The NFL is being urged to fire the crew who officiated the NFC Championship game between the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints over a blown call in the fourth quarter of the matchup. A petition launched after the Rams defeated the Saints in overtime, 26-23, has asked the league to fire official Bill Vinovich and the rest of the officials who were in charge Sunday afternoon. The officials came under fire after missing a clear pass interference penalty late in the fourth quarter.

Social media has erupted at a video of Bill Clinton watching Ariana Grande perform at Aretha Franklin’s funeral. Video footage of Miss Grande performing the hit (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman had social media paying more attention to Mr Clinton’s gaze, rather than Miss Grande’s vocals. Social media users criticised the former president as “gross” after his eyes appeared to wander onto Miss Grande's derriere.

A conservative activist group tried to target Washington Post reporters, planting a source with a false allegation against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore. But instead of publishing the story of “Jaime Phillips,” who claimed Moore impregnated her at 15 and helped her get an abortion, the Post exposed the plot and foiled the operation to dupe its journalists. After the Post first published allegations on November 9 that Moore pursued relationships with teenagers and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old, the newspaper has been dogged by easily disprovable allegations that sources were biased, paid, or both. The conservative group Project Veritas and...

Concern is growing in a conservative, remote corner of Oregon as people start arriving in a national forest for a Rainbow Family of Living Light annual gathering, a counter-culture get-together expected to draw thousands. Officials with the Malheur National Forest said this week that around 600 Rainbow Family members are already camped at a gathering site near Flagtail Meadow and that between 10,000 and 30,000 are likely arriving by July 4, when the multi-day event peaks with a prayer for world peace. People with small children, those with disabilities and senior citizens were among those who wrote to the event's...

Throughout the election cycle, many liberal pundits accused president-elect Donald Trump of acting like “literally Hitler” over his policy proposals. Now one social justice activist is comparing Trump to Hitler--because of a gesture of good faith. Following the “60 Minutes” interview in which Trump said he would not accept the president’s salary, Parker Molloy, a transgender writer at Upworthy, tweeted this means Trump is taking a page “literally out of Hitler’s playbook”:
  • What a Trump Nomination Means for Conservatives

For years, conservatives have told themselves the pretty bedtime story that they represent a silent majority in America -- that most Americans want smaller government, individual rights and personal responsibility. We've suggested that if only we nominated precisely the right guy who says the right words -- some illegally grown Ronald Reagan clone, perhaps -- we'd win. Donald Trump's impending nomination puts all of that to bed. There can be no doubt: The Republican Party has successful killed the legacy of Ronald Reagan. By consistently moving to the left in every presidential election, by granting the left its general premise...

"Try not to hurt 'em. If you do, I'll defend you in court. Don't worry about it." [Cheers]. This past Sunday when Trump was confronted with similar questions on Meet the Press, he suggested he was seriously considering covering the legal bills for a man who punched an African-American protester in the face at a rally over the weekend.  The assailant later said that perhaps next time, he'd kill the protester.  “I'm going to take a look at it,” Trump told host Chuck Todd.  “I've actually instructed my people to look into it, yes.”  Forty-eight hours later with Stephanopoulos, Trump made the following two...

Libfascist, pantsuited, pervert-enabling harpy. And then he proceeds to be a marginally less terrible president than she would have been.

Let me make three unequivocal statements about the wave of protests and violence at recent Donald Trump events.First, anyone attempting to attack Trump supporters, let alone trying to attack Trump directly, is completely wrong and without any justification.Second, the protesters that shut down the Friday night Trump rally in Chicago were not just anti-Trump. It appears that many of them were ultra-liberal and would be no friends of the conservative movement as a whole.Third, Trump bears some responsibility for these outbreaks because of his inflammatory and irresponsible rhetoric. As Senator Marco Rubio stated, words have consequences, and you cannot run for...

Bad news for both parties in the primaries and caucuses in the seven days in March following Super Tuesday. Start with the higher-ratings, higher-turnout Republican race. Donald Trump won two solid victories in Michigan and Mississippi Tuesday, after weak showings in the five contests over the weekend. From March 2 to March 8 he netted 124 delegates, to 125 for Ted Cruz, 41 for Marco Rubio and 27 for John Kasich. That's not helpful, since it's imperative for Trump to win the 1,237-delegate majority in primaries and caucuses. If he falls visibly short of that after the last primaries June...

-snip- Another person who unequivocally does not support Trump and his endorses is Meghan McCain. Naturally, she has come out as a supporter of Cruz only a few hours after Fiorina’s announcement. On Your World with Neil Cavuto, McCain responded to the host’s question about the possible impact of Neil Bush‘s recent support of Cruz by saying that she found it much less important than Fiorina’s. “I was a huge, huge Carly Fiorina fan and supporer,” she said, insisting that “she has the capacity to get a lot of young, conservative women taking a second look at Ted Cruz.” Then,...

It all began with 17 contestants. Almost all of them celebrities in the world of politics. Only one had no chance to win -- according to the experts. He was thought of as a clown, politically incorrect, offensive, and had zero political experience at any level. Ninety-nine percent of the experts predicted he’d never even file his financials with the FEC. Surprise. Meet the winner of "Celebrity Apprentice Special Political Edition": Donald J. Trump. As of Tuesday night Trump added Mississippi, Michigan and Hawaii to his trophy case. It wasn’t even close. Trump dominated. And he’s leading by a mile...

In his first inaugural address in 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt told the nation, “the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself.” Roosevelt meant that fear’s real danger is not the “nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror” that it represents, but the effect that is has on us; particularly the actions we take in response to it. Here, at least, conservatives could learn something from FDR; and, conversely, from Donald Trump. The philosophy of limited government at the core of the modern conservative movement has faced many threats; the most acute of which is not a particular person or political party, but...

What a short, strange trip it's been for Donald Trump's conservative supporters. Ever since the Goldwaterite takeover of the GOP, the party has tried to convert voters to conservatism. This orientation has sometimes led it to follow a "better to be right and lose" axiom -- hence Goldwater's disastrous defeat in 1964. Now we seem to have tipped in the other direction, thinking it's "better to be wrong and win." George W. Bush's "compassionate conservatism" was seen as a nod in this direction, and a great many conservatives -- myself included -- were critical of his efforts to triangulate against...

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) called GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s charge that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was a primary supporter of Chief Justice John Roberts “ludicrous” and “ridiculous.” Gohmert argued that Trump should not be questioning Cruz’s judgment on Supreme Court nominations since he has donated to Democratic politicians in the past. “I thought one of the best points made all night long was to point out the hypocrisy,” Gohmert, who has endorsed Cruz, told PJM at the Conservative Political Action Conference. During the most recent GOP debate in Detroit, Trump addressed Cruz directly, saying, “So we’re listening to the all-talk,...

A fierce debate has broken out among Donald Trump’s family, friends and campaign advisers over how to respond to the Republican establishment’s last-ditch effort to deny him the presidential nomination. Trump’s confidants are split over how to handle the sudden onslaught, with some saying he should become more presidential. But according to a high-ranking member of Trump’s inner circle, Trump is ignoring this advice and listening to his own inner Donald. The debate broke out after Mitt Romney viciously attacked Trump as a “phony” and “fraud” during a speech Romney delivered at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City...
