Personal data on 198 million voters, including analytics data that suggests who a person is likely to vote for and why, was stored on an unsecured Amazon server. A huge trove of voter data, including personal information and voter profiling data on what's thought to be every registered US voter dating back more than a decade, has been found on an exposed and unsecured server, ZDNet has learned. ... The exposed records include files provided by Data Trust, a data warehouse created by the GOP to serve as its exclusive data provider of voter records. ...

From the moment that Sharyl Attkisson met a shadowy source I’ll call Big Mac, she was plunged into a nightmare involving mysterious surveillance of her computers. They met at a McDonald’s in Northern Virginia at the beginning of 2013, and the source (she dubs him Number One) warned her about the threat of government spying. During their next hamburger rendezvous, Big Mac told Attkisson, then a CBS News reporter constantly at odds with the Obama administration, that he was “shocked” and “flabbergasted” by his examination of her computer and that this was “worse than anything Nixon ever did.” Attkisson’s forthcoming...

SALEM, Mass. - Salem State University’s Twitter account was hacked late Friday night. The tweets started around 10:30 p.m. The hacker sent out racist tweets, and also applauded President Donald Trump. It lasted for about two hours before the university was able to regain control of the account and delete the tweets. The hack comes just hours before the school’s undergraduate commencement.| Boston 25 News reached out to school officials for comment. Salem State’s Facebook page says none of the tweets represent the university’s views. The school also apologized on Twitter. The university says it is looking into the hack...

President Donald Trump tweeted his congratulations Sunday afternoon to Emmanuel Macron, the newly-elected president of France. "Congratulations to Emmanuel Macron on his big win today as the next President of France. I look very much forward to working with him!" Trump tweeted. Macron, a former investment banker, defeated far-right nationalist Marine Le Pen in France's elections on Sunday by around 65 percent to 35 percent at the time polls closed. Macron, a centrist, will bring a business-friendly vision for France to replace current President Francois Hollande's unpopular Socialist government.

Anonymous sources within the FBI have revealed to The Times that they have new evidence indicating that everyone who voted for Donald Trump is an agent of the FSB (formerly the KGB). An unknown portion of these voters may have had their minds controlled by a Russian space-beam, agents close to the investigation say. The allegation that 62 million Americans appear to be employed by Russian intelligence services has rocked the Bureau, and it is reported that multiple agents have taken their own lives, given that realizing just how deep this Russian hacking conspiracy runs blew their minds – literally....

The Obama administration is accusing Russia of hacking US political organizations...the final days of the campaign are dominated by talk of whether the race is "rigged." ...cyber experts say it's virtually impossible for Moscow ...to influence the election outcome.... ...The key concern...is public perception... ...The American election system is decentralized by design...Even though many precincts use voting machines, none are connected to the Internet, nor are they connected to each other. ....in Illinois, where hackers successfully stole roughly 90,000 voters' information...no data was changed in the system itself... ....voters who don't show up as registered properly can cast a provisional...

Major U.S. and international banks cheat their customers and rig markets. Revelations have been piling up since the 2008 financial crisis. Hundreds of billions have been paid in fines, penalties, and settlements. The fraud, price manipulation, lying, and theft – once considered conspiracy theories – are now incontrovertible conspiracy facts. This reality is dawning now in the precious metals industry. GATA, the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee, labored for years making the case for price manipulation in the markets. They, and others, made a powerful argument complete with price charts and trading patterns that simply could not be explained in free...

A Clinton campaign aide says that a typo in a March 19 email sent to John Podesta is to blame for opening the campaign chairman’s Gmail account up to Russian cyber hackers. The IT aide, Charles Delavan, tells The New York Times that his error — typing the word “legitimate” instead of “illegitimate” to describe a hacker’s email — continues to haunt him. “This is a legitimate email,” Delavan wrote to Clinton campaign aide Sara Latham after she forwarded him an spear phishing email designed to look like official correspondence from Google. “John needs to change his password immediately,” Delavan...

