[From April 24, 2015] Hawaii: Home of the RINO

Hawaii is widely known as one of the most liberal states in the Union, despite the deep Christian convictions of hundreds of thousands of hard-working voters. One-party Democrat rule has gripped state and county governments since Hawaii’s Statehood in 1959 — when a single watershed election created a power structure that still exists. Hawaii’s legislature regularly backs the most “progressive” policies of any state, imposing heavy taxes, massive bureaucracies and lavish government programs, and leading the leftward charge on social issues from same-sex marriage to abortion. There is more political pluralism in Venezuela today than there is in the State of Hawaii.

How has the “Left” managed this comprehensive control? Much of the blame belongs to the Hawaii Republican Party (HRP), which has consistently failed to resist or oppose big government and radical policies (especially in the last ten years) — serving as a token opposition whose primary role seems to be plucking out and propping up a few party “favorites” from their incestuous pool, and funneling money to political consultants and operatives whose views are openly liberal. You might call Hawaii the largest RINO reserve on earth.

It won’t change until the democratically established permanent poor take a look around and realize who wants them to stay poor.

What hope, that the Native Hawaiian vote scheduled for the end of the month will return the state to an independent kingdom and a US protectorate?
I want to see them without representatives or senators.

Duke Aiona was the only serious GOP candidate and he lost twice.

With the passage of time, the liberal GOPer Hiram Fong looks like a real right-winger.

Some people just can’t be warned. Their liberalism comes first.

Yep. Sadly, that includes 70% of America’s Jews who love their liberalism more than their fellow Jews living in Israel. They have been involved in more mischief than just electing obozo. They have set in motion events which will, if not soon halted, have then under the islam headsman’s simitar — RIGHT HERE IN THE GOOD OLD FORMER USofA!

When Hawaii and Alaska came into the union, some believed that Alaska would be the Democrat state and Hawaii the Republican one, since Hawaii at least had a Republican senator and Alaska sent only Democrats to Congress the first time.

Also, before the Japanese got involved in politics in a big way, Hawaii's politics were dominated by old school Yankee Republicans. A lot has changed since then.

I favor Hawaiian independence (keep the bases). Aside from a short period, they’ve sent an all-Communist delegation to DC for 56 years. Let them drown in their own leftist stew without having disproportionate impact on our politics (especially in the Senate).

Hawaii as a state was for the democrats and labor/longshoreman of the ilk’s of Bridges and his commies to counter the addition of a Republican state to the Union. Hawaii was never a gung-ho US state and they only wanted the commerce and money. Even today Hawaii is only US for the money.
