Beau McCoy came ready to tangle over illegal immigration.
McCoy, one of six Republican candidates for Nebraska governor, aggressively questioned frontrunner Pete Ricketts' stance on immigration during a debate Wednesday at the Johnny Carson Theater.
McCoy accused Ricketts of being a “convenient conservative” — saying Ricketts supported amnesty for illegal immigrants during his failed U.S. Senate bid in 2006.
Ricketts denied the charge, calling it “typical politician speak.”
