2020 wasn't the greatest year in film, but it turned out to be a Godsend in light of the leftist propagandizing films nominated for The Golden Globes this year.Last year, comedian Ricky Gervais was unafraid to mock the Hollywood elites at the 77th annual Golden Globes. From celebrities’ cushy relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein, to James Corden’s emasculating role in “Cats,” to Apple, Amazon, and Disney’s reliance on Communist China, Gervais absolutely nailed it.“You say you’re woke…but if ISIS started a streaming service, you’d call your agent.” @rickygervais with a flamethrower for Hollywood tonight at the Golden Globes. Hollywood actor Jane Fonda is set to be honored with the Golden Globes’ version of a lifetime achievement award this year. She’ll be given the Cecil B. deMille Award in part for her “unrelenting activism.”

Comedian Ricky Gervais openly mocked celebrities after a group of them released an anti-racism PSA that makes current issues in America all about them. The PSA (seen below) will actually make you feel physically uncomfortable watching it as Hollywood’s best and brightest put their white guilt on display for the world to see. The two-minute video features celebrities vowing to “take responsibility” for a host of things they feel have contributed to racism in America. “Every not-so-funny joke, every unfair stereotype,” actor Justin Theroux laments. Racially charged jokes are going to be eliminated. There goes the career of Chris Rock....

he media are doing everything in their power to divert the spotlight from Ricky Gervais’ opening monologue at last week’s Golden Globes. Michelle Williams is clearly Hollywood’s chosen beneficiary. Her emotional “on-the-verge-of-tears” speech advocating a woman’s “right to choose” is garnering much acclaim from women’s groups, after she claimed that her personal “choice” enabled her to have the kind of career success that brought her the award. Williams’s speech addressed women directly from the stage, warning that they needed to similarly act in their own “self-interest.” She vaguely alluded to November’s election, with the oft-heard clarion call that Roe v....

PASADENA, Calif. — Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will share host duties for the Golden Globes ceremony in 2021. Poehler herself shared the announcement at a TV critics meeting Saturday, just a week after the ceremony aired with Ricky Gervais as host. “There are no two funnier people anywhere,” said Poehler, who introduced herself with the name of an NBC publicist who was to have opened the network’s daylong presentation about its programming. A tongue-in-cheek Poehler said the network was glad the pair found time in their busy schedules to take on the Globes. They have hosted three times before....

January 7, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – After Michelle Williams used her award acceptance speech to promote abortion at the Golden Globes on Sunday, a Catholic model in labor took the time to record an Instagram video challenging Williams’ statement that abortion was integral to her success as an actress. “I’m here getting ready to deliver my fifth baby,” said Leah Darrow, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model, from her hospital bed. “And I want to let all you women know, all you young ladies who haven’t had babies or are maybe listening to what the culture says about birth,...

Hollywood might want to start listening to Ricky Gervais – it seems like a lot of Americans are. The British comedian made himself an enemy of the movie moguls but endeared himself to millions of Americans Sunday night when he used his platform hosting the Golden Globes to lecture the glitterati in front of him on what viewers didn’t want to hear from them. “If you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech,” Gervais said on the ceremony aired by NBC. “You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything....

The bleakly beautiful and intensely nerve-rattling “1917” (opening Friday) ostensibly is a war film set amid the brutal realities of trench warfare between England and Germany on the fields of rural France in World War I. And it is that, so much so that you can almost feel the mud and viscera ooze between your fingers when a soldier, who has landed in a pool of muck, mistakes a fallen fighter’s corpse for something sturdy and his hand plunges deep into a body cavity. But “1917,” the latest film from director Sam Mendes (who made the James Bond films “Skyfall”...

Over two years after the first exposés on Harvey Weinstein and allegations of rampant sexual harassment and assaults were first published, the Oscar-winning producer’s criminal trial is set to begin today in New York City, kind of. If found guilty of the five felony charges that he faces based on allegations from two women and indictments from a grand jury convened by District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., the 67-year-old Weinstein could face life in prison in what is the first major trial of the #MeToo era.

