Dead Foot Arms now offers a game changing folding stock adaptor known as the Modified Cycle System Firearms manufacturers are constantly churning out new parts and accessories so shooters can upgrade the AR-15 experience, but Dead Foot Arms has come up with something they believe is a true game-changer. Their Modified Cycle System (MCS) is the first and only drop-in folding stock adaptor for the AR-15 platform that allows the gun to fire whether the stock is deployed or folded. The American Shooting Journal recently had a conversation with Russ Simonis, COO of the veteran-owned and -operated company, to find...

You don't hear too many tourists coming to the United States to shoot firearms. But it is a fact according to the U.S. Travel/Trade, its in many of the wealthy Chinese tourists buckets of things to do in the U.S. In China, you cannot own a firearm, air rifle or even a toy gun. Having a toy gun can land you some jail time. Which obviously has created an odd tourism opportunity here. Enter Dickson Wong, who is a marksman with a deep interest in firearms. He arranges tours for groups of chinese tourists who are gun enthusiasts to travel...
  • Mythbustin AK-47 Inaccuracies

After seeing another blog claim that the AK47 shot 10 MOA (or 10″ groups at 100 yards), James Reeves became fed up with the bullshit and decided to test the prevalent belief that the AK is an inaccurate combat rifle. In this episode of TFBTV, James compares an American made AR15 to a Russian and Serbian/Yugoslavian AK to answer this question (and perhaps bust this myth?) once and for all. James uses the Yugo M70 AK and Saiga SGL21 AK shooting 124 grain Wolf ammo. Shooting the target at 100 yards downrange. The AK's did well against the AR's. Shooting...
  • Getting Real Close to this Hog

There's close… and then there’s REALLY too close! Watch as a hog almost takes this hunter out. Let me set the scene: A trio of hounds have a large hog pinned to the ground while a hunter shouts commands from some 15 feet away. Well, at least that's how it begins. The scenario quickly unravels, however, as the pig suddenly leaps to it's feet and begins a direct charge forward. This intense video shows why hog hunting isn't for the faint of heart. Things can change in a split second, and as you're about to see, this hunter came within...
  • The Viet Congs were Hunted with Silent Revolvers

The guns 'special' rounds were quiet but lacked stopping power Since World War II, America's elite forces have used quiet firearms for missions where it pays to be silent. Sound suppressors—commonly referred known as silencers—remain in service today. What many don't know is that U.S. commandos once carried revolvers with special cartridges designed to muffle gunshots. In the 1960s, the AAI Corporation developed the cartridges for the U.S. Army's and Navy's rifles, pistols and shotguns. The U.S. Army Special Forces and Rangers tested the unique ammunition in Vietnam. While they offered many advantages, AAI's products failed to win any widespread...

Take a look at these prototype 12 gauge Link Slugs made in the Northwest. These are very heavy slugs and are still under development. Since no high speed camera tests have been done yet, Taofledermaus had the pleasure of doing that. These shells were pre-loaded. The heavy hitter slug weighs in at 1.53 oz, this baby moves at 1300 feet per seconds. Means it will deliver 2518 ft/lbs of kinetic energy. (knock down power) See the full 12 gauge link slugs footage here.

Else where in the U.S., Georgia authorities are looking for your help to nab whoever taped this deer to a road sign. Officers said the deer was found on Highway 90 after several people called 911 to report it. According to officers, the deer had been shot, so they are investigating if the deer was illegally hunted. In a photo posted on Facebook, you can see someone duct taped sunglasses on the deer, and it appears they also put a shirt on it. Photos of the deer first appeared on Facebook on Tuesday. And now WALB reports authorities are saying...

Steel toe vs .45 results in a painful experience. Originally this story was talked about on a gun forum. Here's the excerpt from the thread: "This guy and his co workers were discussing whether a steel toe boot would withstand a round from a .45, so what do do you think would be the best way to test this theory? YUP, you guessed it." You'd think this person would try this out without having to wear the boot. It doesn't take a smart person to guess it would be a bad idea to shoot your steel-toed boot, hoping it'll stop...

Hopefully, you will never have to experience or get into harms way as these men of the 101st Airborne did. But in every home/vehicle or active shooter defense scenario. If given a chance to foil an attack, you might want to do so in a similar fashion as these Airborne troopers. But seriously for us private citizens just remember wherever you're at either at the mall or in your car. Get out of the area and run (or drive)as fast as you can to safety then call for help. See the footage here.

Is there a worse feeling in the world than when a big fish breaks your line? But very few get a shot at redemption on the same fish. Thats what happened to this AnglerWatch as he hooks into a big gar and loses it. But he gets a second chance when they just happen to run across the float a couple of hours later… is just a crazy fishing tale! It’s great that he’s got it on video. Not many would likely believe the story otherwise. That was some excellent work to get the line re-tied without spooking the gar...

or it could be called "run and gun" When you're just plinking at the range, it's no big deal to just stand and fire away, but in a self-defense situation, the very first thing you should do is move. Moving helps turn the tables on your attacker by forcing them to react to what you’re doing. It also makes you much harder to hit, should they decide to start shooting. You have two goals when making that shot while moving. First, don't trip. That might cause you to shoot yourself, or someone else. Second: You want to keep as stable...

Is more than meets the eye as this long range shooting shows – the old war horse of Russia The M91/30 Mosin-Nagant with 7N1 ammo is a formidable long range rifle system. This segment highlights a demonstration of just how effective an unmodified military rifle can be in experienced hands. This rifle is in 100% original military configuration and had NOT been equipped with any optical sights, yet it slams steel at 944 yards as easy as anything else on the shelf. Many assume these rifle like this (purchased for under $100) must need modification to shoot well… but what...

We all know a guy. You know. That Guy. The one who 'has a plan' when the Zombie Apocalypse' happens (it won't). That plan usually consists of holing up in a mall or a grocery store, brandishing ridiculous weapons, and may have taken a martial arts class once. There's a survival variant, too, and I'm gonna tell you all about it. You might find that you're a That Guy. There's no shame in it. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. I was a mall ninja once, and I'll admit it, I still like overly complicated...

The unique cliff-sided beach on Ussuri Bay - known here as Glass Bay - has been likened on sunny days to sparkling jewellery or lighted candles. Once jagged and dangerous shards of broken bottles, porcelain and tiles have been smoothed and polished by decades of erosion. Nature corrected man's mistake, and stamped its own imprint. The beach attracts throngs of tourists each summer, yet without more pollution it will be gone forever in two decades, partly due to souvenir hunters, says expert Professor Pyotr Brovko.

Noah Dyer, a Democratic candidate for governor in Arizona, boasts that "my extensive sexual experiences equip me to understand the issues most important to the citizens of this state. For adults, and some children, sex is the most rewarding activity they will ever know. Few others understand this as well as I do. That will be the key to my ascension to the throne of governor." Dyer laid out his qualifications arguing that "my frequent casual sex, sex with married women, sex with multiple partners at once, sexting, and video-taping my sexual encounters demonstrate an unprecedented transparency among those of...

If you don't know what a Prince Rupert Drop is, it is a toughened glass beads created by dripping molten glass into cold water, which causes it to solidify into a tadpole-shaped droplet with a long, thin tail. (from Wiki) A Prince Rupert's Drop has a reputation of being virtually indestructible; but what will a .38 special round do to it? If you haven't seen one before, a Prince Rupert's Drop is an amazing feat of engineering that can stand up to a ton of pressure. In the past we've already discovered that even being shot point blank with a...
