The family of Kate Steinle, a woman shot and killed on San Francisco's Pier 14 last July, Friday filed a federal lawsuit against city and federal officials alleging that a series of policy failures and negligent acts led to her death. The lawsuit, which names the city of San Francisco, former Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, alleges that officials allowed Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an undocumented immigrant with a history of drug offenses, to go free and obtain the gun that killed her. "The Steinle Family hopes that their actions today...

Over the months, Hillary Clinton misstated key facts about her use of private email and her own server for her work as secretary of state, the department's inspector general reported this week. According to the findings, she claimed approval she didn't have and declined to be interviewed for the report despite saying "I'm more than ready to talk to anybody anytime." Scrutiny of her unusual email practices appeared to be unwelcome, despite her contention those practices were well known and "fully above board." A look at some of Clinton's past claims about her unusual email set-up and how they compare...

Let's give credit where it's due. When Donald Trump took his famous escalator ride nearly a year ago, few people outside Trump Tower thought he could win the Republican presidential nomination. Now he has secured the majority of delegates. Before the Republican National Convention. Before the June 7 primaries, including New Jersey and California. Before receiving House Speaker Paul Ryan's endorsement. Before Hillary Clinton. Trump did this without a pollster. Without a campaign staff of even 100 people. Without moderating his rhetoric. Without acting presidential. Without the support of either the party establishment or the conservative movement. The billionaire was...

A survey shows that a four-minute medical animation video of what happens during an abortion leads over a third of “pro-choice” women to view abortion “less favorably.” Pro-life organization Live Action’s “man-on-the-street” video below shows people watching a medical animation video of a Dilatation & Evacuation surgical Abortion Procedures video, narrated by former abortionist Dr. Anthony Levatino. During this second trimester abortion procedure, the abortionist uses instruments to tear the baby’s arms, legs, and body organs, and crush his or her head prior to extracting the baby’s remains from the uterus. Live Action used independent polling company Survey Monkey to...

President Barack Obama told the world on Friday in Hiroshima that the American decision to drop nuclear bombs on Japan in 1945 arose from humanity’s worst instincts, including “nationalist fervor or religious zeal.” The war that ended in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he said, “grew out of the same base instinct for domination or conquest that had caused conflicts among the simplest tribes, an old pattern amplified by new capabilities and without new constraints.” The speech — delivered on the eve of Memorial Day weekend — was billed by the White House as anything but an apology, but Obama’s words betrayed...

Turkey has hit out at the US over images said to show US special forces in Syria wearing insignia of Kurdish militia, during joint operations against so-called Islamic State (IS). Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu called the US "two-faced" and said the practice was "unacceptable". The images appear to show a US special forces soldier wearing the patch of the YPJ - a Kurdish militia group. A Pentagon spokesman said troops often blended in with partners for safety.

Senator Bernie Sanders may be trailing Hillary Clinton by hundreds of delegates, and Mrs. Clinton may be treating the Democratic nomination as hers, but Julie Crowell, a stay-at-home mother and a die-hard Sanders supporter, is holding out for an 11th-hour miracle: divine deliverance at the hands of the F.B.I. Like many of Mr. Sanders’s supporters, Ms. Crowell, 37, said she hoped that Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state would eventually yield an indictment, and she described it as the kind of transgression that would disqualify another politician seeking high office. “She...

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is lovin' it. The billionaire real estate mogul snagged enough delegates to clinch the Republican nomination Thursday, and celebrated with a meal from McDonald's. Greece has reportedly sent the last audio recordings of the doomed EgyptAir flight 804 on Thursday to the investigating teams in Cairo. The investigating team has also received radar imagery and audio recordings from Greece what would purportedly detail the flight’s final trajectory. This has come a day after Egypt reported contracted two foreign companies to help locate the flight data recorders of the carrier's plane that crashed last week in the Mediterranean, killing all 66 passengers and crew on board.

Here is just ONE example, although its a very good example, of why Hillary should be convicted of failing to secure CONFIDENTIAL government foreign-affairs documents... This one is from Sid Blumenthal to Hillary on April 2, 2010. Clearly from the subject matter, it does not belong on any unsecured computer system. It hints at the upcoming killing by the US, France, and NATO of Mohamar Qadaffi, and it even implys WHY this has to be done: Because Qadaffi is creating a 7-billion dollar fund of gold-backed dinars, which will be the only currency allowed for middle-east oil purchases. The message...

On Thursday, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski said that it feels like Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is “lying straight out” about her emails. Brzezinski said, “Here are the things that, like over time, we remember here, her saying repeatedly it was allowed. A private server, set up in her home, by an IT guy who was given immunity, and his emails are missing. And she even joked when she was asked, and I think in a high school gym, did you wipe the server, meaning get rid of everything so no one could see...

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was supposed to have turned over all work-related emails to the State Department to be released to the public. But an agency audit found at least three emails never seen before - including Clinton's own explanation of why she wanted her emails kept private. The existence of these previously unreleased messages - which appear to have been found among electronic files of four former top Clinton State Department aides - renews concerns that Clinton was not completely forthcoming when she turned over a trove of 55,000 pages of work-related emails. All three emails cited in...
