All of these NFL players and now MLB players who are protesting the symbols and institutions of the United States are at best hypocrites and at worst liars. They have every right to protest any perceived insult or unfairness that they think exists, and I have the right to call the liars and hypocrites for it…It is after all my opinion…and it appears that opinion is all that counts nowadays. If you’re wondering why I use the specific term hypocrite or liar, let me explain. They say they are protesting because of injustice, institutionalized racism and inequality. But let’s look...

RUSH: There also was a telethon. A bunch of leftist celebrities got together for a telethon to raise money for the hurricane relief effort, and it quickly turned into the Wellstone Memorial Jr. It became nothing more than a leftist rant. Like, Stevie Wonder led it off. You know, I’ve always told you climate change, to the people that believe it, it’s a religion. As Stevie Wonder was talking about climate change, they had a church choir and an organ with people decked out in robes chanting things behind him while he was singing, eulogizing or talking about climate change....

Now we're told that some racism and supremacism is perfectly okay. Nor is the DNC troubled by the fact that its own National Chairman, Thomas Perez, who served as Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division during President Obama's first term, has repeatedly shown himself to be a profoundly ugly racialist. Under the rubric of “disparate impact” theory, for instance, Perez believes that bankers and mortgage lenders who reject the loan applications of blacks at a higher rate than the loan applications of whites — regardless of the reason — are akin to Klansmen. While such lenders discriminate...

Airbnb is cancelling accounts of far-right activists who appear to have booked reservations in the US state of Virginia before a rally that neo-Nazis and white supremacists are expected to attend. The march, which is set to take place in Charlottesville on Saturday, has been dubbed "Unite the Right" by organisers and was called to support a local statue of Robert E Lee, the Confederacy's foremost military leader during the US Civil War. Among those slated to speak are far-right figures such as Jason Kessler - who claims to be an organiser of the march - and Richard Spencer, a...

RUSH: I went out to Los Angeles for the weekend. I had to go out there to play golf. Everybody I play golf with is gone, out of town here in Palm Beach. So I went out and, you know, it was a fabulous time. I played Bel-Air yesterday, and Jack Wagner was in the foursome, the famous actor. The guy is a scratch golfer, maybe plus one, knocks the ball 325 yards. Just the nicest guy, and he plays so well it’s intimidating. But I had a fine last three holes and our team pulled even and broke even....

.. At a security conference this week, the director of the C.I.A., Mike Pompeo, criticized The New York Times for a recent article about an officer who was tapped to run the agency’s Iran operations, a newsworthy promotion because it was an indication of the hard line against Iran that President Trump promised during his campaign. Mr. Pompeo said that the publication of the official’s name, Michael D’Andrea, was “unconscionable” and put his covert status in jeopardy. Mr. Pompeo’s comments led to a wider discussion about the publication of Mr. D’Andrea’s name, and some readers wrote to us to express...

From California to London, the tech giants are employing top architects to build spectacular symbols of their immense global power. But they have their critics… We know by now that the internet is a giant playpen, a landscape of toys, distractions and instant gratification, of chirps and squeaks and bright, shiny things – plus, to be sure, ugly, horrid beasties lurking in all the softness – apparently without horizon. Graphics – rounded corners, lower case, Google’s primary colours, Twitter’s birdie, Facebook’s shades of blue – enhance the innocence and infantilism. It is a world, as Jonathan Franzen once said, “so...

Remember the important qualifier for officials to be subject to impeachment? High crimes and misdemeanors? According to Vanity Fair contributor, T.A. Frank, perhaps we should add "offensive" to the reasons for impeachment. Frank is honest in admitting in his July 6 article that, so far, the Trump-Russia collusion theory has turned into a big nothingburger. He also suggests that there might not ever be any impeachable high crimes and misdemeanors as a basis to remove President Donald Trump from office. So what to do? What to do? Simple. Impeach Trump for being merely "offensive." Frank make his case in IS...

What NBC’s Willie Geist spun as a rundown of the political echo chambers in America on Sunday Today, quickly devolved into a condemnation of the rise of conservative media. “Fake news is a favorite term, as you know, of President Trump. What you consider real and fake in many cases has become a question of where you're sitting and who you're listening to,†declared Geist at the start of the segment. He ignored the fact that the term was first used to describe stories about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. According to him, reporter Hallie Jackson was supposed to...

