Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat called on Interpol to arrest fleeing members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, who are wanted for engaging in criminal activities, according to state run Al-Ahram. Barakat has demanded the renewal of Interpol’s red notices against Brotherhood members residing in Qatar and Turkey, to be presented for trial in Egyptian courts. General Sayid Shafiq, assistant to the Minister of Interior, was cited by Al-Ahram as saying that Egyptian security forces and Interpol acquired intelligence confirming that Qatari officials have allowed “Muslim Brotherhood leaders to flee to London”. The ‘remarkable’ document contains some of the earliest documented references to The Last Supper and sheds new light on early Christian practices, experts say.

A group of researchers have claimed to have unearthed one of the oldest Christian amulets in the form of a 1,500-year-old Greek papyrus fragment with writing that connotes to the biblical Last Supper and ‘manna from heaven’. In a statement, Mazza said, “This is an important and unexpected finding as it is one of the first recorded documents to use magic in the Christian context, while the first charm ever found to refer to the Eucharist – the Last Supper – as the manna of the Old Testament”.

Egypt on Saturday charged ousted president Mohammed Morsi and several other people with endangering national security by leaking state secrets and sensitive documents to Qatar, Reuters reported. Security sources had said last month that Egypt was investigating the ousted Muslim Brotherhood president in connection with documents they said were leaked to Qatar and its satellite news channel Al Jazeera. The Cairo public prosecutor's office said on Saturday its secret investigation had unearthed enough evidence of espionage to charge Morsi in a criminal court.
