In the future, robots will increasingly replace farm workers, using artificial intelligence to plant, grow and harvest our food. In fact, many farms are already using fleets of robots, which can tend to fruits and veggies more efficiently than a human can. Here's a look at seven machines that are currently aiding farmers around the world. 1) The Wall-Ye prunes vineyards 2) The BoniRob destroys 120 weeds per minute 3) Abundant Robotics' bot picks one ripe apple per second 4) The Blue River Lettuce Bot thins out lettuce fields 5) The Prospera bot 'sees' dying plants before farmers can 6)...

Police have charged a Pennsylvania man with animal cruelty after he allegedly beat a horse after the animal collapsed Tuesday while pulling a heavy load on a rural road in Lancaster County. Marvin M. Sensenig, 20, of Ephrata, Pa., was arrested Friday and faces two counts of cruelty to animals, Ephrata police announced in a statement. “It is alleged that the defendant unreasonably struck a horse that was overburdened with a heavy load,” the statement says. “The horse expired shortly thereafter.”

Crowns made for the electro-jazz band Dagadana. (Photo: Third Roosters/Треті Півні)Back before the traditions of Eastern Europe were changed by war and Communism, as a young girl grew up in Ukraine, she would be allowed to decorate her hair, simply at first, with flowers, ribbons, and tendrils of green. In the summer, the flowers would be fresh; in the winter, they might be made of paper or cloth. Once the girl wanted to announce that she was ready for courtship, she would put on a much more elaborate headdress of flowers. When she found a man to marry, her friends...

The Muslim men reportedly stormed the pool shouting 'Allahu Akbar' threatening to "eradicate" women for insulting them with their bare bodies. The incident occurred at the naturist arer of the Strandbad Xantener Südsee in Geldern in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia on Wednesday last week - two days after an Afghan refugee attacked five people on a train in Bavaria and four days before an Isis supporter blew himself up at a wine bar in the small town of Ansbach. The incident was the latest in a series of assaults at swimming areas across the country where sexually repressed young...

The fly bait companies opposed that solution, however, and instead reached a compromise with EPA in April 2015. By early 2017, the agreement calls for the companies to stop distributing methomyl fly baits to general retailers such as hardware stores, and to stop making small containers. Farm supply stores will still be able to sell larger 4.5- and 18-kilogram containers, which will come with new warning labels and explanatory pamphlets. The companies and EPA plan to monitor reports of misuse through 2020, and further restrict use to licensed applicators if incidents aren’t “significantly reduced.” The maker of one of the...

I am tired of having to waste time positioning a sprinkler, turning off the water and moving the sprinkler a little to the left, a little to the right, etc. so that it hits all parts of the garden but does not spray the front of the building. So, I am going to the soaker hose solution. I'll just turn on the water and voila! Garden gets watered. I just acquired a 100' soaker hose kit to water my garden. It has 20 little T-s, male parts, female parts, and who knows, maybe some transgender parts, too. Haven't looked over...

It's official! Sources from inside the Queen Hillary camp leaked today! After they were done relieving themselves, they also let a secret slip out. But then, isn't Queen Hillary known for letting secrets slip out? Queen Hillary has selected Joy Behar to be our King! Queen Hillary said, "I wanted a man who is a loud-mouthed idiot with a moustache and that narrowed it down to Joy Behar though I did look at Ruth Ginsburg, too." Queen Hillary also announced drug king Joaquin Guzman as her selection for Attorney General. "He understands my way of doing business", the Queen said....

If Comey had recommended prosecution, they may have gone ahead and had a trial and cleared her, thereby making it impossible she could ever be tried again due to double jeopardy. As it is now, the next administration could come along and prosecute, as the statute of limitations would not have run out.

Clemson University scientist Brian Ward and his team harvested about 145 pounds of Purple Straw seed, which was grown from less than half a pound. Credit: Scott Miller / Clemson University ================================================================================================= The first step of an ongoing-process designed to bring a valuable heirloom wheat back from the brink of extinction has been completed with flying colors. Last month, Clemson University scientist Brian Ward and his team harvested about 145 pounds of Purple Straw seed, which was grown from less than half a pound. I've started a vineyard, 7 vines in 42 feet of space. All seedless and I'm in NC. I'm trying to decide what wire and post configuration to use. So far I have 3 eight feet posts that are 2 feet deep. Should I go with T on top of each or just 2 wires at 5.5 feet ant a second wire about 18 inches beneath it. Suggestions?
