Taping of Oprah Winfrey's second show at the Sydney Opera House was briefly suspended this afternoon when Aussie actor Hugh Jackman injured himself during a stunt. Jackman, who portrays Wolverine in the X-Men movie series, crashed into a light as he zipped down on a flying fox from the top of the Opera House sails. Winfrey was immediately concerned for Jackman and called for a doctor as well as saying "let's take a break and get some ice". snip

NASCAR announced Wednesday a licensing agreement with romance series publisher Harlequin Enterprises Ltd. Under the agreement, Harlequin will publish women's fiction titles as part of the NASCAR Library Collection. The upcoming novels, written be bestselling Harlequin authors, will have plotlines centering on NASCAR and will feature the NASCAR brand on their covers. The debut novel, "In the Groove," by Pamela Britton, is set to release in late January, just before the Daytona 500. After months of negotiations with the producers of the James Bond films, Australian front-runner Hugh Jackman has refused a three-film deal to play the smooth-talking agent.

I was driving into work and on the radio they had this syndicated columnist saying that Hugh Jackman was close to being the next James Bond since Pierce Brosnam has indicated he will retire after the next film in 2005. So the next film would be sometime after that. (2 years?)
