A popular Starbucks coffee variety allegedly contains undeclared potassium — potentially harming clueless customers who believe they’re chugging pure java, The Post has learned. A complaint filed late last month with the North Carolina Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection Division claims Starbucks Dark French Roast Coffee “significantly exceeds” levels of the essential nutrient found in other unadulterated beans sold on supermarket and retail shelves. Independent laboratory testing found 13% more potassium in Starbucks’ dark roast compared to its house blend as well as Dunkin’ Donuts’ and Lavazza’s dark roast varieties, according to the complaint.

The Fox News analyst whose brother was fatally shot in Chicago last month told The Post that Monday’s mass parade shooting outside the Windy City is another example of “soft-on-crime” policies gone awry. Gianno Caldwell, whose 18-year-old brother, Christian Beamon, was slain by a gunman June 24, said he was trying to take his mind off his sibling’s still-unsolved slaying while at a beach in south Florida on Monday when he learned about the country’s latest mass killing. “The ‘defund the police’ mantra has become like a disease that’s spreading from the inner cities to suburbs everywhere,” Caldwell told The...

Joe Biden wrote to his son Hunter and others close to him using the pseudonym “Peter Henderson” – a fictional Soviet Union-era spy in several Tom Clancy novels who infiltrated the US government, emails show. The messages contained on Hunter’s abandoned laptop appear to indicate the then-VP started using the fictitious mole’s moniker in October 2016 while forwarding a YouTube video to his son Hunter, brother Jim, daughter-in-law Hallie, as well as his sister and longtime political strategist Valerie Biden Owens. Biden sent the message using an email address with a username of “67stingray” — a clear reference to his...

The partial remains - first discovered in February 1982 in a garbage bag behind a now-shuttered business in Twinsburg, Ohio - were identified as Little’s using DNA provided by a close relative, police said in a statement Tuesday. “In October 2021, the DNA Doe Project provided the names of potential living relatives, who were able to provide Frank’s name,” Twinsburg police said, adding that Little’s identity was...

A pair of gun-toting robbers stormed into a holiday house party in Los Angeles, where they stole jewelry, phones and a watch from frightened guests, according to reports. The homeowners hosting the outdoor bash in the city’s Pacific Palisades section said two guests went inside the residence to get their purses Friday night and were confronted by armed assailants who swiped jewelry, iPhones and an Apple watch from two women and fled, the Los Angeles Times reported. An assistant professor at a Virginia university is taking heat for saying it isn’t necessarily immoral for adults to be sexually attracted to children — prompting college officials to put out a statement clarifying the claim. Allyn Walker, who teaches sociology and criminal justice at Old Dominion University, made the controversial comment while discussing “minor-attracted persons” and pedophiles during a Nov. 8 interview with the Prostasia Foundation, a San Francisco-based child protection organization. Walker was discussing their book, “A Long Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity,” when he insisted it’s important to use that terminology instead of...

An ID card belonging a Massachusetts teen last seen nearly four decades ago has been recovered from a river, along with unidentified human remains, authorities said. Judith Chartier, of Chelmsford, 17, was last seen on June 5, 1982, after leaving a party in Billerica. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said “significant portions” of the teen’s 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger were located by divers Tuesday in the Concord River in Billerica, marking a crucial development in the decades-old cold case. Investigators recovered human remains and a work ID of Chartier’s in the same river Wednesday near Tuesday’s find — about 50...

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been fined $48,000 this year for not wearing a mask on the House floor — and she’s vowing to keep defying the mandate. The House Ethics Committee issued a statement Monday regarding the Georgia Republican, indicating she most recently broke the rule on Sept. 28. The outspoken mask critic — who was suspended from Twitter for railing against the COVID-19 vaccine — previously flouted the mandate on Sept. 27 and Sept. 22. She did not file an appeal in any of those incidents. Greene has been spotted without a mask in the House chamber at...

A Connecticut lawmaker compared Gov. Ned Lamont to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler over the state’s vaccine policy, saying “this is no longer land of the free.” State Rep. Anne Dauphinais, a vocal critic of Lamont, likened the Democrat to the genocidal dictator who killed millions of European Jews and others between 1933 and 1945 over Lamont’s COVID-19 vaccine policy for state employees, the Hartford Courant reported. “King Lamont aka Hitler dictating what we must inject into our bodies to feed our family!” Dauphinais wrote in a reply late Thursday to a Facebook post by CT News Junkie.

Former MLB pitcher Tommy John has contracted COVID-19, but is minimizing the threat of the virus from a hospital bed in California. The 77-year-old left-hander who played 26 seasons for six teams, including the Yankees, told The Daily Beast Tuesday he had no symptoms of the deadly bug despite being on oxygen at a hospital near his home in Indio, California. “I’d leave right now if they’d let me walk out,” John said. But John — who went on to pitch for 14 seasons after having elbow ligament replacement surgery in 1974 — accused a reporter of “making a mountain...