On Thursday, the House voted 228-195 against sanctuary cities. Not surprisingly, it went down along party lines. Am I the only one who finds it hard to believe that a member of the U.S. House would support a city that violates federal laws? Would we have a similar vote if some U.S. cities decided to make abortion illegal? or not issue "same-sex marriage" licenses? or a sanctuary cities for employers who refuse to contribute to Social Security? or citizens who refuse to file tax returns? Would Democrats be OK with that? My guess is that Planned Parenthood might object to...

The deadly collision that unfolded outside a mosque in London early Monday has been declared a terrorist attack by British officials . “We don’t yet know the full details, but this was clearly a deliberate attack on innocent Londoners, many of whom were finishing prayers during the holy month of Ramadan,” London mayor Sadiq Khan wrote in a statement. “While this appears to be an attack on a particular community, like the terrible attacks in Manchester, Westminster and London Bridge, it is also an assault on all our shared values of tolerance, freedom and respect,” he said.

Katie listed ten Democrats who have done a 180-degree turn on former FBI Director James Comey, who was fired by President Trump earlier this week. Now, itÂ’s a scandal. ItÂ’s Watergate (except that itÂ’s not). ItÂ’s a constitutional crisis (also wrong). And something about Russia is the latest string of rants from Democrats. Remember after Mr. Comey informed Congress that he would be reviewing new emails relating to the FBIÂ’s investigation into Hillary ClintonÂ’s email usage 11 days before the election, Democrats torched the now ex-director. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) openly admitted that back then, many in his party were...

Yesterday, it was announced ESPN is laying off upwards of 100 employees – many of whom are prominent on-air talent. The challenges facing ESPN are newly discovered; a lot has been written about ESPN’s recent decline in ratings and subscriptions. FOX Sports – the primary TV competitor to “the worldwide leader in sports” – has enjoyed twisting the knife as ESPN faces cutting on-screen talent to make up for budget shortfalls. The FOX blog “Outkick the Coverage” has attributed ESPN’s decline to the rising partisanship coming out of Bristol, labeling the network “MSESPN” in pieces like this one, headlined “ESPN...

An alcohol-fueled obscenity and racial slur-laced tirade have cost a Miami senator his job. CBS Miami reports Republican Sen. Frank Artiles officially submitted his letter of resignation on Friday. ...Artiles was chastised for using a form of the “n-word” during an exchange with two African-American colleagues Monday night. It happened when he was out with fellow Senators Audrey Gibson from Jacksonville and Perry Thurston from Fort Lauderdale.

The Catholic Church under Pope Francis has not changed her teaching on the immorality of cohabitation, adultery, divorce, or homosexuality, and she has certainly not opened the door for civilly-divorced-and-remarried Catholics to receive Holy Communion, said Cardinal Gerhard Muller in a new book-length interview published April 1. Muller, the head of the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, said in the 240-page book, titled The Cardinal Muller Report, that Catholics must not fear “confessing our faith." The book was dedicated to Pope Francis. In the interview, conducted about a year ago but only made available in English this month,...

Bartenders at a West Village hot spot served up discrimination — with a liberal twist — refusing to serve a customer because he was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, according to a lawsuit. Greg Piatek, 30, an accountant from Philadelphia, claims he was snubbed and eventually 86’d by workers at The Happiest Hour on West 10th Street over his conservative fashion statement, popularized by Donald Trump on the campaign trail, he told The Post. “Anyone who supports Trump — or believes what you believe — is not welcome here! And you need to leave right now because we...

……..policy over which they have never expressed much concern. Cynical, much? The Mexican government constantly and quite roughly deports any and all illegal immigrants they catch coming over their southern border – that is, if those immigrants don’t have sufficient inducements with which to bribe Mexican officials, not all of which involve money, if you know what I mean. The Mexican Church has had very little to say about that. But in a sense, this very much makes sense, as bishops for a given country should have as their primary concern the well-being of their own citizens. Of course, Mexicans...

It's hard to separate Donald Trump's businesses from his politics. As a result, some are calling for a boycott of any company that sell Trump products. Shannon Coulter, a brand and digital strategist, started the #GrabYourWallet hashtag in October following the publication of a leaked tape that showed Trump making lewd comments about women. Coulter used the hashtag to encourage people who were offended by Trump's language and actions to boycott companies doing business with his family.
