HOUSTON, Texas--As illegal immigrants continue to spill across the U.S.-Mexico border, federal authorities are attempting to relocate the migrants from South Texas to housing facilities in states across the nation. One such facility is located in Murrieta, California, where a large group of protesters recently blocked a bus full of migrants from arriving.

A chartered airplane carrying another round of undocumented immigrant women and children landed in San Diego on the 4th of July. The plane arrived just before 7 p.m. The undocumented families and children from Central American were flown from Texas to San Diego for processing as part of a federal government plant to address the nation’s border crisis.

More than 40 children have arrived so far and Sister Ann Kendrick said she expects more in the coming weeks. The Obama administration announced it is designating a third U.S. military base for emergency housing of children immigrating illegally into the United States without parents or relatives. The news came as officials insist that the children are in good hands, despite allegations of abuse by US authorities. Immigration officials knowingly released dozens of murderers back into the U.S. in 2013, according to Obama administration statistics detailing all of the criminal convictions of the more than 36,000 immigrants released from custody last year.
