MADISON — Four Republican state senators targeted for recall are expected to submit their challenges to the signatures that could result in voiding any elections. Today is the deadline for the senators to make any challenges to petitions filed with the Government Accountability Board. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has said he plans on challenging enough to stop the recall election against him. The other three senators haven't said how many signatures they will challenge. Those targeted senators are Van Wanggaard of Racine, Terry Moulton of Chippewa Falls and Pam Galloway of Wausau. Once submitted, it's then up to the...

Being the number two chief of an ultra-minority party is no fun. So it is no surprise that state Rep. Donna Seidel, D-Wausau, the assistant Assembly Democratic leader, declared herself a candidate in the likely recall election against state Sen. Pam Galloway, R-Wausau. Galloway was first elected in 2010, when she upset then-Senate Majority Leader Russ Decker as part of an epic Republican wave that saw the GOP win large majorities in both the Assembly and State Senate. After last summer's Senate recalls cut the GOP Senate majority from a five-seat margin to a one-seat margin, Democrats have been able...

Madison - Gov. Scott Walker is raking in money at a pace not seen before in Wisconsin politics as he prepares to face the state's first-ever gubernatorial recall, taking in more than $4.5 million over five weeks. In just over a year, Walker has raised more than $12 million in campaign donations - more than he spent to win the seat in 2010 - and despite sizable spending in recent weeks still has $2.6 million in cash in the bank, according to figures released Monday by his campaign. The Republican governor has traveled the country to raise money in recent...

November 2010 was a good month for Republicans. In Wisconsin, the party rode to victory in the governor's office and took back control of the full Legislature. Sen. Pam Galloway, 56, of Wausau, was part of the sweep. The former chair of the Republican Party of Marathon County, she had minimal name recognition in her central-Wisconsin district, yet was able to defeat 20-year Democratic veteran Russ Decker for his Senate seat. A breast cancer surgeon and pathologist by training, Galloway's campaign slogan had a medical twist: jump-starting Wisconsin's economy with "CPR: control taxes, promote jobs and reduce spending." Also pro-life...

In a statement today, Al-Qaeda's American rep, Adam Gadahn (né Adam Perlman, whom the FBI seeks "in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States"), has this to say: If the Zionist crusader missionaries of hate and counter-Islam consultants like Daniel Pipes, Robert Spencer, Michael Scheuer, Steven Emerson, and yes, even the crusader-in-chief George W. Bush were to abandon their unbelief and repent and enter into the light of Islam and turn their swords against the enemies of God, it would be accepted of them and they would be our brothers in Islam." So, Al-Qaeda wants me and my...

ONE of Britain’s most vocal, extremist preachers has been using a false name on a secret website to incite Muslim followers to go on jihad, or holy war, in Somalia. Anjem Choudary, former spokesman of the banned group Al-Muhajiroun, has posted a statement on a jihadist internet forum telling followers they must join the “divine call of jihad” in the African state. His call in the password-protected site came days before America mounted air raids on suspected Al-Qaeda units in southern Somalia and news emerged that seven British passport holders had been captured in Somalia by Ethiopian troops. This weekend...

Senator Galloway Statement on Fraudulent Sick Notes Senator Pam Galloway (Râ€Wausau), released the following statement today: “Over the weekend, various news outlets have reported that some physicians were handing out medical excuse notes to protestors attending rallies at the State Capitol. There is video footage of this including notes signed by a physician who is employed as an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have no issue with public employees who went in to see their physicians and obtained a note after being examined. However, I am outraged that doctors allegedly stood on street corners in downtown Madison...

A flotilla of ships titled the "Viva Palestina" convoy, hailed by organizers as the largest convoy to break the Gaza embargo, is set to depart this weekend, organizers announced Thursday. The flotilla has been cleared to sail from Syria to the Egyptian port of Al-Arish, from where it will make its way into Gaza. The Egyptian government announced that it will allow the aid convoy to dock at Al-Arish seaport while en route to Gaza. Hussam Zaki of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the convoy will be allowed access to Gaza however he insisted George Galloway, the British ex-parliamentarian

An alarming, must-see video at Big Peace shows prominent leaders of the Islamic community in the United States openly raising money for terrorism at a Saudi-funded mosque in central Florida. Organized by the Islamic Society of Central Florida’s Imam Muhammad Musri, the compelling video features leftist former UK MP George Galloway and three-time felon Mahdi Bray of the Muslim American Society’s Freedom Foundation raising at least $55,000 for Hamas. The fundraiser– held at Masjid Al-Rahman mosque in Orlando, Florida– was intended to raise money for Galloway’s Viva Palestina, then funneling money openly to the Islamist terrorist movement of Hamas in...

BBC’s flotilla film slammed as ‘biased’ By JONNY PAUL 08/20/2010 01:13 Anti-Israel groups outraged at 'racist' documentary; plan protests. LONDON – A BBC documentary screened this week that investigated the Gaza flotilla incident on May 31 is causing a storm of protest – from critics of Israel, who are furious that the program was not as hostile to Israel as they thought it should be. The critics, including an activist from the Free Gaza movement who was aboard the Mavi Marmara, are organizing demonstrations on Sunday outside the BBC’s London headquarters and other BBC offices, and are calling for...

