A photo of Donald Trump's notes from his Thursday press briefing shows his script had been amended so the term 'corona virus' read 'Chinese virus' - as the president doubled down on his use of the term which critics have branded racist. During the speech, Trump repeated his argument that China is to blame for the original spread of the virus, which has claimed thousands of lives around the world. But he has faced criticism for calling it a 'Chinese virus', as the deadly disease is now a global pandemic.

College kids are bucking advice to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic and instead are partying in tight quarters aboard booze cruises. A Facebook video from STS Travel shows about 250 bikini-clad spring breakers dancing, drinking and throwing their cares to the wind aboard a ship near Nassau, Bahamas, on Monday, a day after the country reported its first COVID-19 case. “Our last booze cruise was yesterday,” the post reads. “The Blackbeard’s Revenge Cruise took such good care of our travelers, no one had to walk the plank!”

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw has instructed the department to begin delaying arrests for a slew of low-level criminal offenses — including all narcotics activity. The unprecedented move comes as the city takes emergency measures to contain the rapid spread of the coronavirus through the region. An internal memo obtained by Billy Penn and WHYY states that crimes including theft, burglary, prostitution, stolen automobiles, vandalism, and certain economic crimes will no longer automatically result in detention. Police will also temporarily stop enforcing bench warrants to individuals who fail to show up for court.

Last Thursday, Bernie Sanders, self-proclaimed Socialist, was campaigning at a rally in Phoenix, AZ when a man somewhere behind him unfurled a Nazi flag. As Sanders made an effort to speak, the cheers of his supporters were quickly replaced with boos. In less than thirty seconds, the man waving the flag had it snatched from his hand and was escorted out of the building by security. Most would agree that waving a NAZI flag around, particularly at an event focused on electing America’s first Jewish president and whose family was killed by Nazis during the Holocaust, is despicable. Many denounced...

Corona beer isn’t making any changes to its advertising despite the name’s unfortunate similarity to the deadly coronavirus. Constellation Brands, which brews several variations of the popular lager, said in a statement that its customers “understand there is no link between the virus and our business.” “Sales of Corona remain very strong and we appreciate the continued support from our fans,” Constellation Brands spokesperson Stephanie McGuane told CNN Business. “Our advertising with Corona is consistent with the campaign we have been running for the last 30 years and is based off strong consumer sentiment.” Constellation said Corona Extra sales grew...

WASHINGTON - House lawmakers are readying to campaign in the post-impeachment landscape, with Democrats eager to focus on policy issues and Republicans planning to attack swing-district Democrats for voting to remove a president whom many of their constituents support. Democrats plan to defend the majority, and specifically their 30 seats in districts that Mr. Trump won in 2016, by discussing the issue that gave them the gavel in 2018: lowering health-care costs. Lawmakers expect to stay far away from talking about the two articles of impeachment the House passed against the president in December. Republicans, meanwhile, will largely embrace running...

Democrats are calling on Twitter and Facebook to take down an edited video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., ripping up the State of the Union address -- claiming it's designed to “mislead” people. “The latest fake video of Speaker Pelosi is deliberately designed to mislead and lie to the American people, and every day that these platforms refuse to take it down is another reminder that they care more about their shareholders’ interests than the public’s interests,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, said Friday.

Dem Rep. Ilhan Omar Describes Disappointment of Moving to America, Seeing Homelessness ROUGH Transcript: When I first came to the United States, I remember one of the first things that I saw was homeless people sleeping on the sides of Manhattan when we arrived in New York. And I remember turning to my father and saying, “This does not look like the America you promised.” And my father said, “Hush, child, we are going to get to our America.” Because the America we were shown in the orientation states when we were coming here from the refugee camps in Kenya...

**SNIP** CO2 is a byproduct of many different types of human activity and, as we continue to destroy forests and foliage that help scrub the air and provide humans and other animals with breathable air, the amount of CO2 in our air gradually climbs. Studies have shown that too much CO2 in the air can trigger cognitive issues, decreasing the ability of a person to focus and hinder learning. Getting a few breaths of oxygen-rich “fresh” air tends to clear that up, but in a future where fresh air becomes harder and harder to come by, it could lead to...

