Kel-Tec’s KSG Bullpup shotgun stormed the SHOT show like the Red Army into Berlin, championing its 14-round capacity, diminutive configuration and radical ergonomics. I recently came across an update from Kel Tec on their new bullpup KSG pump shotgun that garnered so much attention at this year’s SHOT show in January and that Phil Bourjaily called the most innovative new shotgun. Kel-Tec’s KSG is a SHOT Show stopper, with crowds hovering over the bullpup like disaster victims over Red Cross food supplies. OK, maybe not that desperately. TTAG loved it some Kel-Tech Sub-2000. Capt. John Raguso reckoned it was a far better choice for home defense than a shotgun: less recoil, more bullets, wieldy as a pen knife, foldable for bug-out duty, accurate, cheap, lovely! Throw in some frangible ammo to eliminate that pesky over-penetration problem and Bob’s your uncle. I write this to apprise folks considering a Kel-Tec handgun of my experience getting my Kel-Tec P32 repaired at the factory.I bought my little P32 back in early spring and was extremely pleased with its ease of carry, shooting comfort (easy recoil) and accuracy.However, when I tried to disassemble it for cleaning, the grip and the barrel/slide mechanism became jammed. Unable to separate them (without undue pressure) I took it to my local gunsmith (who sold me the p32 new). He wrestle with it for 30 minutes and when it finally separated, the grip ("ultra high impact polymer Dupont ST-8018")...
