Former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin – whose lips have been sealed about the recent repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” – is now hinting that she supports the move. Palin has not spoken publicly about the end of the ban on gays serving openly in the military, but she appeared to show support for the change via a retweet on Monday night of a gay conservative radio host.

If the birdlife on earth didn’t have enough to worry about, like dwindling habitats, air pollution and the hostile ecosystem of cities, they now have the added perplexity of going gay. A study conducted by researchers from the University of Florida and Peradeniya University in Sri Lanka found that relatively low doses of methylmercury in the diet of male ibises resulted in their pairing up with each other, snubbing the females, to the extent of building nests together (in other words, moving in together). On Feb. 1, "World News Sunday" helped shamed former-pastor Ted Haggard take shots at the Christian conservatives who he says "shunned him." Reporter Dan Harris introduced the piece by qualifying Haggard as a former "insider, a powerful pastor at the highest levels of the Christian conservative movement."
