(Memphis, TN) Monday, September 8, Mike Morrison of Memphis, Tennessee, did a video interview of Mexican nationals bused into the city’s Social Security Administration office, potentially to receive Social Security cards, Mexican passports in hand along with letters from our federal government (photos shown below). As Morrison also attests, leaving the scene in his vehicle, he was pulled over by a police officer, not for any traffic violation, but to be issued a vague and ominous threat for what he had just done. His entire video is posted below with the comments he attached to them in Facebook and YouTube....

During Thursday night's California gubernatorial debate against Republican Neel Kashkari, California Governor Jerry Brown (D) revealed that nearly 30% of the state's schoolchildren are either illegal immigrants or do not speak English. Brown, who recently said that illegal immigrants from Mexico were "all welcome in California," praised his administration's immigration policies. He said that California is "setting the pace" on immigration laws and mentioned bills he signed that gave driver's licenses to illegal immigrants, made California a sanctuary state (Trust Act), and granted in-state tuition to illegal immigrants (CA DREAM Act).

Enforce laws at your political leisure. Name recess appointments when there’s no recess. Legislate through regulation. Rewrite environmental laws. Rewrite immigration policy. Rewrite tax legislation. Bomb Libya. Bomb Syria. All by fiat. All good. The only question now is: what can’t Barack Obama do without Congress? How about joining binding international agreements without the Senate’s consent? Also, good. The New York Times reports that Obama, who failed to pass sweeping domestic climate-change legislation in his first term, is “working to forge a sweeping international climate-change agreement to compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions, but without ratification from...

many unaccompanied alien children (UAC) were set free in various counties across the country. More were released in Texas' Harris County--in which Houston is located--than any other county in the nation. ... Dallas County received the second most UAC in Texas ... Educating the foreign minors will not be cheap; David Anderson, the Texas Education Agency General Counsel, recently pointed out that due to cultural differences and language barriers, it will be more costly to education immigrant children than it is to educate students who are U.S. citizens. In Texas, more than $45 million will be spent educating the UAC...

Importing Dangerous Diseases With reports that illegal immigrants bring the risk of Ebola and other viral illnesses, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons representative, Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet, has noted that, “Border Patrol sources repeatedly warn that we do not know who is coming across our southern borders, all the countries of origin, what diseases they may carry, or where they go after being released with a summons to appear months later in court.” An investigation by the Accuracy in Media Center for Investigative Journalism shows that American religious groups, using federal money, are facilitating this growing crisis and trying...

A Nebraska conservative group filed a complaint last week against the University of Nebraska at Omaha after taking issue with a statement its researchers issued on unaccompanied children entering the United States. The statement, issued jointly by UNO’s Office of Latino/Latin American Studies and The Heartland Workers Center, called for an end to the “demonization” of children fleeing from Mexico and Central America and for Congress to reject measures that would roll back protections for the children. The statement initially included a call for action and the phone numbers for lawmakers.

The recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll surely doesn’t bode well for the Obama administration, which promised hope and change on a platter back in 2008. Seventy-one percent of Americans feels that the country is going in the wrong direction. President Obama’s job approval has dropped to 40 percent–and only 42 percent approve of how he’s handling the economy. Approval on foreign policy, an area where this administration polled somewhat strongly, fell to 36 percent among Americans. Regarding the economy, Carol Lee of the Wall Street Journal said earlier this morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe that “there’s a total...

There is very bad news for President Obama and the Democrats in a new poll released last night by Investor’s Business Daily. John Merline writes: President Obama's approval rating dropped to his lowest levels as the public hammers him on his handling of each of the major crises facing the country, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll, released on Friday. The survey, taken the last week of July, found that only 38% of the public approves of the job Obama is doing as president, while 53% disapprove. That's a 10-point negative swing in just the past month. Breaking out the...

