Some people on the Koko Head Crater Trail got an unexpected thrill Tuesday morning as they met President Obama while on a hike. Earlier in the morning, President Obama returned to the Marine Corps Base Hawaii gym for a second consecutive day for a hour’s workout.

So far, since Obama flew off to Hawaii he has done nothing but golf. Since he arrived there, we have had the angry black woman run over 35 people in Las Vegas, ending the life of a young mother of three. In Afghanistan, where Obama declared all combat operations over, six Americans were killed. Obama has remained silent on these two incidents, and has instead been busy golfing with Bobby Titcomb. Who is Bobby Titcomb? He is the Obama pal who was arrested in 2011 for 'soliciting prostitute' in Hawaii sting operation. Talk about Obama priorities.

According to the White House press pool, President Obama is playing a round of golf at the Mid-Pacific Country Club. The president’s motorcade arrived at the Kailua course around 12:30 p.m. Monday where he will be playing in a group that includes longtime friends Greg Orme, Darrell Harrington and Bobby Titcomb. Earlier in the morning, President Obama worked out for the first time this vacation at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii’s gym in Kaneohe. After Sunday’s family hike at the Makiki loop trail, the First Family had dinner with friends at Morimoto Waikiki.

After Air Force One arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam a little after 2 a.m. Saturday, President Obama and the First Lady got some rest at their Kailua vacation rental and later spent the day outdoors. Michelle Obama “looked about the same you would imagine when you see pictures of her. She was in her workout clothes. She was very, very toned and athletic, and much taller than I expected.”

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to review the ability of cities and states to prohibit semiautomatic high-capacity assault weapons that have been used in some of the nation’s most deadly recent mass shootings. The justices decided not to reconsider a lower court’s decision in a case from the city of Highland Park, Ill., near Chicago. But seven states — Maryland, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York — have similar bans, and all of the prohibitions remain in place. Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia said the court should review the ban, which “flouts” the court’s Second...

Full title: Judicial Watch Statement on Supreme Court Order Halting Hawaii from Conducting Race-based Election Pending Appeal (Washington, DC) - Judicial Watch today responded to the Supreme Court's issuance of an injunction halting a race-based "Native Hawaiian-only" election in Hawaii. In August, Judicial Watch filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of the five Hawaiian residents and one Texas resident of Hawaiian descent who oppose the discriminatory election process (Keli'i Akina, et al. v. The State of Hawaii, et al. (No. 1:15-cv-00322)). Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated: "The Supreme Court today issued an injunction that put a hard stop to...

President Obama is sending an “expeditionary force” of U.S. military special operators to carry out raids against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, a move that expands on their decision to send about 50 special operators to Syria to coordinate air strikes. “In full coordination with the Government of Iraq, we’re deploying a specialized expeditionary targeting force to assist Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces and put even more pressure on [ISIS],” Defense Secretary Ash Carter told the House Armed Services Committee in announcing the new deployment on Tuesday. Carter got a hint of just how difficult it may be to sell...

WASHINGTON -- Between the chilly temperatures and the pace of the push-ups, there was plenty to complain about after eight lawmakers straggled into the park behind the Longworth House Office Building for their regular 6:30 a.m. workout. While the others in the group griped and groaned on a recent Tuesday, Representative Tulsi Gabbard, 34, her Hindu prayer beads wrapped around a wrist for her daily yoga meditation, said little. "Tulsi, you hearing a lot of whining?" asked Representative Markwayne Mullin, a burly Oklahoma Republican and former professional mixed martial arts fighter who leads the workouts, mocking the complaints of her...

Courtesy Shutterstock The Supreme Court has just issued an order (read it here) blocking the racially discriminatory separatist election in Hawaii. The order enjoins (stops) the counting of ballots and certification of results pending further order of the Supreme Court. I covered the electionhere and here at PJ Media. Only one race is permitted to register to vote with Hawaiian government officials for the separatist election.Hawaii has given a private organization millions of dollars to run the election. They believe these actions are constitutional. Judicial Watch has sued Hawaii, and the Public Interest Legal Foundation has filed an emergency...

Hawaii Gov. David Ige says the state would welcome refugees from Syria with aloha. Ige said in a statement Monday that Hawaii and the U.S. have a long history of welcoming refugees affected by war and oppression. Ige spokeswoman Jodi Leong says it's too early to speculate on how many may come to Hawaii as the governor hasn't been contacted by President Barack Obama or his administration. The governor says "Hawaii is the Aloha State, known for its tradition of welcoming all people with tolerance and mutual respect." Ige says safety is his first priority. He says the U.S. accepts...

It's bad enough having a state hold an election that is racially discriminatory. Now we have a judge willing to allow it to move forward. That would be federal district court Judge J. Michael Seabright (a George W. Bush appointee, surprisingly enough). He's refused to issue an injunction to stop an election in Hawaii to set up a separate government that excludes anyone who doesn't meet the state's definition of "Native Hawaiian." Seabright's deplorable decision in Akina v. State of Hawaii is on an emergency appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals--which, unfortunately, doesn't always seem to believe in...

A United Kingdom citizen who is a legal permanent resident of the United States alleges in a lawsuit that the Honolulu Police Department discriminates against non-U.S. citizens by making it difficult for them to obtain firearm permits. Hawaii only granted permits to U.S. citizens until a federal judge in Honolulu last year ruled that's unconstitutional. The department is trying to get around that ruling by verbally requiring those with green cards to obtain additional clearance from their countries of citizenship, according to the lawsuit filed last week in federal court in Honolulu.

Contact: Mark Shwartz mshwartz@stanford.edu 650-723-9296 Stanford University Volcanic soils yield new clues about the emergence of powerful chiefdoms in Hawaii When the first Europeans arrived in the Hawaiian Islands in 1778, they found a thriving, complex society organized into chiefdoms whose economies were based primarily on farming. On the islands of Kauai, O'ahu and Molokai, the principal crop was taro – a starchy plant grown in irrigated wetlands where the supply of water was usually abundant. But on Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii, the main staple was the sweet potato – a more labor-intensive crop planted in relatively...

In a feministic attempt to be hip, the Hillary Clinton campaign decided to do something “fun” and ask Democratic senators – all female of course – to hold up signs with their answers to questions about the Democratic presidential candidate front-runner.  It’s sort of like, remember how Michelle Obama held a sign with the #bringbackourgirls in an effort to “fight back” at the terrorist group Boko Haram that kidnapped hundreds of girls from a Nigerian school? As if that would make any difference at all.  This entire exercise is sort of like that, only much lamer. Besides, what better way...

Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed an Urgent Motion for Injunction with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to stop a race-based, state-sponsored, Hawaiians only election that violates the fundamental constitutional rights of American citizens (Keli’i Akina, et al. v. The State of Hawaii, et al. (No. 15-17134)). The motion asks that the Appeals Court enjoin the counting of ballots, now scheduled for November 30, until the resolution of a Judicial Watch appeal of an earlier district court ruling in the case (Keli’i Akina, et al. v. The State of Hawaii, et al. (No. 1:15-cv-00322))....