In case anyone missed this when it aired live — and why would anyone watch the Golden Globes? — spend 450 seconds on its opening monologue from Ricky Gervais. “Let’s have a laugh at your expense,” Gervais said, and then delivered in “savage” manner, as Caleb Hull says. Gervais kicks it off with a Felicity Huffman joke, but then cuts a lot closer to the bone when it comes to Hollywood political hypocrisy. But even before that — which comes at the very end — Gervais spent nearly seven minutes declaring American cinema dead. “No one goes to the theater...

After delivering a scorching opening monologue at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Ricky Gervais rounded out the ceremony by laying into the room of Hollywood insiders for their complicity in the Harvey Weinstein scandal. Bringing Sandra Bullock on stage to announce the final award, Gervais said, “Our next presenter starred in Netflix’s ‘Bird Box,’ a movie where people survive by acting like they don’t see a thing. Sort of like working for Harvey Weinstein.” After the crowd erupted in boos, Gervais replied, “You did it! I didn’t, you did it!”

After host Ricky Gervais admonished the Golden Globes winners Sunday night not to bring up politics in their acceptance speeches because they "know nothing about the real world," actress Michelle Williams did just that with a two minute long screed supporting abortion while accepting the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for TV. Williams, who, ironically, is pregnant, started out talking about choices in acting before transitioning to bodily choice, then seemingly admitted to her own abortion when she said she "wouldn't have been able to do this without employing a woman's right to...

Joaquin Phoenix has now won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama thanks to his critically acclaimed performance in Todd Phillips’ revisionist comic book movie “Joker.” Believe it or not, the Golden Globe victory is Phoenix’s first major Best Actor win of the 2019-20 awards season outside of smaller critics’ groups. The majority of precursor Best Actor prizes this season have been awarded to Adam Driver of “Marriage Story” or Adam Sandler of “Uncut Gems.” Phoenix was nominated for the Golden Globe awards opposite Driver in “Marriage Story,” Christian Bale in “Ford v. Ferrari,” Jonathan Pryce...

Ricky Gervais is firing back at critics that called him out for "transphobic" jokes made on Twitter. The comedian began taking heat online after leaving a comment on a parody story written after author J.K. Rowling offered public support to a researcher claiming biological sex cannot be changed. Gervais commented, saying: "Those awful biological women can never understand what it must be like for you becoming a lovely lady so late in life. They take their girly privileges for granted. Winning at female sports and having their own toilets. Well, enough is enough."

British actor-comedian Ricky Gervais has been branded “transphobic” by LGBT activists after he defended the right of women not to wax the testicles of a transgender person who identifies as a woman. The debate started after Gervais weighed in on a recent controversy in Canada, where an immigrant woman who ran a Brazilian waxing business was forced to shut down after being sued for refusing to wax a transgender woman’s genitalia. Another fifteen other female business owners have also been taken to court by the same trans individual, who argues that their refusal amounts to gender discrimination.

Comedian and atheist Ricky Gervais recently squared off with comedian and Roman Catholic Stephen Colbert over religion during a recent taping of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." The exchange was brief and mostly unproductive in terms of articulating anything of value, but it did provide some insight into one of atheism's blind spots—teleology (the purpose of things). I encourage you to watch the video. Not long into the discussion, Colbert presents Gervais with the philosophical question, "Why is there something instead of nothing?" Gervais immediately dismisses the question as making "no sense at all." Ricky Gervais then proceeds to change the question...

The Twitterverse has some questions about a resurfaced video in which Louis C.K. and Chris Rock casually drop the N-word. A scene from HBO’s 2011 unscripted comedy talk show “Talking Funny” has recently caught the attention of people online. The clip in question features C.K. and Rock having a conversation with fellow comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Ricky Gervais. Rock told Seinfeld and Gervais how C.K. is “the blackest white guy I know.” C.K. responded by asking Rock, “you’re saying I’m a n****r?” “Yes,” Rock replied. “You are the n****r-est white man I have ever [met].” Gervais was thoroughly amused by...

Actors and actresses in anti-gun Hollywood will be surrounded by armed security on Sunday as they attend the 77th annual Golden Globes. New York Daily News reports Beverly Hill Police Department Capt. Michael Hill saying, “We have a robust security plan that includes assistance from our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. Additionally, we will be using the most contemporary technologies in an attempt to ensure the ceremony is held without incident.” Variety quotes Beverly Hills Police Lt. Robert Maycott noting that the US strike against Iran has not altered the security plan. Rather, he noted that “security is...
