Bernie Sanders hilariously rails against Americans 'worshiping wealth'
American Thinker ^ | March 19, 2017 | Rick Moran

A man who owns 3 homes — including a recent purchase of a $600,000 vacation home — took to Twitter yesterday to criticize Americans because we’re a nation that “worships wealth rather than caring for the poor.”

In response, the snark was running hot and heavy as the twitterverse destroyed the socialist Senator from Vermont.

@BernieSanders Says the man who owns 3 homes one which cost over $600,000. I’m guessing you have homeless people you’re housing? Do as I say, not as I do?

Sometimes, you must bow to the absurd. But the absurdity of Sanders claiming we worship wealth while he lives like a king was just too good a target to pass up. …

Sanders is a person of no consequence.
He demonstrates this almost every day.

Bernie Sanders lost his credibility when he caved and supported Hillary. Why did he? Was he paid off, a man who would sell his principles for a little wealth?

criticize Americans because we’re a nation that “worships wealth rather than caring for the poor.”

Anybody else, ever get frustrated at how liberal put out these false narratives, false choices???

So we have a choice between “worshiping wealth” and caring for the poor???? That’s our binary choice in how this country works???/ Really?????

The fact that the wealthy are taxed at very high rates already, and that they pay a big percentage of all federal income taxes, is ignored.

The fact that we have spent trillions on various anti-poverty programs, since the War ON Poverty was declared by LBJ in 1964, is also ignored.

To make this half assed political statement, you have to both ignore the major tax income collected from wealthy and upper middle class people, and likewise, conclude that the trillions spent fighting poverty just hasn’t been enough.

And that the trillions spent means that we don’t care at all for the poor, because apparently the trillions spent just weren’t quite enough.

What horseblank from socialistic thinking, in my opinion.

Reminds me of the old joke....

A communist demagogue was rabble rousing, speechifying that under socialism the poor could live in the homes of the rich, drive their cars and wear their fine clothes. After he’d finished speaking one of his most enthusiastic hearers asked if he’d give him his coat to keep the cruel winter at bay, seeing that the man also had a fine overcoat.

The man redoubled his claims of what would be under socialism.

“Yes, but isn’t that years off? I’m freezing now!” the man protested.

“But it’s MY coat.” the communist cut him off.

Remember, it's tradition for the party bosses to own lakeside dachas. Stalin's looked more like a 1950s funeral parlor than a vacation home.

"From each according to his ability to each according to his needs." Bernie needs four houses.

I have a modest proposal for the man who abandoned his supporters at the DNC, for calmer waters. He should turn that recently acquired lakefront home into a refugee camp for migrants.

I can borderline tolerate principled leftists who live by the principles they espouse. But Bernie? He still pretends he's incorruptible and above it all.

No such thing as a principled leftist. None of them live by any of their extremely fungible principles, especially the ones they steal from the Bible and warp them to translate into governmental control of all things.

You reminded me of another Soviet joke, told by Myron Cohen.
Moscow, Russia: 20,000 people in Red Square. Being harangued by Khrushchev.

And among other things, he promises: “Everyone in Russia is entitled to a free refrigerator and washing machine! You don’t have it, you let me know and I’ll get it for you!”

One man raises his hand. Khrushchev asks, “What’s your name?” The man answers, “Levin.” “What do you want?” “I ain’t got it.” Khrushchev replies, “I’ll take care of that!”

A week goes by: Again, 20,000 Russians assemble in Red Square. And again, Khrushchev.

”Everybody in Russia is entitled to a refrigerator and a washing machine! You don’t have it, you let me know!”

A man raises his hand. Khrushchev asks, “What’s your name?” The man answers, “Goldstein.” Khrushchev asks, “What do you want?”

”What happened to Levin?”
That would be what Bernie’s paradise would look like, of course.

Supposedly, his wife was threatened. He was very unhappy at that convention.

He really has not profited the way most congresspeople do. He won’t profit the way most presidential candidates do from running. I don’t find him as disgustingly hypocritical as most. There are dozens if not hundreds worse than him. He’s a pretty true believer in a socialist system that has never worked. For whatever it’s worth.

He’s not supposed to have a wife; he’s supposed to believe in “abolition of the family”. And he’s also not supposed to own any private property, believing in the abolition of that too. So yes, he is disgustingly hypocritical.

Socialism is responsible for the deaths of over 100 million people in the last century. It has proven to be an economic disaster. The “masses” starve in places like Cuba and North Korea and the leaders there live like kings. (are our Hollywood knuckleheads still traveling to Venezuela to sing the praise of that regime?) Yet people still believe this nonsense. Barney can have three houses because he is entitled. He works so hard for the “little people.” How many homeless or refugees does he have in his vacant houses? He pays 13.5% in taxes an Trump pays 25%.
