Joe DioGuardi, Conservative and Republican Party nominee for the U.S. Senate, today issued the following statement regarding Sen. Gillibrand's failure to stand up for Israel duringThursday night's debate: "Gillibrand failed to stand up for America's number one ally in the Middle East during Thrusday night's debate. Israel is our first among friends, and Iran is our number one foe. Yet, Gillibrand failed to mention either of these facts when first responding to a question about counter-terrorism. This should have been her first instinct! A failure to recognize such facts endangers our national security and the security of our friends, as...

Source: Reuters * Iran's Stuxnet worm has fingers pointing at Israel * Israelis seen weighing "deniable" tactics against foe By Dan Williams JERUSALEM, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Cyber warfare has quietly grown into a central pillar of Israel's strategic planning, with a new military intelligence unit set up to incorporate high-tech hacking tactics, Israeli security sources said on Tuesday. Israel's pursuit of options for sabotaging the core computers of foes like Iran, along with mechanisms to protect its own sensitive systems, were unveiled last year by the military intelligence chief, Major-General Amos Yadlin. The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu...

Military sources told debkafile Thursday, Aug. 12, that a threat from Georgia was not the reason why Russian posted advanced S-300 interceptor batteries Russia in Abkhazia and air defense weapons in South Ossetia on the northern shore of the Black Sea -as Moscow officially maintained, but rather possible moves by the US and/or Israel against Iran and its nuclear facilities. Georgia's armed forces do not run to the sophisticated warplanes, missiles or drones that would warrant establishing the high-powered S-300 interceptors for defending the breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Ordinary air defense batteries would do for deterrence. Therefore, US military...

JERUSALEM—Israel's leadership is considering changing its Gaza policy amid mounting international pressure, as it emerged Thursday that an American citizen was among the dead and another was injured in a deadly raid on an aid mission this week. The review comes as condemnations grow on the blockade—including a new push for a change in Gaza policy by the U.S.—after nine activists died in the confrontation Monday. The policy may be changed in an effort to allow aid to reach the territory's citizens more easily, according to Israeli officials.

Nearly one in five Israeli men between the ages of 35 and 54 do not work, including Arabs and ultra-Orthodox Jews, says Dan Ben-David. As their numbers rise, so does the economic peril, he says. When people talk these days about Israel's economy, they use words like booming, resilient, even "miracle." Weaning itself off socialist-influenced policies that once brought 400% inflation and 60% income-tax brackets, Israel's economy is now growing despite the international financial slowdown. Debt is manageable, the currency is strong; Israel's high-tech sector is admired worldwide. » Don't miss a thing. Get breaking news alerts delivered to your...

In a stunning turnaround, President Obama has lost roughly half of his support among Jewish voters. A poll by McLaughlin and Associates found that, while 78 percent of Jewish voters cast their ballots for Obama, only 42 percent of Jewish voters would vote to re-elect him. A plurality — 46 percent — would consider voting for anyone else. That compares with 21 percent who voted for John McCain. Ever since he learned of Obama’s ties to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, has been warning fellow Jews that Obama would be antithetical to...

The Kuwaiti anti-Syrian daily Al-Siyassa reports on a full general alert in the Syrian military across the country, and also among Hizbullah fighters in southern Lebanon, Beq'a, and Dahiya. The alert is due to fear of attack by Israel, against the backdrop of claims that Syria has transferred Scud missiles to Hizbullah. Source: Al-Siyassa, Kuwait, April 22, 2010

Evidence is mounting that President Barack Obama will unveil a new Middle East peace plan in the coming months. While a desire for peace is indeed admirable, such a move should only be welcomed by the enemies of America. Not only would this attempt inevitably fail, but it would directly harm U.S. security by shifting our national focus away from very real—and far more dangerous—threats in the region.Nearly two weeks ago, both the New York Times and the Washington Post reported on the same day about a high-level meeting two weeks beforehand in which National Security Advisor Gen. James Jones...

Does anyone with half a functioning brain really believe that if zero and hillary impose an Oslo type peace agreement on Isreal along with the right of return for millions of palestinian refugees and a parellel government of Fatah or Hamas inside the border of the state of Isreal it will lead to anything other than perpetual bloodshed and terror? I think it is time to flush out the cesspool that the State Dept has become and get some fresh thinkers in there, the current crop, up to and including hillary, are just not up to the job. These clowns...

BESA Center Perspectives Papers No. 104, April 8, 2010 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Iranian nuclear threat has obscured the possibility of waging nuclear terrorism against Israel. There is a clear rationale for employing nuclear terrorism and countering it needs calibrated policies of prevention and possibly US-Israeli cooperation. The time to prepare for the Armageddon scenario is now.

The significance of Governor Palin’s speech at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville lies in the new facets it discloses of the emerging doctrine we call Palinism. We wrote of this in an editorial issued December 2. It marked Mrs. Palin’s willingness to let Israel decide how to regulate its settler movement, her statements in favor of a strong dollar and concern over the collapse in the greenback’s value against gold, and her recognition that the unemployment question is connected to the tax question. For all the eagerness of her critics to set her down as a lightweight, the early...

Israel's high rise buildings in Jerusalem are built out of Jerusalem stone, a beautiful natural building material that makes even the new city look gloriously resurrected from the very hills themselves. Obama is a Third World socialist, meaning that he sees everything through the lens of revenge against Western colonialism of the 19th century. Where Obama sees "settlements," Israelis see 900 units of beautiful high-rise buildings made out of the living rock of the land.

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip -- A Gaza charity headed by the interior minister of the militant Hamas group on Wednesday offered $1.4 million to any Arab citizen of Israel who abducts a soldier. Palestinians have frequently called on Israeli Arabs to abduct Israeli soldiers, but this is the first time that money has been offered. The Waad group from Gaza offered the bounty for Israeli soldiers in an e-mail sent to Palestinian media. The organization, which supports Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, is headed by Hamas' Interior Minister Fathi Hamad. The minister did not return messages seeking comment.

Senior US diplomatic sources have confirmed that the media blackout and shroud of secrecy surrounding Monday's meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama was the result of strained relations between the two leaders. Speaking to Israel's Army Radio on Wednesday morning, one unnamed US diplomat said the Obama Administration had become unhappy with what is viewed as Netanyahu's efforts to manipulate its policies during press briefings, and imposed the media blackout on Monday's meeting as a means of bringing the Israeli leader back in line. The official also accused Netanyahu of indirectly pressuring Obama via...

First, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to jump through hoops just to get a meeting with US President Barack Obama. When they did meet on Monday, the contents of their talks were either so negative or so classified that a near-total media blackout was placed on the gathering. Netanyahu left Israel for Washington on Sunday to attend and address the 2009 General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America. Weeks earlier, he had requested to meet with Obama during the visit, a typical occurrence any time an Israeli leader travels to the US. But this time, the Obama...
