An unauthorized vehicle attempted to enter the headquarters of U.S. Strategic Command (Stratcom) Thursday night, prompting gunshots and a lockdown before the driver backed away and left the base. Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, which is home to Stratcom, said the unknown vehicle tried to enter the main gate of the facility at 10 p.m. Offutt security forces activated a barrier system that prevented the vehicle from entering, forcing the individual to turn around. Security also fired shots at the vehicle before it fled the scene, according to the base, and a lockdown was initiated out of an abundance...

TUCSON - How secure are U.S. military installations? You would think the answer is: very. But, as the News 4 Tucson Investigators uncovered, one installation, right here in southern Arizona, continues to face potential outside security risks, and the problem doesn't seem to be getting any better. Fort Huachuca is only 15 miles north of our state's border with Mexico. The Army post covers more than 73,000 acres. In many parts, the terrain is steep and rugged. Much of the work that goes on at Fort Huachuca is classified but, as the News 4 Tucson Investigators learned, keeping people who...

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof used an April 22 op-ed to advise his readers to consider using bear spray against home intruders instead of firearms. Kristof’s suggestion was couched in an op-ed written to persuade readers that having a gun in their home actually makes them less safe. He claimed the idea that a gun in the home makes someone safer is actually a “delusion” and he linked to a study from 2017 to support his point.

It is a full destruction of our country. They are already coming up out of manholes. Just a matter of time before it hits the fan with crime.

This week, the New Orleans City Council voted 6-0 to ask the city's police and prosecutors not to use municipal resources to enforce the state's abortion ban. Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson hailed the Council's action, saying "our community elected me to bring progressive change. The babies the state law wants to save are unwanted intruders into the lives of the birthing persons who are trying to dispose of them. Using deadly force against these intruders was authorized by the 1973 Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision. I am going to enforce that decision as long as I am the...

The Department of Homeland Security will begin phase one of the Biden administration's new approach to immigration and asylum seekers on Friday by releasing thousands of migrants in three American cities over a two-week period. The new plan, in stark contrast to the Trump administration's "Remain In Mexico" policy, will have DHS start releasing illegal aliens in San Diego, California; El Paso, Texas; and Brownsville, Texas, according to Breitbart and the Associated Press. Around 25,000 migrants will be let into the country through the first phase. DHS plans to process and release about 300 migrants a day in both San...

Police in Indiana believe a pet pig might've thwarted would-be robbers from burglarizing a home in Indianapolis. The thieves broke into the home this week and "completely damaged [the back] door," the homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fox 59. Whoever broke in, however, didn't steal anything, and police apparently suggested the family's pet pig, named Dumplin, is to blame. "The officers were guessing when the person broke in they were probably surprised I had a pig and were like, 'We don't want to deal with this,'" the single mother of four said. "The cop was like we definitely...

According to Robert Sczcerba, a health technology venture capitalist and former director of life sciences at Lockheed Martin, the greatest health technology danger is the cacaphony of beeps that attend medical devices in every hospital. Because if everything is a priority then nothing is. He writes: Have you ever stood in line at a fast food restaurant listening to a loud, persistent beeping from the kitchen’s deep fryer? If so, you’ve probably wanted to yell, “Hey, could somebody get the fries, or press a button to make that stupid dinging stop?” The employees, meanwhile, have long since stopped paying attention...

President Obama is supporting the Secret Service in the wake of a deeply troubling incident in which a disturbed man jumped the White House fence, sprinted across the North Lawn, and actually entered the White House Friday evening. The man, 42 year-old Omar Gonzalez, had a folding knife in his pocket and had left 800 rounds of ammunition in his car not far from the White House. Gonzalez had also drawn the attention of authorities at least twice a few weeks ago — once in Virginia, when he was found with a sniper rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, and a map...
