George Soros has won another and another election. This time, in the DC suburbs of Virginia — Arlington and Fairfax. Soros funneled over a million dollars into the local Democrat primaries for prosecutor. (Compare that to the measly thousands that the local candidates usually raise.) The incumbent Democrats with prosecutorial experience weren’t left-enough for the Marxist worshipper, so Soros sought to replace them with ideologues. Soros backed the “progressive†candidates who publicly echoed his neoliberal ideology, even though they lacked local prosecutorial experience, something that local voters have consistently favored when electing their representative prosecutors. But who cares about what the...

When she was raped at gunpoint at the Alexandria, Va., pool where she worked in 2016, the 24-year-old lifeguard could describe her attacker only as a thin man she believed was 35 to 40 years old and a little over 6 feet tall. Three years later, police arrested Jesse Bjerke, after having DNA from the attack analyzed by genealogy researchers who used public databases to link the sample to people in Bjerke’s family — an increasingly common tool for cracking unsolved crimes. Bjerke is also under investigation for a similar rape at a pool in Fairfax County in 2015, according...

A Virginia public school district has given a student art award to a drawing portraying a hook-nosed Jewish person carrying a money bag and entitled "Jewish People." It was on display at the Northern Virginia Community College’s Ernst Community Cultural Center, and celebrated at an awards ceremony. The drawing portrays a hooked-nose man holding a money bag. The caption reads, "No Jew in the World Understands the Importance of Money." When a school official was confronted by a concerned member of...

On Friday, police in Maryland, announced the arrest of five members of an MS-13 cell based in Fairfax County, Virginia, for the gruesome murder of a fellow gang member across the state line. The suspects allegedly stabbed the victim 100 times and set the body on fire, a hallmark of the Latin American gangs and cartels. All five suspects are being charged with first-degree murder. One of the biggest scams being perpetrated against the American people as part of this mass migration from Central America is the fact that we are treating those who engage in self-trafficking as victims of...

A progressive school in the nation's capital said its students will not be playing sports at the school where Second Lady Karen Pence teaches part-time because of safety concerns. Jessica Donovan, headmaster of Sheridan School, a K-8 institution located in northwest D.C. that has a tuition of more than $36,000 a year, sent a letter to parents saying Immanuel Christian School's policies were an "obvious challenge" given the school's "fundamental belief in diversity and inclusion." The initial plan was to make the kids go to the school during away games wearing rainbow socks or warm-up jerseys as a show of LGBTQ support. But instead, Donovan banned...

Legislate in haste, repent at leisure. Or was something worse afoot in Virginia than just run-of-the-mill lawmaker sloth? One co-sponsor of the now-failed bill that would have allowed already-born infants to die of neglect now says she simply “did not exercise due diligence†before supporting the bill. Dawn Adams, the Democrat from Richmond, wrote in a newsletter to constituents that “I made a mistakeâ€: Del. Dawn Adams, D-Richmond, said she “did not exercise due diligence” before co-sponsoring the abortion legislation with Del. Kathy Tran, D-Fairfax. Tran became the focus of a social media firestorm this week after Republicans circulated...

Medical examiners in New York have ruled that the mysterious deaths of two sisters found dead and duct taped together on the banks of the Hudson River was a double suicide. The cause of death was drowning. The bodies of Rotana Ferea, 23 and Tala Farea, 16 were discovered on October, 24 2018 near the George Washington Bridge. They were quickly identified as Saudi citizens who had gone missing from a shelter-like facility, possibly for abused women, in Fairfax, Virginia in August. "Today, my office determined that the death of the Farea sisters was the result of suicide, in which...

Karen Pence, wife of Vice President Mike Pence, started at a job this week teaching art at Immanuel Christian School in Northern Virginia. It’s not a school where everyone is welcome. In a “parent agreement” posted online, the school says it will refuse admission to students who participate in or condone homosexual activity. The 2018 employment application also makes candidates sign a pledge not to engage in homosexual activity or violate the “unique roles of male and female.” “Moral misconduct which violates the bona fide occupational qualifications for employees includes, but is not limited to, such behaviors as the following:...

Federal prosecutors say the three men — all executives connected to defense contractor Anham FZCO based in the United Arab Emirates — were awarded an $8 billion contract to provide supplies and food to American troops in Afghanistan in 2012. The indictment says that...

Did suburban women cost the Republicans the House of Representatives? Most suburban women can be easily persuaded to vote for Democrats because they do not think seriously. Serious thinking in the political sense is concerned with where we are going as a nation, our moral values, our long-term prosperity, our security, our freedom and its inherent responsibilities. G.K. Chesterton said, “Thinking means connecting things, and stops if they cannot be connected†(Orthodoxy, 1908). Don’t get me wrong – there are many intelligent, serious conservative women in Fairfax County (not to mention the nation as a whole), but they are sadly...

In a Northern Virginia swing district that is one of the most watched in this midterm election, one-quarter of the electorate can’t really say what they think of state Sen. Jennifer Wexton. But in most polls, the Democrat is comfortably ahead of Rep. Barbara Comstock, the two-term Republican who is ubiquitous. That phenomenon says plenty about this particular moment in this particular suburban district across the river from Washington, heavy with college-educated, affluent voters and growing immigrant communities. Voters in Virginia’s 10th Congressional District say they want to vote for a Democrat — any Democrat — as a check on...

Democrats are already worried about turnout this November, particularly because polling shows that the youngest voters – college students in particular – are the least enthusiastic and the least likely to show up at the polls. That gap extends up through the age bracket of the youngest millennials but mostly focuses on what’s now being called Generation Z. In Virginia, however, it appears that enthusiasm isn’t the only problem they have. Young voters there are complaining that they can’t mail in their absentee ballots. Why? Because many of them can’t figure out where and how to purchase stamps to send...
