In an interview Thursday with Alter Family Politics on SiriusXM, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) weighed in on former President Obama's upcoming speech to Wall Street firm Cantor Fitzgerald. Obama is expected to receive at least $400,000 for the speaking engagement. TOMMY ALTER: Senator Warren, what do you think about President Obama accepting $400,000 from Wall Street? SEN. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) implied during a Wednesday press conference that President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, has been "complicit" in her father's actions, which the lawmaker described as "not acting in the interest of the American people." Pelosi's remarks came after she was asked about comments Ivanka Trump made during an interview on "CBS This Morning." CBS host Gayle King had asked Trump to address those who say she is "complicit" in her father's White House. "In an interview today, Ivanka Trump said, ‘I don't know what it means to be complicit' and that ‘not to...

The Socialist senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, set off a Twitterstorm yesterday with a tweet that was hard to believe. We are living in a nation which worships wealth rather than caring for the poor. I don't think that is the nation we should be living in.— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) March 18, 2017 Needless to say, this towering hypocrisy did not go unnoticed in the Twitterverse: @BernieSanders Says the man who owns 3 homes one which cost over $600,000. I'm guessing you have homeless people you're housing? Do as I say, not as I do?— lc65265 (@lc65265) March 18,...

Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) was highly critical of Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos during her confirmation hearing, citing that DeVos had never attended a public school or sent a child to one, alphanews.com reported on March 2. But Franken seems to like the idea of sending his own children to private schools — they attended Dalton School in New York City where tuition is $44,640 per year. “Dalton is known for educating celebrities and children of royalty,” alphanews.com reported. And Franken himself enjoyed attending a private school. “According to an interview with Harvard Magazine, Franken was a math and science...

After then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch confirmed she met with former President Bill Clinton on a plane last June, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) dismissed calls for an independent prosecutor to take over the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Today, however, Schumer called for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to resign and demanded a special prosecutor because of a report Sessions had met with the Russian Ambassador in 2016, something he did not disclose during his confirmation hearings. Sessions denies the report and says he “never met with any Russian officials to discuss the issues of the (Trump presidential) campaign.” […] “She’s an honorable...

Leonardo DiCaprio claims to care about the Earth. He also blames mankind for the threat of climate change. But he’s unwilling to let his passion for the planet get in the way of his Oscar preening. Together with a fellow actor, DiCaprio flew a makeup artist 15,000 miles round-trip across the Pacific Ocean to tidy up their eyebrows for the 2017 Oscars, according to the Independent (UK). Dicaprio and fellow actor Tobey Maguire insisted on seeing brow artist Sharon-Lee Hamilton, despite the fact that she lives in Sydney, Australia — 7,500 miles from Los Angeles. DiCaprio must have forgotten that...

Pope Francis delivered another criticism of some members of his own Church on Thursday, suggesting it is better to be an atheist than one of "many" Catholics who he said lead a hypocritical double life. In improvised comments in the sermon of his private morning Mass in his residence, he said: "It is a scandal to say one thing and do another. That is a double life." "There are those who say 'I am very Catholic, I always go to Mass, I belong to this and that association'," the head of the 1.2 billion-member Roman Catholic Church said, according to...

Donald Trump issued a substantively sound—though perhaps poorly executed—executive order on refugees attempting to enter the U.S., and liberals across America find another excuse to avoid work (or to avoid looking for work) and conduct a protest. I suppose we should be used to this by now, but somehow the modern left always seems to find some way to take their protests fits to new heights lows. Of course, leading the way into the verbal gutter is the Hollywood elite. Of course, Hollywood liberals—perhaps better known as the “people-who-pretend-to-be-other-people” as Chicks on the Right describe them—are typically familiar with gutters...

A Canadian conservative think tank says Jane Fonda’s “an environmental hypocrite” after the left-wing activist and actress protested the Canadian oil sands in northern Alberta. The Manning Centre told The Daily Caller on Sunday that Fonda excoriates the oil sands project because the oil it yields produces greenhouse gasses. But Colin Craig, media manager for the centre, says Fonda has “a carbon footprint the size of a small town,” referring to her jet-setting lifestyle that includes a lot of world travel. Do You Agree With This Criticism Of Jane Fonda? Yes No

In Matt. 16:18 Jesus said: “You are Peter and upon this rock I shall build my Church.” It’s unlikely that at that time Jesus was thinking of any franchising opportunities for His Church by including a fast food restaurant. When He gave Peter the keys to the Kingdom, He didn’t give him keys to a McDonald’s. Well folks, if you have not heard about this yet, McDonald’s has just opened one of its newest franchise locations just steps away from where the center of all Catholicism sits. Just before 2016 came to a close, McDonald’s started serving up its world-famous...

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday fended off a challenge to her long leadership reign, defeating Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) in a closed-door vote prompted largely by Donald Trump’s unlikely ascension to the White House. Pelosi got 134 votes to Ryan's 63 — winning 68 percent of the votes after declaring before the election that she had the support of two-thirds of the caucus. The victory sends a message that while there's a growing appetite for major changes in the party's leadership structure and messaging tactics, it's not strong enough to loosen Pelosi's grip on a liberal-heavy group...

Last week, a source to Digital Music News leaked that the Rolling Stones had been invited to play the Presidential Inauguration. Now, it appears that the invitation came months ago, and it didn’t come from the Trump Administration. We’re now getting a better idea on just how cocky the Democratic Party was heading into Election Day. According to a connected source disclosing details with Digital Music News over the weekend, it now appears that the Rolling Stones were invited to play the Inauguration back in September. But the invitation looks like it came from the Democratic Party, Clinton campaign, or...
