This week's series of rallies by teachers unions and their allies have prompted plans for a counterprotest at 3 p.m. today in Fullerton by KFI radio show hosts John Kobylt and Ken Chiampou.
The radio duo, which frequently crusades against tax hikes, is urging listeners to rally at the same time as a planned teacher demonstration – a move that could bring hundreds of the John and Ken Show's 1 million listeners to the community.

John and Ken spoke to a teacher...
She said that she cannot take the pay cut. She said that she has to work during the summer vacation to supplement her income from teaching.
She said that she deserved to get decent salary and benefits because she worked in schools for many years and had advanced degrees.
John and Ken pointed out that CA teachers have the second highest average salary in country...She said that CA has a high cost of living. John and Ken did say that cost of living was factored into the study.
John and Ken brought up illegal aliens in schools...Her response was that it is better to have them in school than to have them on the street...
John and Ken mentioned that CA has high tax rates...Her response was that nobody wants to pay more taxes...But...
The hosts asked people if some of them have seen their incomes decline in the last few years...They said yes...
Work? During the summer? The horror!
This "I could've been a brain surgeon, so I deserve the same salary as a brain surgeon" argument is ridiculous, and the teachers are all coached by their union to use it. As soon as it's accepted as a premise, the argument's over, and the teacher's union member has won.
