A Danish navy missile could launch any minute due to a technical error, forcing the country to close an area of air space and warn ships of a potential accidental strike. ...'The launch vehicle, the booster, is activated, and currently cannot be disabled,' the military said in a statement.

Just when you thought there were no parts of your life not already under the thumb of the federal government, a new idea emerges. This time it comes from the National Transportation Safety Board and it involves outsiders having control of the gas pedal in your car. While you're driving, of course. The proposal from the NTSB is to install "intelligent speed assistance" tech in all cars, a system that uses a car's GPS location and local speed limit postings "to help ensure safe and legal speeds."

Nearly $12 million is missing in financial disclosures for a super political action committee for President Joe Biden, prompting calls for an investigation. Future Forward said that it received $3.4 million from its associated nonprofit, Future Forward USA Action. But Future Forward USA Action said in tax documents that it passed $15.3 million to Future Forward. Chauncey McLean, who worked on former President Barack Obama's presidential campaigns, leads both Future Forward and its nonprofit. Future Forward did not respond to requests for comment.

We told you the media would run away from this story once the identity of the U-Haul driver was identified. Sai Varshith Kandula, 19, rammed security barricades near the White House early on May 23. Explosives were not found inside the vehicle, but a notebook and duct tape were found in his backpack. There was also a Nazi flag, something the Left zeroed in on like a Tomahawk missile before Mr. Kandula was revealed as the perpetrator. A nonwhite man from Chesterfield, Missouri, committed the crime. It was time for the liberal media to deploy countermeasures. Kandula reportedly wanted to...

ATLANTA—A Georgia man who professed a passion for guns and God was in custody on Tuesday night after a string of shootings that police said appeared to target Asian women at massage parlors and left eight people dead. Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock, Georgia, was caught on video at the crime scenes and later nabbed on a highway two hours south of Atlanta following a police chase, authorities said. Police stressed that it was still much too early to announce a motive, but the horrific attacks come amid a wave of targeted violence against the Asian-American community. Details about the...

A Georgia man is suspected of gunning down eight people in three mass shootings at massage parlors that are primarily staffed by Asian women in Atlanta and a nearby suburb on Tuesday evening, police said. The suspected gunman, Robert Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock, GA, was captured Tuesday night about 150 miles south of Atlanta following a statewide police manhunt. Authorities believe Long opened fire on five people shortly before 5 p.m. in Young’s Asian Massage Parlor near Acworth in Georgia’s Cherokee County, officials said. Four of the victims of that shooting died, according to the local sheriff’s office. Less...

President Obama's second-term agenda, it seems, is in the hands of the courts. Same-sex marriage. Obamacare. Climate change. And now immigration. And in many cases, there is significant doubt about whether his signature initiatives will stand legal scrutiny. The latest blow to Obama's second-term plans came Tuesday when a federal appeals court in New Orleans denied the administration's request to move forward with implementing his expanded executive action on immigration to defer deportation for millions of undocumented immigrants. Texas and 25 other states have sued to have it shelved. The drama is sure to ensue for months, writes the Post's...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder plans to stay on through November's mid-term elections and has no timeline for an exit after that, a Justice Department official told Reuters on Friday. "The Attorney General does not plan to leave before the mid-terms. That does not mean that he is definitely leaving after the mid-terms, just that he is at least staying through that time," the official said.

While most of Washington has moved on, legal scholars expect a decision soon in a potentially landmark case in one of the federal government's most damaging scandals -- Operation Fast and Furious. Republican lawmakers, after holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for failing to turn over records they had subpoenaed, are still waiting for a judge to rule on their case. But they have not forgotten.

Republicans to press "Fast and Furious" suitWASHINGTON | Sun Jul 1, 2012 1:11pm EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives plans to file a civil suit in federal court in the next several weeks over the Obama administration's refusal to give Congress documents about a failed gun-running probe, House Speaker John Boehner said on Sunday. The Justice Department said on Friday it would not prosecute Attorney General Eric Holder after he was cited a day earlier by the Republican-led House for contempt of Congress for withholding some documents related to the probe. House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley are asking the Department of Justice’s internal investigator to hold accountable anyone who retaliated against or threatened to retaliate against Operation Fast and Furious whistleblowers. In a Friday letter to the DOJ’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz, Grassley and Issa said they’re now concerned retaliation is much more likely following Thursday’s votes to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal and civil contempt of Congress. “We just learned that ATF senior management placed two of the main whistleblowers who have testified before Congress about Fast and Furious under...

Rep. Darrell Issa managed to push the details of a secret wiretap application from the botched “Fast and Furious” gunwalking operation into the public domain this week when he entered summaries into the Congressional Record, apparently using Congress‘ protection under the speech and debate clause to get around legal boundaries. The summary of a March 2010 wiretap application shows that federal agents repeatedly lost track of guns they knew were being trafficked back to cartels in Mexico — a violation of Justice Department policy that should have raised red flags with top department officials who signed off on the wiretaps,...

So let's go down the list. He began with ObamaCare...which very well might be ruled unconstitutional quite soon. Most recently he bypassed Congress and enacted The Dream Act all by his lonesome after stating a year ago that he didn't have the power to do that. Oh, lets not forget that he refuses to defend DOMA, a federal law passed in 1996 and signed by President Clinton. And now this: President Obama on Wednesday asserted executive privilege over documents sought by a House panel ahead of its vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress. It’s...

The ties between the cartels and violent terrorist groups like Hezbollah and al-Shabaab of Somalia are well-documented, and when put into context alongside other developing similarities between the two factions, it begs the question: are the cartels taking notes from terrorists? Only two weeks ago, a man in an Afghan soldier’s uniform shot and killed a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan, according to an Associated Press report. The Taliban later claimed responsibility for the attack. The shooting marked the 15th time in 2012 alone that Afghan soldiers or enemy combatants impersonating soldiers in military uniforms fired on foreign troops, according to...

Officials at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) who oversaw the lethal gun-walking scheme, Operation Fast and Furious, have reportedly been suspended for their actions -- perhaps because of a forthcoming report from the Office of the Inspector General.
