The Flyers are scrubbing connections with famed singer Kate Smith as the team investigates racist lyrics in several of her songs. That includes covering a bronze statue of Smith that stands outside Xfinity Live! and removing her iconic recording of “God Bless America” from their playlist. “We have recently become aware that several songs performed by Kate Smith contain offensive lyrics that do not reflect our values as an organization,” the Flyers said in a statement. "As we continue to look into this serious matter, we are removing Kate Smith’s recording of 'God Bless America’ from our library and covering...

The Yankees have taken a stand against racism for their seventh-inning stretch. For 18 years, Yankee Stadium regularly used Kate Smith’s 1939 recording of “God Bless America” in the middle of the seventh inning. But they ditched it altogether this season, replacing Smith’s rendition with different versions of the song. Why? As the Daily News learned, the Yankee were made aware of Smith’s history of potential racism.

Kate Smith’s rendition of “God Bless America” has been scrapped at Yankee Stadium, but Bronx Bomber fans are going to bat for her over allegations of racism. Smith’s niece, Suzy Andron, told The Post she is “honored” by the groundswell of support for the late singer among fans and media. As I tossed a bunch more political mass mailed flyers into trash today i wondered maybe I should have marked them return to sender and have the pacs and liberal/leftist groups sending them pay return postage? Some thing maybe useful for next elections because I'm being innudated with their large cardstock mailings in my state and I'd guess others of you are as well? As a registered undeclared/Independent voter I used to get mailings looking for donations and I would seal and return the postage paid envelopes empty so they had to pay return postage.

    DAILY MAIL UK ^ | Nov. 4, 2017 | Mary Kekatos For Dailymail.com
Racist flyers have painted a Sikh candidate running for mayor of a New Jersey town as a terrorist. The advertisements, left on car windshields in Hoboken, were directed at City Councilman Ravi Bhalla just days before Election Day on Tuesday. 'Don't let TERRORISM take over our Town!' read the larger message on the flyers, placed directly above a photo of Bhalla in his turban. The flyer used the majority of an advertisement originally run by fellow mayoral candidate Michael DeFusco that attacked Bhalla over an alleged conflict of interest and added the larger print.

The anti-Trump super-PAC that spent more than $2 million slamming the billionaire in Iowa is preparing to launch a new secret weapon in New Hampshire -- John McCain. Trump offended many Republicans when he mocked McCain's Vietnam War service last July, saying "he was a war hero because he was captured. ... I like people who...

I am watching the game and there she is! With Piper and Bristol (or perhaps not Bristol, but the middle daughter- I forgot her name). she looks great! A mixed crowd reaction, but mostly cheering, some boos for sure, but they were drowned out by the music. Hey, people can boo if they want, it's still a free country (for now). It all went off without a hitch. I Love Sarah Palin.
