Why the GOP won’t challenge vote fraud (2012 article but timely for all asking these days)

It’s major duct tape time ’cause you’ll need it to keep your head from exploding. (snip)

The Republican Party made an agreement 30 years ago with the Democrat Party NOT to ensure voting integrity and NOT to pursue suspected vote fraud. (snip)

To settle the lawsuit, in 1982 — while Ronald Reagan was President (1981-1989) — the RNC and RSC entered into an agreement or Consent Decree, which is national in scope, limiting the RNC’s ability to engage or assist in voter fraud prevention unless the RNC obtains the court’s approval in advance. (snip)

In 2010, the RNC unsuccessfully appealed “to vacate or modify” the Consent Decree

It looks like only the RNC is prevented from taking certain measures to prevent vote fraud.

However, other entities are not hamstrung in the same way. It seems that the True the Vote organization is free to pursue vote fraud. Also, if Trump pushes for nationwide voter integrity laws, that decree cannot stop him.

The way I envision this is that such laws would be limited to matters affecting federal elections not state. So if CA continues to register illegal aliens (with its “wink wink nudge nudge” method of verifying citizenship), it can continue to do so, but not for federal elections. Such laws would include prescriptions to validate voter rolls and require voters to present ID. There would also have to be some safeguard against the practice of Democrat operatives who examine the voter rolls for non-voters and then submit ballots on their behalf.

I am so glad that Trump is bringing this issue front and center. It has been a major problem; it is long past time we stop conducting elections on the honor system.

County, State and Federal prosecutors should be prosecuting vote fraud. In some cases the vote fraud is isolated incidents by free lancers. In other cases, it is organized and RICO applies.

A political party does not have a property right to somebody’s vote. A political party should be no more relevant in vote fraud prosecution than anyone else. We are equal before the law in the application of the law.

I remember in 1996 when Loretta Sanchez defeated Bob Dornan in California by less than 1,000 votes. After examining only part of the voter list, it was discovered that over 700 illegal aliens had voted. Before the examination was completed the republicans backed out, and declared Sanchez the winner. They did this so as to not to offend Hispanic voters.

Solution is simple: Destroy the RNC. Create a new organization that was not party to this surrender. Done.