The Russians didn’t hack into Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server, as others have reported, according to a very reliable source of mine who has connections with US intelligence agencies. They didn’t have to. Clinton was so careless when using her BlackBerry that the Russians stole her password. All Russian President Vladimir Putin’s gang had to do was log into Clinton’s account and read whatever they wanted. They had to be laughing their butts off. So you can add the Russians to the list of people who know bad and personal things about Clinton that the Democrats will wish remain hidden....

The hacker who calls himself Guccifer 2.0 has leaked emails from The Democratic National Committee for the second time this summer. His first effort unveiled the DNC's clear bias for Hillary Clinton and the eventual resignation of Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The newest hack includes information into the DNC's finances, proving the committee is guilty of more pay-to-play schemes that awarded influential donors. One email in particular reveals that DNC officials had discovered their email system had been compromised. Yet, instead of taking cautionary steps to prevent future hacks, they sent out new passwords to the team - via email.

After first discovering and acknowledging that a website run by the Democratic National Committee was hacked in April, the same DNC press secretary sent out the password to the DNC’s system on the Committee’s possibly compromised email server not once but twice.

The Democratic National Committee was apparently using incredibly weak passwords for some of its accounts, according to internal emails recently published online. An email thread from May 2016 reveals that an account for the party's press email, dncpress@dnc.org, apparently had passwords such as "Obama-Biden-2012" and "obamain08" at some point in time.

For all Muni Metro passengers knew, the free rides they were getting Friday night and Saturday were a holiday gift from the transit system. Little did they know Muni was under attack from a hacker trying to squeeze $73,000 in ransom to unlock the agency’s computer systems. Muni refused to pay up. Instead, officials shut down the system’s ticket machines, threw open the fare gates as a precautionary move, and contacted the Department of Homeland Security and their own technology division to contain the attack, they said. ... The anonymous hacker used a ransomware attack — malicious software sent via...

As you may know, Scott Adams, creator of the Dilbert cartoon strip, is a Trump fan and writes a blog on the Dilbert site that has predicted Trump's win for months. Tonight the blog (not the main Dilbert page, just the blog section) has been hacked, perhaps by anti-Trumpers, and at least on my iPad, is hijacked to a clearly fake page offering a "Free Apple App". It is inescapable. I don't know how it acts on other non-iOS platforms, haven't had a chance to try it yet.

MI6 spy Gareth Williams hacked into restricted information about former US President Bill Clinton, it has been claimed. The 31-year-old codebreaker was discovered inside a padlocked bag in a bathtub at his London home in 2010, sparking a real-life mystery worthy of any 007 thriller.

Fox News’ Bret Baier dropped a bomb last night after confirming details of multiple FBI investigations into the various dealings of the Clinton Foundation as well as Hillary Clinton’s use of an unauthorized, non-secure, private email server for her official, government work as Secretary of State. On Special Report, Baier reported that two separate sources “with intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations” had revealed details of the multiple investigations and the thumbnail of those revelations are pretty huge: ◾Sources confirm that emails were discovered on Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin’s laptop that are believed to have originated from Hillary’s home-brew...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Let's go through the polling data that I mentioned. This is... Well, it's all interesting, and there are... It depends on how you look at these things, folks. I mean, I'm spotting trends. Other people are, too. Some people don't. It just... It's really hard to separate your desire, your prejudicial desire from static analysis of what's actually happening. But I can just tell you that where we are right now is not where anybody of expert status anywhere thought we would be. But it is where a lot of people thought we would be. A lot...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- New evidence appears to show how hackers earlier this year stole more than 50,000 emails of Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman, an audacious electronic attack blamed on Russia's government and one that has resulted in embarrassing political disclosures about Democrats in the final weeks before the U.S. presidential election. The hackers sent John Podesta an official-looking email on Saturday, March 19, that appeared to come from Google. It warned that someone in Ukraine had obtained Podesta's personal Gmail password and tried unsuccessfully to log in, and it directed him to a website where he should "change your password...
