John and Ken quickly discuss the issue of the first real "fake news" story in modern times pushed aggressively by the likes of CNN. This has led to a smaller battle to keep Congress respectful of our first responders. And really this is a Left vs. Right battle at it's most basic.

John and Ken speak to Marc Joffe of the California Policy Center (http://californiapolicycenter.org/) in regard to these recent articles on the subject of California's fiscal emergency: ➤ California’s Total State and Local Debt Totals $1.3 Trillion (http://tinyurl.com/hh8qbss) ➤ Can California’s Economy Withstand $1.3 Trillion of Government Debt? The pension crisis in California is the worst in the country, and it will continue to get worse as Jerry Brown and the environmentalists strap this state with regulations that choke businesses to death -- see: ✦ California Regression - Eco Craziness - https://youtu.be/MuKO0pjCes8 ✦ Cow-Farts in London - Jerry Brown - https://youtu.be/nl6Vcvogcyg

John and Ken discuss the latest Jerry Brown obsession with the "Leftist religion" of controlling the climate. This is one of the funniest bits by John and Ken in a while.

John and Ken read from an L.A. Times article that raises the alarm a bit too late for Californians. ➤ Californians are likely to pay more for gasoline, electricity, food and new homes — and to feel their lives jolted in myriad other ways — because their state broadly expanded its war on climate change this summer. The ambitious new goals will require complex regulations on an unprecedented scale, but were approved in Sacramento without a study of possible economic repercussions. Some of the nation’s top energy, housing and business experts say the effort may not only raise the cost...

NOTE: at the link are some soundbites from the show Los Angeles' top rated drive time talk show duo, John and Ken called Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich a 'Lying Boob' during the Friday afternoon rush hour. John and Ken discussed how District Attorney candidate Alan Jackson has taken Trutanich to court over Trutanich's attempt to give himself the false and misleading title "Los Angeles Chief Prosecutor" and a judge has now ordered Trutanich to show why the use of that title should not be banned. The pair agreed with Jackson's view; the Chief Prosecutor is the District Attorney,...

The John & Ken Show has dominated the Southern California airwaves by railing against taxes, raising the alarm against illegal immigrants, skewering politicians, and whipping listeners into a fury. But their enemies have begun to fight, and now John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou find themselves in an unfamiliar place—namely, on the defensive

Less than a week after Gov. Jerry Brown started using robotic telephone calls and mailers to gather signatures for his ballot initiative to raise taxes, the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association plans to launch its anti-tax campaign today on the conservative "John and Ken" talk radio show. The taxpayers group this morning posted a red banner on its website inviting viewers to join a "Don't Sign the Petition" campaign. The banner links to a campaign website opposing Brown's effort to raise the state sales tax and income taxes on California's highest earners.

A number of Latino and immigrant groups are planning a boycott of Clear Channel's talk KFI-AM (640) and the popular John & Ken Show. The team has been accused of both a disregard for and a disrespect of the Latino community. The plans follow a canceled meeting between station management, when it became known that the groups wanted KFI to remove afternoon hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou from the air. Things came to a head when John & Ken discussed the situation on the air, and then gave out the phone numbers to an immigrant rights group. Callers allegedly...

FULLERTON, Calif. (KTLA) -- Fullerton's city council has voted to hire a police watchdog to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of mentally-ill homeless man, Kelly Thomas, after a violent confrontation with six officers. Council members voted 4-1 Tuesday night to hire Michael Gennaco, chief attorney for the Los Angeles County Office of Independent Review, at upwards of $230 an hour. Gennaco said he would immediately begin his investigation into the entire department -- not just Thomas' death -- to see if there's any corruption. The decision came after a heated meeting involving enraged community members who booed, heckled and...

John and Ken are taking the show to Assemblyman Mike Gatto’s Burbank office today. We want you to show up with non-perishable items to help Mike Gatto out, since he’s whining about losing his pay. For example, Ken is bringing an old gift basket he can’t get rid of. John and Ken will be at Mike Gatto’s office today from 3-5 pm. You can listen to this event LIVE here: http://www.kfiam640.com/mediaplayer/?station=KFI-AM&action=listenlive&channel_title=

Fat Supervisor Gloria Molina thinks it’s okay to spend $7 million of her discretionary funds on a Latino Cultural Center, but not okay to spend some money to keep beach restrooms open! She thinks “cranky morning joggers“ don’t deserve to have the bathrooms open. While blowing all this gas, she was arrogantly stuffing her fat mug with popcorn. Send this fat bag a bag of popcorn! Call her and tell her to stuff it! Read more: http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/jk2010.html#ixzz1Oe2hFoPk

They are the shock jocks of tax talk, the Howard (Incredibly) Stern and Don Imus (Tell You What's Wrong With Democratic "Dirtbags" and Republican "Traitors") of the California budget battle. On the "John & Ken Show" -- the top-rated talk radio program in Southern California, with a reach extending deep into the state Legislature -- John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou issue fundamentalist fiscal fatwas and call for Republican "heads on a stick" when a GOP lawmaker goes rogue on the talkers' tax orthodoxy. Those heads were spinning on their sticks Thursday, when a turning point may have been reached in this year's...

This week's series of rallies by teachers unions and their allies have prompted plans for a counterprotest at 3 p.m. today in Fullerton by KFI radio show hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou. The radio duo, which frequently crusades against tax hikes, is urging listeners to rally at the same time as a planned teacher demonstration – a move that could bring hundreds of the John and Ken Show's 1 million listeners to the community.

Niceties and nuance are nowhere to be found in John and Ken's four-hour cauldron of drive-time rage. The kings of Los Angeles talk radio have an unapologetically binary view of the world. Taxes = bad. Illegal immigration = bad. Anyone who disagrees with them, especially a politician within their sphere of Southern California influence, is spared no mercy. They name names, and they call names. "Whoremasters," "teacher goons, "union thugs," "bastards," "business slobs," "morons," "crafty, stinky politicians," "bozos," "rapacious prison guards" and "greasy journalists" were just a few of the names KFI's John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou used in the...

Potentially standing in the way of a vote on extending the tax increases is the Republican Party party convention this weekend. There is little point for Democrats who control the legislature to schedule a vote on a tax measure with activists on their way to the convention demanding that Republican lawmakers live up to their anti-tax rhetoric analysts said. "The more probable outcome is that they'll wait until after the convention," said Jon Coupal,

Click on the video link to see and listen to it for yourself. Unedited one half hour with no commercials. I disagree with her on SB1070 but she is a lot better than Moonbeam IMHO.

It doesn't take much to get John and Ken into a swivet — the radio duo's fan base was built on indignation — but this week Meg Whitman offered them more than enough with which to work. It was easy to predict that Whitman, having slid to the right in the primary to attract GOP voters, would sashay back to the center now that independent voters and Democrats are in the mix. But never before in California politics has anyone spent so much money to create one persona, only to switch gears and head in a different direction. Because of...
