A Jihad Watch reader attended the Georgetown University presentation on “Islamophobia” last week and kindly sent in this report. I wrote about this presentation here before it happened, saying that it would not be a true academic inquiry, amassing the facts and training the student to make an informed judgment, but an exercise in propaganda, attempting to manipulate attendees into holding certain opinions and skewing the presentation to ensure that those opinions would be the only ones anyone could come away with. This report shows that that was indeed what it was, with professors Daniel Varisco and John Esposito openly...

What on earth has gotten into Beck? Is he getting his talking points from Ibrahim Hooper? As Pamela Geller says, "Why would he stigmatize Wilders this way? Wilders is the embodiment of what our founding fathers extolled. Individual rights. Freedom of speech. Not sharia law." Beck should have more sense.

Experts are scoffing at President Barack Obama’s apparent belief that widespread Muslim hatred of Jews is only decades old. “Obama reveals that he has no idea, or doesn’t want to give the impression that he has any idea, about the reality of Islamic anti-Semitism,” said Robert Spencer, the author of many books on Islamic ideas and director of Jihad Watch. “Anti-Semitism is hard-wired into Islam,” from its origins before 700, said Andrew Bostom, author of three books about Islam, including “The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism,” which lists centuries of anti-Semitic hatred, murders, pogroms and apartheid-like discrimination.

In a striking blow against freedom, the British government has banned us from entering the country. Muhammad al-Arifi, who has advocated Jew-hatred, wife-beating, and jihad violence, entered the U.K. recently with no difficulty. In not allowing us into the country solely because of our true and accurate statements about Islam, the British government is behaving like a de facto Islamic state. The nation that gave the world the Magna Carta is dead.

Whatever the case may be regarding the school, here is more evidence that the Tsarnaev brothers were motivated by Islam's teachings of jihad warfare against unbelievers. "Boston, suspected attackers may have trained in Chechen Islamic school," from Asia News, April 20 (thanks to C. Cantoni): Boston (AsiaNews / Agencies) - A Youtube site linked to pages glorifying terrorism, a certificate of attendance at a school in Makhachkala, capital of Dagestan (Chechnya), and several references to the Islamic religion: this is the profile of the Tsarnaev brothers, prime suspects in the Boston massacre on April 14 last, both defined by the...

I was surprised and honored that Jihad Watch was among the nominees for the People's Choice Blog Award, sponsored by Right Wing News and TheTeaParty.net, to be awarded at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2013. As you can see from the vote above, Jihad Watch won decisively, getting over 50% of the vote in a field of fifteen. And I received confirmation of the victory from one of the organizers of the CPAC blog awards when I asked him when voting officially ended: From: XXXXXXXXX Subject: Re: You've Been Nominated For A People's Choice Award At the CPAC Blogger...

He was outnumbered, and the cowards attacked him by surprise from behind, deceitfully calling "Pastor, Pastor." They committed quite the "own-goal" if they were trying to show who is "greater." "Suspect in Pastor Mulinde acid attack arrested," from New Vision, December 26 (thanks to Olive): Three days after a suspected acid attack on Pastor Umar Mulinde of Gospel Life Church, Police has arrested one person in connection with the incident. Addressing a press briefing on Monday, Police spokesperson, Asuman Mugenyi said one person had been arrested but declined to disclose the details. He confirmed that acid was used in the...

Robert Spencer has started an illuminating new daily series at Jihad Watch: Hatred and Violence in the Qur'an Awareness Month. Running through the month of December, it was inspired by the Pat Condell video above, which utterly destroys the trumped-up and manipulative propaganda concept of "Islamophobia Awareness Month." Toward the end of the video, Condell says that a Hatred and Violence in the Qur'an Awareness Month would be much more appropriate, and Robert took him up on it. Spencer explains: "After all, November was Islamophobia Awareness Month, and certainly the hatred and violence in the Qur'an kills many, many more...

If there was a single, overarching theme to the first Stop the Islamization of Nations Congress, it was just that. Freedom. The freedom exercised by Rifqa Bary-the courageous young woman who converted to Christianity despite the wishes of her Muslim parents, and whose portrait you see emblazoned upon the poster above-as well as the freedom to engage in critical inquiry regarding any and all subjects-including Islam-are one and the same. For fundamentally, they both come down to the exercise of free will. Individual choice is something that is not highly valued in authentic Islamic culture, as the plight of the...

Actually, it's a big dirty secret. I could not help but notice, over the past few years, the right wing blogosphere's silence on jihad and Islam. When I started blogging back in 2004-2005, there were literally scores of counter-jihad blogs in an already crowded field. Seven years later, it is a paltry few, save for Jihadwatch, Creeping Sharia, and political bloggers like Logan's Warning, IOTW,American Power blog, Zilla, ..... The first jolt and obvious disconnect was back in 2008, when Michelle Malkin and Hot Air suddenly and without explanation stopped running Robert Spencer's "Blogging the Quran" series and his Jihad Watch...

