One of the most frustrating things about "fact-checkers" is how they leap on conservative rhetoric against Democrats as "false" or "missing context" but give Democrats a pass to say the wildest, nastiest things about conservatives. For example, PolitiFact pounced on Georgia Sen. David Perdue as a "Pants on Fire" liar for calling his opponent Sen. Jon Ossoff a "socialist." They gave Donald Trump a "Pants on Fire" rating for calling Ossoff and his fellow Georgia Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock "radical" and "the most extreme far-left candidates in the history of our country." But resident Joe Biden can go to Atlanta...

If Your Time is short There is a risk of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, in young people from the vaccine. But it is rare, and symptoms of the condition are normally mild. The CDC and others say the benefits of the vaccine far outweigh the risks. The CDC said the only confirmed fatalities related to the COVID-19 vaccines are nine deaths from a blood clot disorder tied to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Deaths and other adverse events reported to the government’s VAERS database do not mean they are confirmed to have been caused by the vaccine.See...

Unlike most fact checkers, Glen Pyle actually has legitimate credentials.I first ran into Glen after my friend Professor Byram Bridle was attacked for his views by Professor Pyle and others at the University of Guelph. Pyle and others at the university, when challenged to debate the facts, refused to respond. Apparently, they can dish it out, but won’t defend their position.Pyle is basically on the wrong side of history.Athlete deaths fact checkI thought I would fact check three of the fact checks he wrote, starting with a fact check on the athlete deaths.Dr. Pyle concludes that the vaccines are perfectly...

CLAIM: COVID-19 vaccines don’t provide protection against the new omicron variant of the coronavirus. AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. While it’s true that people who are vaccinated can still get infected with omicron, early research has shown that the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are effective at preventing severe disease, hospitalization and death stemming from the new variant. THE FACTS: A video clip circulating on social media shows Dr. Robert Malone, a frequent critic of the COVID-19 vaccines who has researched mRNA vaccine technology, stating that the shots don’t protect people from omicron. The comments were made during a Dec....

There is no evidence currently that COVID-19 vaccines are linked to an increase in sportspeople collapsing or dying due to heart issues such as myocarditis.Numerous montage videos showing sports stars collapsing or suffering chest pains during matches are circulating on social media (here, here). One clip shared on Facebook (here) shows several incidents of football players collapsing on the pitch. It also includes news headlines about similar cases from around the world of sport, both professional and amateur.Another post (here) includes a link to a blog (here) which strongly suggests the incidents are related to COVID-19 vaccines.Reuters presented the posts to...

Contrary to online claims, the Omicron variant of COVID-19 does not have a 100% survival rate, as some social media users suggest. The variant identified by the World Health Organization as a variant of concern on November 26, 2021, has been a contributing factor in worldwide deaths. A misleading statement published to Facebook, which reads: “The survival rate for Omicron currently is 100%! You’re statistically more likely to die from literally anything else” is viewable here Similar posts are visible here and here . According to the guidance (here ) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), public...

She spoke with The Daily Signal about what she said are the true origins of the virus, orchestrated in China with the approval of the Chinese Communist Party. When The Signal published an exclusive interview with Yan about her research, Facebook flagged the video with a “partly false information” warning. On some posts sharing the video, a warning from Facebook noting “Independent fact-checkers reviewed the information and said it was partly false. As we have previously reported, journalist John Stossel is suing Facebook after Facebook’s ‘fact checkers’ labeled climate change information that Stossel posted as “false and misleading”. In the middle of all this is the nefarious website “Climate Feedback” which has a bunch of climate zealots that write up what they claim are “fact checks” for articles, videos, and news stories they disagree with. Facebook just blew the “fact check” claim right out of the water in court.

“You must now present your identity papers to have the right to watch the video of my declaration of candidacy. The thought police are no longer even hiding: they are showing off their tyrannical nature. The real fight begins,” a Google translation of Zemmour’s tweet in reaction to the censorship reads. The video, which was posted on Tuesday and has accumulated more than 2.5 million views, features the French journalist explaining why he chose to run for president overlayed with clips from the news and clips showing the European country. “For decades, the left and the right have led us...

"Facebook has admitted in a court of law that such fact checks are not factual at all, but merely opinions. People send me stuff. A few days ago Dr Hillary Jones, whilst being interviewed on Lorraine Kelly, claimed:90% of people in hospital are unvaccinated”.🚨🚨 @reallorraine - “That is a really a figure we really need to concentrate on, 90% of people in hospital have not been vaccinated” ➡️ A figure to focus on because its factually incorrect from @DrHilaryJones ◼️ 36% of Covid patients in hospital unvaccinated not 90% pic.twitter.com/PBw1RVGM2E — Jamie Jenkins (@statsjamie) December 6, 2021Similarly, last week, Kevin Maguire claimed on Jeremy Vine’s show that:The unvaccinated are filling hospital beds, they’re in ICUs taking up precious resources – there are hospital waiting...

One of the downsides of telling the truth in this environment is that it seems everyone and their brother wants to tear all your arguments to shreds.I could spend full time just refuting all the hit pieces written about the content I’ve produced. Here’s my fact check of the fact checkers as a repurposed graphic:Rather than address every point of every fact check, here is a checklist for things that a thorough fact checker should be able to answer, but can’t or won’t.Note that this is a quick list I put together in about 30 minutes. There are more, but...

Fact checkers’ reassure public it has nothing to do with vaxx.. The players refused to return to the pitch until the situation had been resolved, with the fan being removed on a stretcher and taken to Watford General Hospital. ... During and after the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the white 18-year-old accused of murdering two white men and injuring another, one could hardly keep track of the insanity based on falsehoods recklessly peddled by media and politicians. In Chicago, the Rev. Jesse Jackson marched in the front line of a group of protesters where some chanted, "When black lives are under attack, what do we do?" Black lives under attack? Rittenhouse is white, as were the two men he shot dead and the man he injured. In September 2020, presidential candidate Joe Biden posted a video that included a picture...

The Independent falsely claimed that Kyle Rittenhouse “shot three black men with rifle” after he was cleared of two charges of murder, one charge of attempted murder, and two charges of reckless endangerment in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The legacy British news outlet, which no longer publishes a print edition but retains an online audience and influence in the UK media and political sphere, led with ‘Full story: Teenager who shot three black men with rifle found not guilty on all charges” as the top subheadline of its front-page coverage of the verdict. In fact, Rittenhouse’s three assailants — Joseph Rosenbaum, a...

Some wonder if it’s true that conservative news organizations are really fact-checked to the extent they claim or if they’re just using it as an excuse to not do the hard work and call out the people who need calling out. I am here to tell you that it’s true and give you some examples of what we face in our communications with fact-checkers, whose reviews of our articles can lead to a massive loss of revenue and potentially put us out of business. As Scott Hounsell wrote, the level of scrutiny applied to our articles over the last 18 months...
