The Rocklin kindergarten teacher who was engulfed in a firestorm of criticism after she read a book about a transgender child during story time in June was named teacher of the year Monday by the California Charter Schools Association – much to the consternation of some conservative groups.

An underground conservative newspaper at Taylor University was recently pressured into temporarily suspending publication for striking “fear in some students.” The anonymous paper, called Excalibur, was launched in February by a group of professors as a means to articulate “conservative stances boldy, extensively, and without fear of editorial filter,” according to a copy of the print edition obtained by Campus Reform.

So my daughter brought this home from school. Seems like unusual questions to ask a 1st grader, especially the third question. Would they have asked the same questions while Obama was President?  My daughter knows who Trump is but we don’t talk politics with her because she’s 6.
