Hawaii Gov. David Ige says the state would welcome refugees from Syria with aloha. Ige said in a statement Monday that Hawaii and the U.S. have a long history of welcoming refugees affected by war and oppression. Ige spokeswoman Jodi Leong says it's too early to speculate on how many may come to Hawaii as the governor hasn't been contacted by President Barack Obama or his administration. The governor says "Hawaii is the Aloha State, known for its tradition of welcoming all people with tolerance and mutual respect." Ige says safety is his first priority. He says the U.S. accepts...

It is long established law that United States residents who are not U.S. citizens enjoy the same Constitutional protections as U.S. citizens, with minor exceptions, under the equal protections clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Several recent cases have reaffirmed that precedent. Voting is specifically limited to Citizens in the Constitution. A permanent resident of Hawaii, Andrew Namiki Roberts, is suing the Honolulu Police Department for denying him the right to own a handgun for self defense. From the staradvertiser.com: Honolulu resident Andrew Namiki Roberts, who was born in England, was given a permit to acquire rifles and...

It's bad enough having a state hold an election that is racially discriminatory. Now we have a judge willing to allow it to move forward. That would be federal district court Judge J. Michael Seabright (a George W. Bush appointee, surprisingly enough). He's refused to issue an injunction to stop an election in Hawaii to set up a separate government that excludes anyone who doesn't meet the state's definition of "Native Hawaiian." Seabright's deplorable decision in Akina v. State of Hawaii is on an emergency appeal to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals--which, unfortunately, doesn't always seem to believe in...

In this very fascinating interview with U.S. House of Representatives Tulsi Gabbard, a Democrat representing Hawaii, she admits something that many conservatives have suspected for a long time. Watch below (starting at the 1:45 mark) Tulsi Gabbard is a top Democrat in the Democratic National Committee but she is one of the few honest Democrats who has actually criticized Obama on his foreign policy failures. But, it must be noted that she says he's essentially working hand in hand with Islamist extremists, but she's not saying that he's actually directly working with them. She admits that his foreign policy is...

MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Major League Baseball player Jose Reyes, the shortstop for the Colorado Rockies, was arrested on Halloween after allegedly assaulting his wife in their Maui hotel room, sources say. Reyes and his wife, Katherine, were allegedly arguing in their Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea room that afternoon. His wife told responding officers that Reyes grabbed her off the bed and shoved her. Sources say she also told police that he grabbed her throat and shoved her into the sliding glass balcony door. Security called police and Reyes was arrested for abuse of a family or household member....

Hawaii is widely known as one of the most liberal states in the Union, despite the deep Christian convictions of hundreds of thousands of hard-working voters. One-party Democrat rule has gripped state and county governments since Hawaii’s Statehood in 1959 — when a single watershed election created a power structure that still exists. Hawaii’s legislature regularly backs the most “progressive†policies of any state, imposing heavy taxes, massive bureaucracies and lavish government programs, and leading the leftward charge on social issues from same-sex marriage to abortion. There is more political pluralism in Venezuela today than there is in the State...

In a feministic attempt to be hip, the Hillary Clinton campaign decided to do something “fun†and ask Democratic senators – all female of course – to hold up signs with their answers to questions about the Democratic presidential candidate front-runner. It’s sort of like, remember how Michelle Obama held a sign with the #bringbackourgirls in an effort to “fight back†at the terrorist group Boko Haram that kidnapped hundreds of girls from a Nigerian school? As if that would make any difference at all. This entire exercise is sort of like that, only much lamer. Besides, what better way...

Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed an Urgent Motion for Injunction with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to stop a race-based, state-sponsored, Hawaiians only election that violates the fundamental constitutional rights of American citizens (Keli’i Akina, et al. v. The State of Hawaii, et al. (No. 15-17134)). The motion asks that the Appeals Court enjoin the counting of ballots, now scheduled for November 30, until the resolution of a Judicial Watch appeal of an earlier district court ruling in the case (Keli’i Akina, et al. v. The State of Hawaii, et al. (No. 1:15-cv-00322))....

Your purpose is driven by My Spirit who does the Father's Will through out the Earth but are you being found here My children ? Fasting the Earth and forsaking all for Me as I did for you, for My home was where My Father was glorified and My house was where ever I spent time spent with Him. You see without this relationship all that is left is works of the flesh where there is no fruit . Even David "knew" when to move and what to do only after his time with Me for I AM your breastplate...

Recognition would define native Hawaiians as a separate political entity - protecting many of the federal programmes currently provided to native Hawaiians, like favourable housing loans, a land trust programme, health care, educational and cultural grants. It would also allow for an element of economic independence, although one industry that has enriched a few Native American tribes - gambling - is banned in Hawai'i.

Last night as we entered into worship as one heart and one Bride, The 7 candlesticks were lit on the communion table with a Star of David illuminated by the candle light . We entered into a flowing free worship and praise and then the spirit began to speak through many of us throughout the night I am going to share the words I captured to help understand all that blossomed. . . Do you see my children I AM wooing "you" for you are more than just my sheep, you are my heart's desire and (as you come together...

One point we’ve been particularly keen on driving home since the beginning of Russian airstrikes in Syria is that The Kremlin’s move to step in on behalf of Bashar al-Assad along with Vladimir Putin’s open “invitation†to Washington with regard to joining forces in the fight against terrorism effectively let the cat out of the proverbial bag. That is, it simply wasn’t possible for the US to explain why the Pentagon refused to partner with the Russians without admitting that i) the government views Assad, Russia, and Iran as a greater threat than ISIS, and ii) Washington and its regional...

My love for you is endless as a waterfall, There is nothing that can stop it, nothing all, Soft as a rose pedal and sweet as a pea, Truly there is nothing that loves like me, For I AM the substance of this living oil, I fill the lampstands of gladness with it and it never spoils, For My love for you is pure, eternal, and true, I burn perpetually for you, A love so strong there is no weapon made, That can tear its canopy your eternal shade, A love eternally blossoming as Aaron's Rod for you, My Bride,...

If you’re thinking about ditching your 9-to-5 life in one of the Continental 48, or Alaska, in favor of the tropical paradise that is Hawaii, think again. Chances are you’ll just wind up on the street. You’ll be one of the thousands of homeless people in Hawaii, which already has the highest rate of homelessness per capita among the 50 states, with an estimated 465 homeless individuals per 100,000. They don’t need even one more. Not even you. The situation is so bad, with more than 4,900 people wandering the streets of Hawaii every day and night, that Gov. David...

Instead of opposing racial classifications and racial division, the Obama administration is doing what it does best: taking sides against American traditions of equality and unity. On Friday, a federal judge in Hawaii will rule whether a racially discriminatory election that only allows one race to participate may take place in November. The Obama administration filed a brief as a friend of the court saying that the racially discriminatory election should take place. Hawaii passed a law to empower the “native Hawaiian” movement by establishing a government-run voter registration roll that only allows “native Hawaiians” to register to vote. The...

(CNN)—Hawaii is a place many go to kick back, relax and enjoy the good life. But for others, it's a land of struggle. That's why its governor on Friday signed an emergency proclamation to tackle homelessness in the state, saying the measure will help turn around the lives of young and old. "Homelessness remains a serious issue in every county throughout the state," Gov. David Ige said in a press release.Hawaii has an estimated 7,620 homeless people, said the governor's spokeswoman Cindy McMillan, citing a 2015 statewide count. This may not seem like much compared with other places -- to...
