Not officially, but I’ve been riding the train without one for a while and neither CTA employees, nor cops, nor other riders have said one word to me about it.

So Lightfoot may keep the policy, but if nobody is actually enforcing it, more and more people will be ignoring it as time goes by.

I’m going on BART tomorrow (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to SF. I’m going to just be maskless and see what happens.

Next up: let’s make doctors and dentists offices mask optional. They seem to be still required here in CA in all medical settings.

In 2020: my mask doesn’t protect me, my wearing a mask protects you. Buy cloth masks.

2022 my mask protects me. And cloth masks or hospital masks don’t work.

Got an alert that the "Roo Express" at the University of Akron (campus bus transportation) was dropping their mask mandate effective immediately. They cited "a federal court decision yesterday that invalidated mask requirements on public transportation and [Akron] METRO's announcement earlier today riders are no longer required to wear facial coverings."
