Laura Ingraham’s Fox News program saw its highest-rated month ever in June despite two advertiser boycotts led by Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg. “The Ingraham Angle” earned 2.654 million total viewers per night last month — the highest the show has seen since it launched in late October, The Wrap reported Tuesday. Ms. Ingraham thanked her viewers and production team in a tweet Tuesday afternoon. This after Mr. Hogg, an 18-year-old anti-gun activist, renewed his call for a boycott against Ms. Ingraham last month after she compared migrant child detention centers to “summer camps.”

The Fox pair is nearing the 4-5 million viewers per day on a regular basis...with MSNBC at about 2...

While Fox News continues to dominate in the world of cable, CNN’s audience continues to shrink, reports TV Newser. In total day viewers, Fox News is again number...

Last week, more Americans tuned in to watch re-runs of “Yogi Bear,” “Full House,” and “Friends” on Nick At Nite than to watch Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon’s shows on CNN. According to cable ratings from the week of June 26-July 2, CNN’s viewership of its primetime shows was ranked significantly lower than its competitors like Fox News and MSNBC, which place first and second respectively. Clocking in at No. 10 on the list, CNN fell behind HGTV, Nick At Nite, History Channel, and ESPN — the sports network that’s been hemorrhaging viewers for months. CNN’s ratings nosedive corresponds with...

It has been suggested that there’s is a “war” on against Fox News as the network completes critical personnel changes and launches new programming. Certainly, critics hope viewers are under the impression that Fox is suffering in the ratings. But they are not, and this is indisputable. The network still rules. For the 22nd week in a row, Fox News remains the most-watched cable network of all, besting HGTV, USA and TBS, say the latest Nielsen Media Research findings. Additionally, Fox News programs made up 15 of the top 30 telecasts on basic cable. And no matter what you might...

MSNBC finally overtook Fox News Channel — and left CNN in the dust. Officials at the once third place cable news network were crowing Monday about winning last week’s primetime ratings race for the first time. Led by Rachel Maddow, the left-skewing primetime schedule beat Fox’s revamped Bill O’Reilly-less lineup for the first time, a humiliating loss for Tucker Carlson, “The Five” and Sean Hannity, according to the latest Nielsen numbers. For the week, Monday through Friday when people are paying the most attention to the big name TV hosts who go head-to-head on cable news, MSNBC won across the...

Fox News slipped to third place in the primetime demo for the first time in 17 years last week as competitors CNN and MSNBC enjoyed a surge in viewership thanks to a chaotic news week for President Donald Trump’s administration. For the week of May 15-19, Fox News averaged just 497,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted key demo of adults 25-54 during primetime hours, compared to CNN’s 589,00 and MSNBC’s 611,000, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which cited data from ratings tracker Nielsen.

The sudden death of Roger Ailes (R.I.P.) yesterday is a grim omen for the network he envisioned and built. In the wake of the recent upheavals at Fox News, the conservative cable television network’s ratings are experiencing a precipitous decline from cable news leadership for the first time in the history of the channel. As the rest of the mainstream media continue their efforts to undermine and “resist” the Trump Administration, this development bodes ill for the future -- not only of the unique kind of fair and balanced if right of center reporting pioneered by the Fox News Channel...

On the heels of major shakeups at the Fox News Network, an alternative conservative network is being actively discussed amongst conservative fat cats. A well-placed source close to the proposal tells Mediaite that serious discussions are underway to create an alternative conservative cable network on the belief that the Fox News Network is moving too far to the left. The source, who is engaged in the talks, says a meeting is planned for today with two prominent high-powered television executives, some underperforming conservative networks and people who have an interest and the ability to fund a new network. The potential...

Fox News normally ranks #1 among cable news channels. But lately MSNBC's Rachel Maddow has been challenging Fox at 9 p.m., the centerpiece of the prime time schedule. "The Rachel Maddow Show" surpassed "Tucker Carlson Tonight" in March among 25- to 54-year-old viewers, the demographic that determines advertising rates. Maddow was on track to win again in April. But on Monday night the cable news ratings race changed dramatically. Carlson moved from 9 p.m. to 8, replacing Bill O'Reilly, and Fox's 5 p.m. talk show "The Five" moved to 9. Maddow may or may not benefit from the change. Regardless,...

Fox Business Network topped CNBC in viewership during the business day for the fifth consecutive month, an illustration of dramatic growth at an upstart network that began operation a decade ago. FBN averaged 218,000 viewers during the hours between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in February, an increase of 59 percent over February 2016. CNBC, meanwhile, dropped from 212,000 to 182,000 in the same measurement, Nielsen Media Research said. That's a startling change for a marketplace where CNBC was once considered the unquestioned leader. But CNBC has suggested those raw numbers are deceptive: the network stopped using Nielsen as a...

Fox News's Tucker Carlson is nearly doubling the ratings of his predecessor, Megyn Kelly, when compared to the same time period last year, according to Nielsen Media Research. "Tucker Carlson Tonight" is up 95 percent in the 25- to 54-year-old demographic that advertisers covet most compared with the same period in 2016, when "The Kelly File" occupied the 9 p.m. ET time slot. Carlson has averaged 775,000 viewers per night in the category, while Kelly averaged 398,000 during the same time period, Jan. 11–22. Carlson took over the 9 p.m. slot on Jan. 9, shortly after Kelly announced she would...