A best-selling author questioning the origins of Islam in a new book has received death threats on the Twitter social networking website. Robert Spencer, director of the website “Jihad Watch,” questioned the source of Islam in a new book, “Did Muhammad Exist? An Inquiry into the Obscure Origins of Islam,” published by ISI Books. Spencer is also the author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), The Truth about Muhammad (both New York Times best-sellers) and is a columnist for FrontPage Magazine. But upon publication of his latest book, which theorized that the founder and prophet of...

Jihad Watch NYPD monitored Muslim students all over Northeast, Muslim Brotherhood-linked MSA and media enablers in uproar The Muslim Students Association is a Muslim Brotherhood group. The NYPD was monitoring it. So what? As long as no Constitutional protections were genuinely violated, the NYPD is just doing its job. The purpose of articles like this is to stop them from doing that job, which will have the effect, intended or not, of allowing the jihadist and Islamic supremacist activities of the MSAs to advance unimpeded. Discover the Networks here has documentation of the MSA's ties to the Brotherhood, as...

Laura Wilson was used, abused, and thrown away -- in keeping with the Islamic relegation of women to the status of commodities. And clearly Asghar's calling her a "kaffir bitch" reveals that they thought of her primarily as an unbeliever -- someone who had no rights and was at their disposal, until she proved inconvenient to have around. "Groomed for sex at 12, stabbed to death at 17: Shocking life of white teenage mother murdered after Asian lover rejected her child," by Rob Cooper for the Daily Mail, December 2

The Norwegian terror attacks allegedly carried out by right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik present an opportunity for introspection for “Muslim-bashers,” the Times Editorial Board wrote Tuesday. It is unfair to blame ideological extremists for violent actions, just as ‘tea partiers’ were unfairly blamed for allegedly inspiring the shooting of Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others in Tucson, the board said. What [Robert Spencer, operator of the anti-Muslim website Jihad Watch] failed to address is the fact that his site, and others cited by Breivik such as The Gates of Vienna, make a habit of blaming all Muslims for the actions...

WASHINGTON -- Allegations of a pro-gay takeover, boycotts, embezzlement and terrorist-loving board members. Sounds like a Hollywood version of a conspiracy thriller, but it's not. It's the buzz around this year's Conservative Political Action Conference, the nation's single largest annual congregation of conservative leaders. Conservatives riding a new wave of momentum thanks to the strength of the Tea Party movement and big wins in the November midterm election should be riding high ahead of this year's CPAC,scheduled to take place in Washington on Feb. 10-13. But the conference, which has met for 38 years, has found itself beset by conflict...

Yes, we are saddling up and heading out to the Lone Star State :) (video here) We will be speaking at a gala event in Fort Worth, Texas on November 12. Tickets are flying -- get thee to the box office -- here. The organizers of the event say: "With the knowledge of what is happening in our world today under the banner of Islam and dismayed by the inroads it is achieving in our country to destroy our culture, we are proud to bring to Ft. Worth, Texas, two of the foremost fighters against Islamist Jihad in the United...

A Hamas leader recently approved of the mosque at Ground Zero, saying: "We have to build everywhere." How many mosques have been built in this country already, thanks in large part to the nearly one hundred billion dollars that Saudi Arabia alone has spent to spread Islam over the past few decades, in the United States? How many tens of thousands of mosques in recent decades all over the countries of the West have been built, and how many madrasas? Who pays for such things as the mosque, for only 100 families, that cost fifteen million dollars, in Billerica, Massachusetts?...

Shortly after the 9/11/2001 attacks, that have entered history under the too-casual shorthand of “nine-eleven,” the American government began to plan to conduct a war against those whom, it correctly believed, were those most immediately involved in the attack. These were the members of an identifiable group called Al Qaeda. Its head was a mediagenic son of a Saudi billionaire, Osama Bin Laden, ably seconded by the scion of a prominent Egyptian family, Ayman Al-Zawahiri (his great-uncle Azzam Pasha had been the first Secretary of the Arab League), with others who had, from their lairs in Afghanistan, been plotting against...

Economic failure is all about us. Manufacturing jobs move, because capital is fluid and labor is immobile, from the United States to China, to India, to places where workers do not have the salaries and the benefits that workers acquired through slow time in this country. Bailouts of the undeserving, if they are powerful, and cruel indifference to the deserving, if they are unpowerful, are part of a larger problem. The stock market goes up, or goes down, but the economic degringolade continues. But in all the discussion of economic difficulties, editorialists, columnists, talking heads on television, speak and write...

I’m a reader of the works of JihadWatch’s Hugh Fitzgerald. He is an exceptionally knowledgeable historian and brilliant essayist who enriches my understanding of why we in the United States find ourselves in our current position with Islam: mass public confusion resulting from years of misdirection by apologists, led blindly into a just but misunderstood war by ignorant elected politicians who have neglected to delve into the grim realities of Muslim history and doctrine. Fitzgerald’s latest opus, the analysis of an episode of the Canadian Michael Coren’s TV show (photo above) is a must-read and must-see. Coren’s guests included Steve...