RAMONA — The controversial sheriff of Arizona’s Maricopa County was in Ramona [last] Saturday to weigh in on the increasingly contentious immigration debate, applauding the protesters who blocked busloads of Central Americans in Riverside County this month as “heroes of our country.” Sheriff Joe Arpaio said the standoff outside a Border Patrol processing station in Murrieta helped reignite discussion of U.S. immigration policy. “Until then, nobody was talking about it, nobody was doing anything about it,” he said before a standing room-only crowd of more than 500 supporters packed into the theater at the Ramona Mainstage. :snip: Arpaio came to...

Steinberg announced Wednesday that his policy director, Anthony Williams, and senior policy consultant, Margie Estrada, will participate in the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Legal Assistant Project as a part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Southern California Chapter "These children face a daunting immigration process in a foreign legal system without any legal representation. It is now all the fashionable rage in Washington, D.C., to proclaim solidarity with America's working poor in front of the cameras -- while stabbing them in the back behind closed doors. Privileged Illinois Democratic Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky and others have taken to Twitter, posting photos of themselves eating tuna sandwiches and buying Ramen noodles to show how much they empathize with minimum-wage workers. On the other side of the aisle, GOP Rep. Paul Ryan has wrapped himself in a cloak of compassion, putting a cheesy Taylor Swift hand heart around conservatism by proposing government "life coaches" for those in...

The UK is to halve to three months the time EU migrants without realistic job prospects can claim benefits. David Cameron said the "magnetic pull" of UK benefits had to be addressed so people came for the right reasons and the rules "put Britain first". The prime minister also warned people in the UK illegally: "We will find you, we will send you home." Labour said the PM's rhetoric masked a record of "failure" on immigration and "firm action" was needed. Ministers have been reluctant to say how many people are likely to be affected by benefit curbs, although BBC...

MCALLEN - Rio Grande Valley Emergency Management officials are concerned that the large amount of people here illegally may pose a dangerous situation in the event severe weather like a hurricane threatens the Valley. People who cross the border illegally have long been part of conversation in law enforcement circles. But now, emergency managers in McAllen have questions of their own, in the event of a hurricane. "You have extra sheltering areas and detention centers right here," said Barry Goldsmith, Brownsville National Weather Service Coordinator. "And are they able to withstand the wind, are they able to withstand flood waters...

Obama Is Filling DHS with Amnesty Revolutionaries Backed by Soros December 6, 2013 By Sara Noble Mr. Obama is using the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to execute a radical, far-left ideology. He is filling up DHS positions with radical open borders attorneys they don’t need. These revolutionaries, who come from organizations on the radical left, are being entrenched in high-paying lifetime positions. Even if a Republican Administration were able to get into office, they would not be able to get rid of these people. They are coming from extremist organizations such as Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund...

Dr. Russell D. Moore of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention and Ronnie Floyd, the current president of the Southern Baptist Convention, have added some much needed moral clarity to the crisis at the border. They have gone to our southern border and seen what is not just a national security problem, but a humanitarian crisis. Ronnie Floyd notes that the Southern Baptist National Disaster Relief Ministry is no longer permitted to assist those who have come over the border. The Department of Health and Human Services is now only letting federal contractors come into...

Gov. Rick Perry of Texas plans to order 1,000 National Guard troops to his state's border with Mexico in an effort to stem the tide of immigrants illegally entering from Central America, dispersing around the country once they've made it into Texas. Critics will call it a stunt and accuse Perry of showboating, but at least he is taking action, while President Obama, who took an oath to defend the country from all enemies foreign and domestic, drinks beer, plays pool and attends fundraisers as our borders are overrun. Enemies are more than adversary nations with weapons. An enemy can...

Williams Guevara-Martinez was almost 17 when he left his home near San Salvador, El Salvador, and headed north with three other youth and a 30-something guide known as a “coyote.” Guevara’s older brother Adam, had paid the coyote thousands of dollars for the 2,000-mile trip, which took 12 days. Guevara traveled by foot and car, finally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in the back of a truck. Fifteen minutes later, immigration officials discovered his illegal entry and sent him to a Texas shelter. He was there 24 days before flying from Houston to Baltimore, where he was reunited with two brothers,...
