply of them. In its eagerness to meet the wishes of the high tech industry — and steal jobs from qualified American workers — the Republican majority on the committee, with the single, commendable exception of Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), voted to allow as many as 55,000 green cards to be issued annually to aliens with advanced science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) degrees from American universities.

Republican Iowa Congressman Steve King responded after an organization backed by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg launched an advertising blitz against him Friday. King issued a statement saying the commercials, which were paid for by Zuckerberg's pro-immigration reform group FWD.us, show the Facebook chairman and CEO wants to "reward people for breaking our laws" in order to bring in talent for his company.
