William Johnson, Executive Director of the National Association of Police Organizations believes that Obama has fostered a negative attitude toward police “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”—Rahm Emanuel, former Obama Administration Chief of Staff It did not take long for President Obama to use the tragic police ambush in Dallas, TX to push his gun control agenda. In fact, in his first statement on the shocking murder of 5 police officers, Obama introduced the issue. After condemning the “senseless murders” of the police officers, the President said, “We also know when people are armed with powerful weapons;...
  • Should Black Lives Matter Drive the Gun Control Debate

Just a question: Should the police killings by people inspired by (or belonging to) Black Lives Matter be used as a justification to deprive law-abiding Americans of their gun rights, as Republicans now appear to be supporting? Or should we conservatives instead tell everyone to take a deep breath and first have the administration show that they're willing to deal with Black Lives Matter as a terrorist group, as they should have been dealt with practically from the start? After that, then we can discuss what, if any steps, need to be taken to cut down on mass killings.

The Executive Director of the Minnesota Police & Peace Officers Association released a strongly worded statement Friday regarding the recent officer-involved shootings. "First of all, and most importantly, our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the recent tragic events in Falcon Heights, Dallas and Baton Rouge. The families and friends, the faith communities that provide much needed support to those affected – they all need our prayers and support. The nation needs consoling at this time. Governor Dayton’s extraordinarily presumptive conclusion that the tragic incident in Falcon Heights was motivated by race is the height of...

The authors of the Australian gun control study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association are gun control advocates.  From medpagetoday.com: The authors of the JAMA study had obvious conflicts, Wheeler said, with one being a member of the Coalition for Gun Control (Australia) and "Second author Philip Alpers is the founding director of the gun ban organization GunPolicy.org and is a delegate to the U.N.'s project to ban private gun ownership worldwide, the so-called Programme of Action. • Antique SKS rifle used by Dallas Killer (No Ar-15 used)

Initial reports from Dallas described multiple snipers with AR-15s #weaponsofwar. The ongoing propaganda theme among the tabloids is that the AR-15 has become the weapon of choice for terrorists and mass shooters. It turns out that the terrorist in Dallas question used an antique, the SKS, (according to CBS News) but the facts never keep the press from a good propaganda theme. The SKS was designed in the 40’s in Russia. It is such a basic rifle that it is legal in California with no modification. With its fixed ten round magazine, the SKS is everything that the gun haters...

The Congressional Black Caucus is calling for an immediate vote on a gun control bill following a wave of violence this week that left two black civilians and five police officers dead in three separate incidents. “Republicans, what on earth — why are you recoiling and not giving us a debate on gun violence?” CBC Chairman G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.) said at a Friday morning press conference in the Capitol. “We need legislative action now.”

Democrat Rep. G.K. Butterfield blamed Republicans for the five officers who were massacred by a racially motivated gunman in Dallas Thursday night. “The Republicans in Congress are refusing to address gun violence in America that targets black men and black women and Hispanic men and Hispanic women and, yes, even police officers,” Butterfield said while flanked by other members of the Congressional Black Caucus — just hours after five officers were shot and killed while trying to protect protestors who were rallying against police brutality....

Authorities: Tennessee highway gunman motivated by police shootings A man accused of shooting indiscriminately at passing cars and police on a Tennessee highway told investigators he was angry about police violence against African-Americans, authorities said Friday. One woman died and three others, including one police officer, were injured in the rampage. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release that initial conversations with the suspect, 37-year-old Lakeem Keon Scott, revealed he was troubled by several incidents across the U.S. Scott, who is black, was wounded in the shootout with police, remains hospitalized and has not yet been charged....

If you dont read anything else today, go read this. Yet, notice the pertinent language of the Second Amendment: “The right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” In stark contrast to the Fourth Amendment, the Second Amendment does not say gun rights “shall not be unreasonably infringed.” Reasonableness has nothing to do with the matter, nor does crisis management. How could they? The Second Amendment aims to maintain the people’s power of self-defense, including against the government. Since that is the point of the right, nothing could be more unreasonable than to allow its...

In Texas, 1 million people have handgun permits Sheena McKenzie At a protest against police violence in Dallas, a young man wanders the streets with a gun casually slung over his shoulder. The hefty weapon hangs all the way from his hip to his ankle, apparently barely raising the eyebrows of passersby. A few hours after the Dallas shooting, local police posted a photo of the man on Twitter, saying: "This is one of our suspects. Please help us find him!" Videos later emerged online purportedly showing the man peacefully walking in the crowd during the shooting. The original tweet...

A cloud hangs over America: do you see protection or control?Yes Barry, you’re right; this is “an American issue.” And it’s not just a gun issue it’s a racial issue. To be clear: if a black man is killed in America, it’s a racial issue. If anyone else gets killed in America it’s a gun issue. And while it’s hard to precisely pinpoint when this became absolute truth I think we can all agree that it started in 2009, when the President of the United States - in the absence of any facts - declared that the arrest of his friend,...
  • Rapper: Answer to bloodbath on Philly's streets – more guns (a rapper who gets it)

In a city awash in violence, where a homicide or two is reported every few days, Maj Toure believes more guns – in the hands of the right people – could help stem the bloodshed. “The good guys -- the people that want to be more informed, more responsible, that want to be card-carrying good guys and girls -- those are the people that we’re talking to,” said Toure, a North Philly native and rapper. It's a similar message to the one espoused by the powerful lobbyist the National Rifle Association, which responded to calls for stricter gun control laws...

On the heels of the San Bernardino massacre, where terrorists entered a gun-free zone to slaughter their unarmed victims, California Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown signed legislation making it more difficult for law-abiding Americans to defend themselves. In the liberal mind, that doesn’t matter. It’s “gun violence”, not gang violence or terrorist violence. So let’s pass laws that would not have prevented San Bernardino: The Democratic governor signed six bills Friday requiring gun owners to give up magazines holding more than 10 rounds and to undergo a background check before they can purchase ammunition, among other measures… Read more: http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/07/california_bites_the_bullet_with_background_checks.html#ixzz4Dk9BAJbu Follow...

I love machine guns. They don’t call the selectors on automatic firearms “fun switches” for nothing, and I have yet to hand off a machine gun to someone and have it not bring a smile to their face (it brings me joy exposing people to full auto for the first time). For the sake of this article, the word “machine gun” will meet the ATF’s definition: Any weapon which shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be readily restored to shoot, automatically more than one shot without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.

(Editors’ note: This column was co-authored by Eve Stieglitz) In the aftermath of the second and third worst Islamic terrorist attacks upon America since 9-11, the socialist left, enabled by the mainstream media, has manufactured a false narrative of individual gun control being the issue. They went so far as to completely embarrass themselves with a petulant “sit-in” on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives chamber. However, there is a real issue of gun and weapons control in the Obama administration that the progressive left does not want to mention, certainly not address. Therefore, we shall. During the...
