Independent candidate Roque “Rocky" De La Fuente has requested a recount of the results of the presidential election in Nevada, his campaign confirmed today's De La Fuente said in a statement Tuesday that he is asking for recounts in Florida and Nevada “to create a nationwide awareness of the vulnerability of our election system” and to ensure that “your vote counts for the candidate for whom it is cast.” Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has made similar recount requests in recent days, moving to challenge election results in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — County clerks say they are scrambling to prepare for a looming statewide election recount—the first in the state in more than half a century—that could begin within the next 72 hours and cost taxpayers more than $12 million, Republicans argue. Green Party candidate Jill Stein—who has already been granted a recount in Wisconsin—promised on Monday her campaign would be filing a request to challenge the vote count in Michigan. The request must be submitted by Wednesday afternoon, which her campaign indicated would happen. Kent County Clerk Mary Hollinrake says her team isn't waiting for the recount...

MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) – A Dane County judge has knocked down Jill Stein’s request to conduct Wisconsin’s recount exclusively by hand to rule out any electronic tampering with the results. Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn said Stein’s experts couldn’t present “clear and convincing evidence” that Wisconsin voting equipment was compromised, only that it was possible. “A hand recount is the gold standard, it’s the best we can do. I don’t think there’s any dispute to that,” the judge said, and she noted there’s no difference in cost to taxpayers since the campaign pays for it. “However, it’s not the court’s decision to...

Before Donald Trump’s stunning victory on Nov. 8, liberals called for acceptance of election results. But since the election didn’t go as they’d planned, some have taken to harassing and intimidating electors in an attempt to change the election results. Some of these threats may violate federal law, yet the Justice Department acts strangely uninterested in investigating. Following the election, a coalition of liberal activist groups launched #NotMyPresident Alliance, an organization dedicated to fighting the inauguration of President-elect Trump. As part of that effort, #NotMyPresident distributed personal contact information — including telephone numbers and addresses — of electors in states...

Maybe it's time we wake up a bit. 1) Trump won by narrow margins in 3 states. 2) Podesta came out and said it's not over 3) Hillary and Obama soon after came out and said it is over 4) We were all happy and figured the rest of the effort to get Trump into office was just a formality 5) We stop worrying about watching the ballots and the machines 6) The Dems go dark, nothing from Hillary, Podesta, Obama questioning the election 7) Stein files for recount, we all (me included) say it's just a joke, a fund-raising...

In a revealing interview on The Alan Colmes Show Monday afternoon, failed Green Party candidate Jill Stein conceded (perhaps inadvertently) that the reason she’s calling for a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania is, in part, because Hillary Clinton was expected to win those states. Listen to the whole interview here, but I have pulled out the key statement: (emphasis mine) The three states that we chose including Michigan that only just now declared its winner. This was not a partisan choice, this was zooming in on the states that have the markings of being most vulnerable to hacking because...

The way things are going, Donald Trump is going to have to get a restraining order against Elizabeth Warren. The senior senator from Massachusetts, with her extreme and escalating rhetoric against Trump, is acting as though she's unhinged. It is either a restraining order or a call in to Attorney General Maura Healey's new hate crime hotline that was set up following Trump's election to report acts of intimidation or harassmen

MADISON, WIS. Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein says she's committed to pay for a vote recount in Wisconsin even though she calls the estimated $3.5 million cost "exorbitant." Stein says the estimate Monday from Wisconsin election officials means she'll be asking her supporters to raise another $2.4 million. In a statement Tuesday, Stein says it's an "undue burden" but won't stop efforts for recounts in that state and in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

It’s major duct tape time ’cause you’ll need it to keep your head from exploding. (snip) The Republican Party made an agreement 30 years ago with the Democrat Party NOT to ensure voting integrity and NOT to pursue suspected vote fraud. (snip) To settle the lawsuit, in 1982 — while Ronald Reagan was President (1981-1989) — the RNC and RSC entered into an agreement or Consent Decree, which is national in scope, limiting the RNC’s ability to engage or assist in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance. (snip) In 2010, the RNC unsuccessfully appealed...

Green Party's Jill Stein needed thousands of volunteers to help with a voter-initiated recount of Pennsylvania's election results. But, officials are not seeing it. In a video Sunday, Stein asked volunteers to print, complete and get notarized affidavits in an attempt to force an election recount in Pennsylvania. Election officials from around the state said they had received some calls about affidavits but not the thousands Stein needs. While Stein said volunteers were needed to submit their documentation by Monday, Wanda Murren, spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Department of State, has said the deadline for a voter-initiated recount was Nov. 21....

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Donald Trump won Pennsylvania by just 71,000 votes out of 5.8 million votes cast. But his one percent victory over Hillary Clinton was enough to avoid the state’s automatic recount triggered when a vote margin is less than one-half percent. "I’m looking to get an accurate count on the vote,” Weslee Hursh of Centerville Borough told KDKA political editor Jon Delano on Monday. Hursh filed a petition at the Washington County Elections Bureau to recount the ballots in her precinct even though she’s not alleging any fraud by the Trump campaign. “That’s not the purpose of this,”...

Updated 5:30 p.m. — As of close of business on Monday, the Philadelphia Board of Elections had received petitions from 74 (out of more than 1,600) divisions. Updated 3:45 p.m. — Jill Stein officially filed a lawsuit in a bid to force all of Pennsylvania’s votes to be recounted. Jill Stein’s effort to recount presidential votes in three swing states already appears to be sputtering in Philadelphia. While Stein, a former presidential candidate, has raised millions of dollars and filed for a recount in Wisconsin, the process in Pennsylvania is much more complicated. Candidates cannot file for a recount themselves....

The lawyer representing Hillary Clinton’s recount efforts recently led legal battles against state voting laws with an infusion of funding from billionaire George Soros. On Saturday, Marc Elias, the Clinton team’s general counsel, announced Clinton’s campaign would participate in Green Party candidate Jill Stein’s recount effort in Wisconsin. Elias also said the Clinton campaign would participate if Stein decides to pursue recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Elias is a senior lawyer at the Perkins Coie law firm, which also represents Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee. In July, the New York Times reported Soros had pledged up to $5 million...