A man wanted out of Pennsylvania was arrested Sunday morning in Smyth County, Virginia. Officials say a deputy was working radar in the construction zone near the 53-mile marker on Interstate 81 just after midnight, when a Ford pickup was traveling at a high rate of speed. The deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the truck accelerated and fled to exit 47, north on Highway 11, and eventually into a field at the end of Tranquility Lane. Officials say, after a brief standoff, in which the driver made multiple threats that he had a firearm, he was taken into custody....

In western Massachusetts, a group of a dozen or so climate activists tried to stop a trainload of coal heading for a power plant in New Hampshire…by standing on the railroad tracks in front of the train. Evidently they thought the train could, and would, screech to a halt. This short video is dark and doesn’t show much, but it conveys some sense of why this was a poor idea:

Law professor Jonathan Turley told CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell that "his wife and dog" have received threats after he testified in front of the House Judiciary last week as part of impeachment proceedings. “I know you received a lot of threats after what you did last week,” O’Donnell told the George Washington University law professor during CBS coverage of the impeachment hearings that took place on Monday. “And my wife and dog,” Turley noted. "To be fair, you did talk about them during your testimony. You did bring up your wife and dog," O'Donnell responded, referring to Turley's mention of...

WASHINGTON — Elizabeth Warren is leading a liberal rebellion against a long-held economic view that large tax increases slow economic growth, trying to upend Democratic policymaking in the way supply-side conservatives changed Republican orthodoxy four decades ago. Generations of economists, across much of the ideological spectrum, have long held that higher taxes reduce investment, slowing economic growth. That drag, the consensus held, would offset the benefits to growth from increased government spending in areas like education. Ms. Warren and other leading Democrats say the opposite. The senator from Massachusetts, who is a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, contends...

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Luke Logan missed a 35-yard extra point after Mississippi receiver Elijah Moore was penalized for celebrating a touchdown by crawling and pretending to urinate like a dog, and Mississippi State ended up with a 21-20 victory Thursday night in the 116th Egg Bowl. Ole Miss (4-8, 2-6 Southeastern Conference) pulled within a point with 4 seconds remaining on Matt Corral's 2-yard pass to Moore, but Logan hooked the extra point after Moore cost the Rebels 15 yards. "That's not who we are. We've been a disciplined team all year, and so just disappointed that happened," coach Matt...

U.S.—Chick-fil-A has said it will stop making donations to Christian groups that oppose the LGBTQ movement. The move is said to be a "good trade" as Chick-fil-A has sacrificed its Christian fans in favor of an outraged mob that will stop at nothing to destroy them. Restaurant spokespeople say they believe this move will be enough to appease the LGBTQ community and aren't worried about further demands from the mob until Chick-fil-A is groveling at the outraged leftists' feet.

About 100 students at an Oregon high school walked out of classes last week in support of the LGBTQ community after they said a series of events made students feel unsafe, including the presence of a Chick-fil-A food truck at home football games. The West Linn High School students, organized by the school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance, walked out of school Friday to protest what they say is rising anti-LGBTQ sentiment on campus. GSA President Susie Walters, who organized the protest, told a local NBC affiliate that LGBTQ students have increasingly been the target of harassment and bullying at the...

**SNIP** BREAK TRANCRIPT RUSH: One more thing on our last caller. I think the Democrats are gonna screw this up like they’ve screwed everything. Remember, folks, as they have gone public with all of their private investigations, Mueller went public, his testimony. It was a disaster. Every time they’ve gone public, when they’re really feeling their oats, it has blown up in their faces. And they’re gonna screw this up, too, because, folks, it turns out they are stupider than we think they are. Or another way of saying it, they’re not nearly as smart as we think they are....

There’s controversy ahead over new criminal justice reforms. Cash bail will be eliminated Jan. 1 for hundreds of offenses, and some defendants could be let out earlier and given rewards to get them to show up to court, CBS2’s Lisa Rozner reported Monday. State judges will no longer require cash bail for most misdemeanors and non-violent felonies like selling drugs or burglarizing a home, and the state says nearly 900 city residents in jail now will be released starting mid-December. Bail bondsman Ira Judelson said he’s already seeing fewer arrests. “We’re going to have a major public safety issue on...
