GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan woman has been sentenced to three to seven years in prison for opening fire at a McDonald's restaurant after workers twice failed to put bacon on her burgers. Authorities say 30-year-old Shaneka Torres became angry in February 2014 when the first burger she ordered at the restaurant's drive-up station was missing bacon. She was offered a free meal, but bacon also wasn't added to a second burger order.

Republicans aren’t talking about Chris Christie. The New Jersey governor’s name has been conspicuously omitted during speeches given by key GOP figures during a Republican National Committee meeting in San Diego this week, a GOP official confirmed to The Daily Caller on Thursday. “None of the speeches so far have mentioned Christie,” the source said, noting Christie was kept out of RNC Chairman Reince Priebus’ opening remarks. “In Governor Mary Fallin’s speech last night,” the source went on, “she rattled off a bunch of governors running for president but left Christie out.”

Michael Moore, the habitual liar, has taken to the New York Times to declare that "Obamacare is awful," yet also a "godsend." Writing an article in the NYT, entitled “The Obamacare we deserve," Moore denounced the President’s signature legislation, then encouraged it. The law’s awfulness is the Left’s “dirty little secret,” Moore says. He continued that, instead of righteously blaming “corporations” for much of the problems, Democrats instead over-promised and under-delivered. Eventually, Moore reveals the law’s “fatal flaw:” I believe Obamacare’s rocky start — clueless planning, a lousy website, insurance companies raising rates, and the president’s telling people they could...

Oprah Winfrey's conception of what constitutes racism is strangely egocentric. An assistant at a designer store in Switzerland did not recognize her and ignored her, so Winfrey assumed with her worldwide fame the incident reflected a racist attitude from the clerk. Winfrey related the incident when she spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Paula Deen's recent loss of work following her admission that she had used the N-word. Winfrey said of Deen, whose home she had stayed at when she interviewed her for Oprah's Next Chapter show, "In the very first days I tried to reach her and then I decided...

The dictator is set to open the theme park in capital Pyongyang – and has included the iconic clock tower. The new attraction, which opens this year, will also boast a copy of Paris’ Eiffel Tower. The secretive state famously doesn’t allow its citizens to leave the country – so it appears Jong Un has decided to bring the world to his people....

Despite sequester, feds spend over $1.5 million to study lesbian obesity Over the last two years, the National Institutes of Health have awarded Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston over $1.5 million to learn why nearly three-quarters of lesbians are overweight, Todd Starnes reported Tuesday. According to the NIH, gay males do not suffer from obesity as much as lesbians, and the government wants to know why, calling the disparity an issue of “high public-health significance." "It is now well-established that women of minority sexual orientation are disproportionately affected by the obesity epidemic, with nearly three-quarters of adult lesbians overweight...

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, obesity is a problem for approximately 35 percent of all American adults – a number that is reportedly rising with each passing year. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Friday added his name to a growing list of Republicans who are rebuking Mitt Romney over his “gifts” comments. “You can't expect to be a leader of all the people and be divisive,” said Christie on MSNBC’s Morning Joe when asked if he agreed with fellow Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, who was one of the first to criticize the former GOP nominee over the comments. In a conference call with donors Wednesday, Romney said that minorities and young people voted for Obama because he offered them “gifts.” Said Christie: “You have to...

It was in this one-story, windowless, brick building with a cheesy neon sign on top that 11 Secret Service agents assigned to protect the President ended up embarrassing their country all for a little fun and flesh, local sources told the Daily News. Drinking beers and whisky that range in price from 40,000 to 150,000 pesos ($24 to $84) for bottle service, the agents had their pick of young girls with long, black and brown hair and lots of makeup. “The gringos got rowdy at the bar. They drank fine whisky and slept with the prettiest ones, the ones that...

(CNSNews.com) – Although Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has championed women’s rights from Azerbaijan to Zambia, it took her weeks to respond to an appeal to publicly support a campaign by Saudi women to be permitted to drive. Even then, her comments on Tuesday came not of her own initiative, but in response to a question at a press availability – and after Saudi women activists and journalists had questioned her public silence on the subject. In her answer, Clinton signaled once again the Obama administration’s sensitivity about the U.S. being seen to be preaching change to a non-Western culture...

Liberals on Tax Day: 'Make the Wealthy Pay' Monday, April 18, 2011 By Susan Jones (CNSNews.com) - America is not broke, liberal activists say. The problem is that many corporations and millionaires are not paying their "fair share" of taxes. Supporters of MoveOn.Org have organized more than 300 gatherings around the nation on Monday to demand higher taxes on corporations and wealthy Americans who are "raking it in and continue to get tax break after tax break." Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported on Monday that while wealthy Americans pay less tax than they did a couple of decades ago, 45...

Gore – who compared action on global warming to the Civil Rights movement – was the keynote speaker at Power Shift 2011, a Washington, D.C. conference attended largely by college students. “It’s true that governments by and large have been politically paralyzed because the energy...

(CNSNews.com) – Arizona’s Republican Gov. Jan Brewer came to the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday to hear arguments on an Arizona immigration law signed in 2007 by then-Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, a Democrat. Both governors signed laws that the Obama administration opposes. Napolitano is now part of the Obama administration, serving as Homeland Security Secretary. The law signed by Napolitano in 2007 (HB 2745) sanctions employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens, and it also requires employers doing business with the state of Arizona to use the federal government’s E-Verify database to confirm the legal status of workers. Napolitano called the...
