After nearly two full days of media hysteria following the forced resignation of General Michael Flynn as National Security Advisor, a resignation which the Trump administration attributed to a 'trust issue' rather than any concerns over the legality of his actions, Trump took to twitter to ask why no one within the media seemed to care about the mass leaks being "illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy" before describing the actions as "very un-American." And earlier today at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump again called out the intelligence community saying they continue to commit...

I am in such shock that a “Senior Intelligence Agent” would tell this to former NSA Intelligence analyst: Now we go nuclear. IC war going to new levels. Just got an EM fm senior IC friend, it began: “He will die in jail.”

Trump needs to announce the purchase of tens of thousands of lie detectors and that every federal employee will be given a lie detector test starting at the top of each agency...Then we can collar the rats as they run out the doors and investigate each and every one of them! JAIL TIME FOR ALL OFFENDERS!

Former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) was a guest Tuesday on "Mornings with Maria" discussing how the intelligence community is seeming to upend President Donald Trump in the wake of Michael Flynn's resignation as national security adviser. The former Democratic presidential candidate and Fox News contributor said the bigger issue here is that the phone conversations between Flynn and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were intercepted and leaked to the media. {..snip..}

The CIA’s War on Trump by Cliff Kincaid on December 12, 2016 You couldn’t fault Donald J. Trump for concluding that the CIA is out to get him even before he starts his presidency. Former CIA officials Michael Morell, Michael Hayden and Philip Mudd have all denounced him. Plus, former CIA operations officer Evan McMullin ran against him as an independent presidential candidate. Obama’s director of the CIA is John Brennan, who recently disclosed that he voted for the Communist Party (CPUSA) ticket when he was in college. He was hired by the CIA anyway and quickly rose through the...

Donald J. Trump â€@realDonaldTrump 4 minutes ago The real scandal here is that classified information is illegally given out by "intelligence" like candy. Very un-American!

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said Tuesday that those who leaked the contents of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s phone calls “belong in jail.” “That’s nine leakers that all belong in jail,” Nunes said. “Those nine people broke the law, clearly, by leaking classified information to anybody.” Nunes said he also wanted to know how U.S. intelligence agencies were wiretapping Flynn’s calls, which he said may also have been illegal. The chairman said there are only two ways that intelligence agencies can listen in on an American’s phone call — after obtaining a warrant, or inadvertently, such...

The United States is much better off without Michael Flynn serving as national security adviser. But no one should be cheering the way he was brought down. The whole episode is evidence of the precipitous and ongoing collapse of America's democratic institutions — not a sign of their resiliency. Flynn's ouster was a soft coup (or political assassination) engineered by anonymous intelligence community bureaucrats. The results might be salutary, but this isn't the way a liberal democracy is supposed to function. Unelected intelligence analysts work for the president, not the other way around. Far too many Trump critics appear not...

A former National Security Agency contractor was indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury on charges he willfully retained national defense information, in what U.S. officials have said may have been the largest heist of classified government information in history. The indictment alleges that Harold Thomas Martin, 52, spent up to 20 years stealing highly sensitive government material from the U.S. intelligence community related to national defense, collecting a trove of secrets he hoarded at his home in Glen Burnie, Maryland. The government has not said what, if anything, Martin did with the stolen data. Martin faces 20 criminal...

Just days before leaving office Loretta Lynch secretly signed an order to allow any branch of government, including local law enforcement, access to the NSA’s data mine on the American people. She created a mechanism by which the Fourth Amendment can be circumvented by law enforcement agencies of any type and description, foreign and domestic, in the area of digital information.

A new book is coming out by author Edward J. Epstein on Edward Snowden. Epstein did an intensive study into Snowden’s revelations concerning the Intelligence Community, and he said Trump is right to challenge the Community’s status quo. He indicates that the Intelligence Community is so politicized that it has lost its balanced perspective and can no longer function as a nonpartisan entity. America, this is scary to say the least. This Country is in danger, as is our new administration. The only way I know how to combat this situation is to write and talk about it. I give...

