“We’re not going back,” Obama said, flanked by people who the White House said are benefiting from the Affordable Care Act. Obama urged Americans to “refocus on what’s at stake.” “What’s important for everybody to remember is not only that the law has helped millions of people,” Obama said, “but also that there are millions more that stand to be helped.” “Do not let the initial problems with the website discourage you,” Obama implored, arguing that enrolling in coverage “will make all the difference".

President Obama declared Tuesday that ObamaCare "is working" and that "we're not going back," as the White House looked to reboot its efforts to sell Americans on the president's signature healthcare law. Obama said that "poor execution" of the rollout of HealthCare.gov had "clouded" the benefits of the bill, but said he would not allow technical glitches to undermine a program that was providing financial security for many Americans. "If I've got to fight another three years to make sure this law works, that's what we'll do," Obama said. "We're not repealing it as long as I'm president," he added....

<p>I'm a helpful chap. Obama's been caught in his own personal "Read My Lips, No New Taxes" moment. He said, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it. Period."</p>
<p>Well, that wasn't true. So now he's changing the lie, saying, "You can keep your plan, if the plan didn't change since the law was passed."</p>

President Barack Obama made it no secret he was a proponent of a single payer health care system in America when he first came on to the national scene. However, he explained to his supporters over the years that a "potential transition" would be necessary to break away from the current system. Interestingly, as the implementation of the Obamacare exchanges face problems and millions begin to lose coverage from their private insurers, something President Obama promised would not happen, Democrats and their liberal allies are now beginning to suggest a single payer system as a solution to the rickety exchanges....

"All we've been hearing the last three years is if you like your policy you can keep it. ... I'm infuriated because I was lied to," one woman told the Los Angeles Times, as part of a story on how some middle-class Californians have been stunned to learn the real costs of Obamacare. And that lie looks like the biggest lie about domestic policy ever uttered by a U.S. president. The most famous presidential lies have to do with misconduct (Richard Nixon's "I am not a crook" or Bill Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations") or war. Woodrow...

CNN's Carol Costello admitted on Wednesday that President Obama's staff "can be quite nasty" to deal with. Given Costello's propensity to be a bleeding-heart liberal, her admission is all the more striking. "I felt it first hand when I was, you know, reporting on the presidential race," Costello noted. "I mean President Obama's people can be quite nasty. They don't like you to say anything bad about their boss, and they're not afraid to use whatever means they have at hand to stop you from doing that, including threatening your job..." President Obama opposed passage of funding for veterans’ death benefits because the Fisher House Foundation has agreed to cover the costs, according to his spokesman.

Okay, so if the Continuing Resolution that was supposed to fund the National Parks, Obamacare, and etc. hasn't been passed and the Fed has now had to shut down the parks and etc. due to a lack of funding then why isn't Obamacare being shut down? Is anyone asking this question because I haven't seen it or heard it being asked anywhere.

The Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina created a publicity crap storm for the Spite House when operators were forced to close during the government shutdown. The inn sits on federal land and despite the owner’s attempt to defy orders from the Park Police, he was forced to close his doors and throw away spoiled food during the height of fall foliage season. Today, the inn will reopen at 5 p.m. and all October reservations will be honored.

President Obama on Tuesday expressed openness to large-scale discussions with Republicans on entitlements, taxes and a host of other hot-button issues. He even offered to buy them dinner — but only after the government is reopened and the nation’s debt ceiling is raised. In a rare appearance before reporters in the White House press room, a visibly frustrated Mr. Obama again called on House Speaker John Boehner to call a vote on a “clean” bill to reopen Washington.

Conservative talk radio Mark Levin said Wednesday if the Obama administration lays "one damn hand" on any World War II veteran trying to see their memorial that he would bring "half a million people" to it. The Obama administration closed the World War II Memorial as part of the government shutdown and even threatened veterans on Honor Flights with potential arrests if they went past what is being called "Barrycades." "I want to say this loud and clear to the people on Capitol Hill who are listening, to this administration. You lay one damn hand on one of those World...

The state Department of Natural Resources on Wednesday refused a directive from the National Park Service to close a host of popular state properties because of the federal government shutdown. The park service ordered state officials to close the northern unit of the Kettle Moraine, Devil's Lake, and Interstate state parks and the state-owned portion of the Horicon Marsh, but state authorities rebuffed the request because the lion's share of the funding came from state, not federal coffers. State officials opted to keep public lands open as Gov. Scott Walker blamed both Republicans and Democrats for the partial government shutdown...

Twitter photo by Charlie Spiering, the Washington Examiner. The Obama administration is adding more barricades at the World War Two Memorial in Washington, D.C. this morning, according to reporters on the scene. The reinforcements are being put in place apparently to prevent a repeat of yesterday when WWII veterans aided by several Republican Congressmen pushed aside barricades to visit their memorial.Buzzfeed got no response from the White House last night when queried about the administration closing the memorial to veterans.A report last night claimed that the Park Service would arrest veterans who attempt to visit the WWII Memorial.

I don’t believe America has ever seen such a thing. The leader of the free world just followed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s honest, visionary, and serious U.N. speech with a speech of his own in the Rose Garden. More like it, President Obama just recorded essentially an infomercial on the disastrous Obamacare rollout. In a speech full of unserious claims and low-level false accusations against those who disagree with his liberal, unworkable policies, this president engaged in doublespeak without even blinking. It was unreal. Obama just proclaimed all our predictions about Obamacare were wrong. The economy is doing great, he...

I'd love to read a few articles entitled: "Obama Threatens to Shut Down Government", "Democrats Threaten to Shut Down Government", "Harry Reid Threatens to Shut Down Government". Those would be the truth in bold print. "Truth in Advertising" so to speak. The reality is that democrat politicians are throwing temper tantrums over adding one more exemption to the huge pile of exemptions they've already issued. They've given exemptions to their fat cats, big businesses, and corporate welfare pals. They've given exemptions to countless cronies. They've even given an exemption to themselves after this really odd whining about ObamaCare draining their...

Another mass shooting is renewing calls for gun control from some on Capitol Hill. … Senator Blumenthal: “Another act of gun violence in an America plagued by a plethora of guns.” … Senator Reid: “We’re gonna move this up as quickly as we can, but we gotta have the votes first. We don’t have the votes.” …

If you think the Obama health law is only for the uninsured and you won’t be affected, you’re in for a surprise next time you go to the doctor. Be prepared for questions unrelated to why you are seeking medical help — questions that you don’t want to answer.Whether you’re at the dermatologist or the cardiologist, you’ll likely be asked: “Are you sexually active? If so, do you have one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?â€Doctors are being turned into government agents, where they’re pressured financially to ask questions they consider inappropriate and unnecessary and violate their Hippocratic Oath...

“I think that Dr. King would be amazed in many ways about the progress that we’ve made,” he said. “What he would also say, though, is that the March on Washington was about jobs and justice,” he added. “And that when it comes to the economy, when it comes to inequality, when it comes to wealth, when it comes to the challenges that inner cities experience, he would say that we have not made as much progress as the civil and social progress that we’ve made, and that it’s not enough just to have a black president.

It has taken the global left nearly 2 decades to usher the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) through the friendly confines of the United Nations. Offered for signature in its final form in June, the Treaty which purports to “establish common international standards for regulating the trade in conventional arms,” really is as dangerous to the right of Americans to keep and bear arms as 2nd Amendment supporters have claimed since the Obama Regime–specifically, Hillary Clinton–began the push for the Treaty’s eventual ratification several years ago. (1) The ATT was deliberately written in broad, general terms throughout most of its text....
