A Florida federal judge...sanctioned former President Donald Trump and his lead attorney Alina Habba nearly $1 million in Trump's racketeering lawsuit against Hillary Clinton for what the judge called a "pattern of misuse of the courts." In a scathing order, U.S. District Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks said Trump and Habba... are jointly liable for $937,989.39 in attorney fees and costs of the 31 defendants... which claimed that Clinton conspired with the Democratic National Committee and others to "weave a false narrative" that Trump colluded with Russians..." Judge Middlebrooks said the lawsuit "should never have been filed" and was brought simply...

Thousands of convicted felons will be eligible to vote in Florida after a federal court ruled that a law that created wealth-based hurdles to voting is unconstitutional. The law, SB 7066, required people with past convictions to pay all outstanding legal fees, costs, fines and restitution before regaining their right to vote. The law undermined Floridians’ 2018 passage of Amendment 4, which restored voting rights to more than a million people who completed the terms of their sentence, including parole or probation. U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle found that conditioning voting on payment of legal financial obligations a person is...

In a 5-2 opinion, the Florida Supreme Court Wednesday approved a map for the 27 congressional districts submitted not by the Florida Legislature, but by the Florida League of Women Voters and other members of a liberal coalition and approved by Circuit Judge Terry Lewis in October. See the high court's decison here. The resulting map approved Wednesday is basically the work of Democratic operatives. Justice Ricky Polston, one of the dissenters, criticized the decision because Judge Lewis relied on a map drawn by a redistricting consultant with ties to Democrats and was designed to intentionally pack Republicans into districts. That...
  • FLORIDA! 130 DAYS TIL YOU CAN VOTE OUT 3 SUPREME COURT SCOFF-LAWS! DON'T FORGET!!

Election Day is November 5, 2002. Please, Florida, do not forget the HATRED FOR THE CONSTITUTION the Supreme Court of Florida exhibited in November and December of the year 2000. From the SCOFFLAWS website, there is a clear chance for you to replace three of the seven Kangaroo Court Justices: Merit retention is a system of selecting Justices established by the voters when they amended the Florida Constitution in the 1970s. Under merit retention, the Governor appoints new Justices from a list of three to six names submitted by a Judicial Nominating Commission. The Governor must select from the list....

SARASOTA - Joseph P. Smith won't stand before an unfamiliar name this March when he is expected to enter a plea before a judge. Facing charges in the kidnapping and murder of 11-year-old Carlie Brucia and two drug-related charges, Smith, 37, is scheduled to face Sarasota Circuit Judge Harry Rapkin at an arraignment hearing March 12, according to the Sarasota County Clerk of Courts' records. The two have never met, but their histories are intertwined.Rapkin crossed paths with Smith's case as recently as December when state corrections officials tried to put Smith back in jail on a probation violation. Rapkin said...

Just a reminder: Two Florida Supreme Court Judges are up for "re-election" (Merit Retention) this year. Chief Justice Charles T. Wells, who voted correctly with the SCOTUS in preventing Al Gore steal the 2000 election, and wrote a scathing dissent of his co-judges, is due. The other, Harry Lee Anstead, thought it was perfectly alright for the State Supreme Court to change the rules of an election AFTER voting took place, in order to hand the election to fellow Democrat Gore. He also felt it was also perfectly OK to prevent every MILITARY vote from being counted.
