This has been the craziest NHL post season I’ve ever seen!
I thought they were down 3-0 in game 7.
So, Go Pliers...
Been a Flyers fan since the ‘Broad Street Bullies’ days.
They were, that was a real bad omen for the Bruins. They lost the game 4-3, the same as the series.
Yep, YOUR RIGHT!
Can’t type....”YOU’RE RIGHT”!
Flyers basically did what the Red Sox did back in 2004 or so. Red Sox were down 0-3 in the World Series and came back and won four in a row.
I thought it was 3-1 Bruins at the end of the first period.
Don’t care about hockey, but anything that makes New England sports fans twist in the wind is okay by me...
Hmmm.....
I officially award the Boston Bruins the Latrell Sprewell Award for biggest choke.
Just Amazing.
Yesss!!!!! 35 years after the last cup the boys make a bit of history again.
3-0 in the game. The game matched the series. Pretty amazing stuff. 3rd time in NHL history, 4 time in sports history, and given that the last time it was the Red Sox beating the Yankees I’m betting a bunch of Yankees fans feel avenged.
Bruins lost their best player Krejci in game 3...go figure
Two oddities: 1) the three straight wins followed by four straight losses sealed by three straight goals for Boston followed by four straight goals by Philly)
2) In 1979, in a game 7 vs Montreal, Boston led by a goal and got nailed for too many men on the ice, setting up the tying goal (they lost in OT). Tonight, in a game 7, Boston was tied and got nailed for too many men on the ice, setting up the winning goal. Don Cherry was the Bruins’ coach in 1979
SCOOOOORRRRRREEEEE
Of course it was bigger for the Yankees-Red Sox league (not world) series, not only were the Yankees up 3-0 in games, they took a lead into the 9th inning, even got the first out, then the come back started. And they repeated that in the 5th game (2 outs away from the Series). The only way to get a bigger choke than that would be to do it in the world series, and 1 out away.
