I was introduced to this old song by a WWII-era Veteran friend of mine just last night. Perfect timing, I'd say. ---------------------------------- Those who are less than 100% fans of Donald Trump may consider voting for him to be Russian Roulette. BUT voting for the OPPOSITION means you shoot yourself and Lady Liberty FOR SURE...

The historic Manhattan cathedral that was gutted in a massive fire was one of four Christian Orthodox churches to go up in flames on Orthodox Easter Sunday — sparking fears of a coordinated attack on the religion. While FDNY officials said the blaze at the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Sava on West 25th Street does not appear suspicious, members of the Orthodox community have doubts. They are worried that the blaze — along with church fires in Australia and Russia — were set in retaliation for the religion’s role in blocking the canonization of Croatian Nazi supporter Cardinal Aloysius...

Newt Gingrich went on with Sean Hannity tonight after the Donald Trump’s Indiana blowout and after Ted Cruz suspended his campaign. Newt argued that Donald Trump could be the “the most effective anti-left leader in our lifetime.” Newt added that anyone who does not support Trump is supporting Hillary. First of all, Donald Trump may turn out to be the most effective anti-left leader in our lifetime. He is against political correctness. He is against bureaucracy. He places American nationalism first which I think we desperately need. I’m tired of being told we have to phony agreements and phony efforts...

Statistician and FiveThirtyEight founder Nate Silver famously used “big data” and his mathematical models to predict all 50 state outcomes in the 2012 general election, somehow besting his mark of 49 during the 2008 cycle. The one he got wrong that year: Indiana, which went to Barack Obama by a 0.1 percent margin. For all the numbers and polls and graphs that likely passed Silver’s desk in the weeks prior to that November, the famed prognosticator needed only to focus on a 403-square mile plot of land along the road between Indianapolis and St. Louis. There, the roughly 108,000 citizens...

"You didn't look like a girl when I saw you enter," man saysA North Texas woman said she was followed into a public restroom at a hospital by a man who didn't believe she was female. Jessica Rush said it happened last Thursday while she was being treated for an injured arm at Baylor Medical Center in Frisco. "My first thought was I'm about to be attacked because...

Twice in the past three months, juries have awarded tens millions of dollars to ovarian cancer victims who blamed Johnson & Johnson talcum powder for their illness — among the first verdicts in a gathering courtroom assault by law firms that are aggressively recruiting clients through TV ads and the Internet. While the link between ovarian cancer and talc is a matter of scientific dispute, a St. Louis jury Monday ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $55 million to a South Dakota survivor of the disease. In February, another St. Louis jury awarded $72 million to relatives of an Alabama...

You don’t come by a lot of Arab Muslims who support US presidential candidate Donald Trump these days. With a cloud of controversy following his campaign trail, Trump has gathered a mass of hate and dislike from Arabs and Americans alike. One person that stands out is Lebanese-American Nedal Tamer, who immigrated to the United States from Lebanon in 1997, and is a full-on Trump supporter. “If you love this country [USA], then you support this man. I will say this to any Arabic Muslim; if you love this country then you support this man,” Tamer told Al Arabiya English....

As Donald Trump reminded the world Tuesday morning, the Republican Party is on the verge of nominating a conspiracy theorist who regularly uses debunked Internet and tabloid rumors to smear his enemies. In the latest case, Trump seized on a ludicrously thin-sourced National Enquirer story to insinuate Sen. Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, was involved in the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. “His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald’s being, you know, shot,” Trump told Fox News over the phone. “I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous. What is this, right prior to his being...

A group of undergraduate professors at George Mason University are leading the charge to oppose renaming the law school after late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. A public Virginia university, GMU received a $30,000,000 pledge to rename the law school. However, the George Mason faculty senate -- which is not a law school body -- passed a resolution opposing the name change. The reasons the GMU faculty senate opposed the well-funded name change included the following: The memorializing of a Supreme Court Justice who was a significant contributor to the polarized climate in this country that runs counter to...

On the front of Sunday’s Metro section of The Washington Post came this headline: “Gruesome images test jury during trial in Md.” Post reporter Dan Morse reported on a trial in suburban Montgomery County surrounding the murder of 36-year-old Oscar Navarro: “prosecutors were allowed to show jurors eight of the most disturbing photos -- a key to their obtaining a first-degree murder conviction Friday against Mauricio Morales-Caceres, 24.” It was only in paragraphs 29 and 30 that the Post acknowledged what they clearly felt was the least relevant news detail in this court case: The convicted murder is an illegal...

Ted Cruz -- attempting to hold on to the narrowing possibility that he can wrest the GOP nomination away from front-runner Donald Trump -- faces a crucial Indiana primary on Tuesday. Meanwhile, and perhaps ominously for Cruz, he has run into headwinds among Republicans at the national level. His image has essentially nosedived over the past week or two, while Trump's image has become more positive. Republicans' views of Cruz are now the worst in Gallup's history of tracking the Texas senator. His image among Republicans and Republican-leaning independents is at 39% favorable and 45% unfavorable, based on April 24-30...