NOTE: THIS IS THE NEW FLOTILLA/CONVOY/"HUMANITARIAN AID"/"HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS" THREAD. SNIPPET: "While the debate over mosque development in New York continues to dominate the news cycle, opposing sides in the Israeli blockade on Gaza are gearing up for a new round of confrontations that could take place as soon as next month. Although the list of items restricted from entering Gaza has been dramatically reduced, George Galloway, the ex-British MP who runs the group Viva Palestina, promises a new land convoy leaving from London, Casablanca and Doha September 18. Galloway has made it clear his mission has more to do...

Mysterious Group Buys Building Next to Ground Zero For Mosque Wednesday, December 16, 2009 Jim Hoft A mysterous Muslim group with unknown sponsors has purchased a building steps away from Ground Zero. Hudson New York reported: An identified group with unknown sponsors has purchased building steps away from where the WorldTrade Center once stood — to turn it into potentially one of the largest New York City mosques. At the moment the building, the old Burlington Coat Factory, already serves as a mini-mosque: an iron grill lifts every Friday afternoon for a little known Imam leading prayers a few yards...

Former Weather Underground leaders William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Code Pink founder Jodie Evans, helped organize the Free Gaza Movement, which launched the six-ship flotilla from Turkey to Israel that ended in a violent clash with Israeli Defense Forces, BigGovernment.com reported. In January, the trio were spotted in Egypt attempting to stir up crowds on the streets with 1,400 other left-wing activists after the Egyptian government refused to allow Free Gaza Movement members to enter the Gaza Strip. About 100 marchers were eventually allowed to cross the border, where they were met by former Hamas prime minister...

When Israeli commandos recently raided a terrorist-laden “relief” ship, they came into deadly contact with so-called “peace” activists who were aiding the terrorist cause of Gaza’s Hamas rulers. Among them were representatives of Viva Palestina, an organization founded by the anti-American former member of Britain’s parliament, George Galloway. Viva Palestina portrays itself as a humanitarian group dedicated to helping the people of Gaza. In reality, the group has longstanding ties to terrorism — one its members was once a senior leader in Hamas — and prolongs the Gazans’ suffering by supporting Hamas; by aiding its jihad to destroy Israel; and...

IPT News June 9, 2010 SNIPPET: "The Turkish-based charity that helped drive last week's deadly confrontation with Israeli commandos has deep ties to Hamas and other terrorist groups. The Hamas ties are not in question. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and IHH officials simply do not acknowledge that Hamas is a terrorist group." SNIPPET: "U.S. officials have expressed concern over the fact that "IHH representatives have met with senior Hamas officials in Turkey, Syria, and Gaza over the past three years," but IHH is not a designated terrorist organization in the United States. It's fair to ask, why not?"...

June 02, 2010 “REPORT DAMAGING TO TURKISH “HUMANITARIAN” ORGANIZATION/ERDOGAN REGIME BEING SUPPRESSED?” SNIPPET: "Islamist extremists recruited by the IHH (in Turkish Insani Yardim Vakfi) masquerading as “peace activists” attacked Israeli soldiers with knives, clubs, chains, stun grenades and firearms when the soldiers boarded the IHH owned and operated vessel Mavi Marmaris as it was attempted to violate the Israeli blockade of Hamas-controlled Gaza.” SNIPPET: “This should not be surprising given that Hamas is the Gaza branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. More interesting is the possibility that the armed “peace activists” were actually part of the Ikhwan’s Secret Apparatus, which for...

The following FA video is dedicated to Major Chris Galloway and his family: [VIDEO AT SITE] Every year, as Memorial Day Weekend begins to roll around, I feel melancholy and sad. Much of that has to do with a general sense that so many of my fellow citizens don't truly appreciate the meaning behind the 3-4 day weekend of family barbecues and special discount sales at the mall. All our peace and prosperity has been made possible because of the men and women who have served and sacrificed since the beginning of our nation's founding. We, as a nation,...

A prominent Muslim scholar banned from the United States for six years returned Wednesday for visits to four cities... "In the name of your fear or mistrust of Muslim-majority countries, you may end up betraying your own values," Tariq Ramadan ... Ramadan said he was happy to be in the U.S. ...to speak on a panel Thursday at The Cooper Union college. "My name has been cleared," he said. The 47-year-old professor at Oxford University in England was permitted to return to the United States after Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in January signed orders enabling re-entry for him...

The news that British MP George Galloway was the planned guest speaker at a February 1 Hamas fundraiser at Boston's Palestinian Cultural Center for Peace would, in a morally coherent world, be alarming for those in the West who wonder why elected officials should be gathering support for a group of jihadist thugs whose principal efforts are dedicated to the extirpation of Israel and the murder of Jews. Here again is yet another instance of the dangerous unholy alliance between Islamists, with a specific agenda to dilute Western institutions and destroy Israel, and leftists, who, in accommodating radical Islam, not...
