Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a robbery and shooting on the city’s eastside. Brian Plott, the 47-year-old victim, was shot midday Sunday, June 12, in the 7000 block of First Ave. South. He said he was left for dead, heckled and refused help by multiple passers-by. The victim has his realtor’s license and he flips and manages multiple properties in Birmingham. He and an investor recently bought a home on 66th Street South to renovate and, on that Sunday, he was checking out a similar property nearby that someone else had already renovated....

Two high profile trials concluded recently and in my opinion both verdicts were just. In the second the killers of Ahmaud Arbery were convicted of murder. I felt from the beginning that the killers were wrong and they deserved to be convicted. Subsequently and to his great credit, Marcus Arbery, the father of Ahmaud Arbery, crushed the basic racist premise of Black Lives Matter. He said“For real, all life matters. Not just black children, we don’t want to see nobody go through this.” and he added I don’t want to see no daddy to watch his kid get shot down...

They face up to life in prison if convicted of the more serious charges. The nearly all-white jury, which has one Black member, began deliberating the men's fate on Tuesday.

A self-proclaimed "vegan runner" from Berkeley, California received backlash on Saturday after asking neighbors to close their windows when cooking meat because the smells were 'overpowering and offensive.' The rant was posted to @BestNextDoor -- an account that houses neighborhood drama -- which showed the runner had requested nearby residents only barbeque vegetables because it's "always hard for me this time of year when the weather starts warming up." "Several nights a week I'm out running around dinnertime and when people have their windows open I can smell what they are cooking," the request said. "I've noticed a sharp uptick...

I‘ve always been a slow runner, you’ve probably heard me say that before. I’ve been slow at my skinniest, I’ve been slow at my fittest. In fact I don’t think I’ll ever get to a sub 10 minute mile unless I quit my job, divorce my husband and never see my friends again. I’d have to put in some serious woman power and fortunately I have a life to live and other goals I want to achieve. But do you know what, that’s ok. It’s ok to not hit a sub 10 minute mile and still call yourself a runner....

When it comes to cultural Marxism, Sweden is the canary in the coalmine. Here’s the latest from world’s most progressive country: the city of Oskarshamn is the first to implement a brand new policy for the sake of their citizens: sport aficionados in this tiny Swedish town will now have the option to require armed police protection for when they go out jogging. This sounds so unreal, I don’t even know where to begin. How about just dealing with the real problem, then Swedes who want to jog at night won’t need armed guards. And for the rest of the...

Bernie Escalante said.

Dana Point (KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO) -- In one of the biggest legal settlements in Orange County history, the city of Dana Point has agreed to pay a total of more than $49 million dollars to two women who were made quadriplegics when they were hit by a car while jogging along Pacific Coast Highway.