For those of us who worked in the old Soviet Union as reporters or diplomats, all the talk of “kompromat” and “dezinformatsiya” that has emerged with the Trump dossier — unverified — has been a blast from what we thought was a distant past. In the Soviet mind-set, foreigners were a permanent but inescapable danger to be isolated in guarded compounds, monitored with ubiquitous bugs, followed in the streets, restricted in their travels and manipulated through propaganda. To be on the safe side, the K.G.B. presumably compiled compromising materials (kompro-mat) on foreigners so they could be blackmailed or thrown out...

WASHINGTON The FBI and five other law enforcement and intelligence agencies have collaborated for months in an investigation into Russian attempts to influence the November election, including whether money from the Kremlin covertly aided President-elect Donald Trump, two people familiar with the matter said. The agencies involved in the inquiry are the FBI, the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Justice Department, the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and representatives of the director of national intelligence, the sources said. Investigators are examining how money may have moved from the Kremlin to covertly help Trump win, the two sources said....

In what some may see as an encouraging sign of intelligence being ushered in by the incoming Trump administration, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy has been named to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. The South Carolina Republican, popular with the conservative wing of the GOP, was chair of the Select Committee on Benghazi and will now be tasked with the oversight of the United States intelligence community in his new committee.

America is in the beginning stages of a new Cold War with Russia. And China. This time around, though, most of the Cold War will be fought along digital, technological lines, with each nation hacking the other for the purposes of espionage and sabotage. In the situation in which the American people and the incoming president find themselves, trusting the intelligence community has never mattered more. Unfortunately, trust must not only be needed; it must be earned. In that area, the intelligence community comes up short. As The New American has recently reported, the intelligence community’s inclusion of a spurious “dossier”...

They do this a lot -- ineffectually -- in foreign countries. Now they're doing the same thing here, and just as ineffectuality. What scares me here is not the sinisterness of this -- but the gross incompetence, clumsiness, and obviousness of it. This is the agency "covertly" attempting to influence foreign nations to our advantage? Using this level of deftness of touch? Hiding their hands to this extent? I always thought Idiocracy was both a plausible and unsettling end-of-days scenario. It was unsettling because there was no heroism in humanity's last stand, just a pitiful stupidity. Other apocalypse scenarios at...

Exclusive: The U.S. intelligence community’s unprecedented assault on an incoming U.S. president – now including spreading salacious rumors – raises questions about how long Donald Trump can hold the White House, says Daniel Lazare. Is a military coup in the works? Or are U.S. intelligence agencies laying the political groundwork for forcing Donald Trump from the presidency because they can’t abide his rejection of a new cold war with Russia? Not long ago, even asking such questions would have marked one as the sort of paranoid nut who believes that lizard people run the government. But no longer. Thanks to...

Dear President Elect Donald Trump: Since 9/11, USA intelligence employs 200K Americans in 16 different agencies (that we know of), plus 30K private contractors in 170 countries at a cost of $75 billion per year. And rising yearly. With due respect, President Elect Trump, do you agree with me and scores of millions of other Americans that 1. our nation is more vulnerable to terrorism than ever, that 2. our classified info leaks to the whole world like a sieve and that 3. the so-called "Patriot Act" has morphed some, if not all of these agencies, into ugliness strangely reminiscent...

A former US intelligence expert says that the 35-page document claiming that Russia hatched a blackmail plot against Donald Trump is a “forgery” and completely “bogus.” Wayne Madsen, a former disinformation analyst at the U.S. Navy’s Washington, D.C., telecommunications command, claimed to Radar Online that the dossier that leaked online Tuesday night is a bogus attempt to discredit the president-elect....

President-elect Donald Trump, after growing suspicious that intelligence officials were leaking news about their classified briefings with him, says he conducted a sting operation to try to prove top spies were behind the leaks. Trump revealed the extraordinary scheme to try to entrap the senior spies in a furious press conference where he suggested the intelligence community had been behind salacious and totally unproven allegations against him. ‘I think it’s pretty sad when intelligence reports get leaked out to the press. First of all, it’s illegal. These are classified and certified meetings and reports,’ Trump said during a press conference...
