In Romans 8:18-25, Paul writes that all creation is groaning for a glory that will be revealed. He urges people to put their hope in what is not yet seen because hope in things seen is not true hope. When Paul writes about the glory that is to be revealed, he is writing about the apocalypse, which means a revelation. The things unseen will become seen. Every day moves us closer to that revealing. <p>I cannot express how truly sad writing this op-ed has made me. But I'm a patriotic American. And I'm an American Jew. I have studied the beginnings of Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. And I can clearly see parallels with what is happening in America today. Thank God we have President Trump (at the moment) keeping us from heading too far down this tragic path. But I must warn my fellow Americans that we are clearly headed in a frightening and tragic direction.</p>

A friend who works for a conservative website shared an email with me that was sent to the staff, “We have to be careful” about how they write about Black Lives Matter, it said. Not because what they were reporting was inaccurate, but because it could upset the mob, and upsetting the mob nowadays is worse than being inaccurate. “Truth” can be whatever you want it to be, the mob, on the other hand, can seemingly make reality anything they want it to be by force of will or worse.  It’s not even Black Lives Matter, really, at least not...
