MSNBC host Ed Schultz used a dog as a prop during his regular "Psycho Talk" segment to hit Republicans for making cracks about President Obama shopping for his pet dog.

Sad to see Ed Schultz suffer such sudden memory loss on live national TV. On his MSNBC show this evening, discussing Herman Cain's handling of the various allegations against him, Schultz: found it odd that Cain's wife had come to his defense; said he'd never "seen anything like this in American politics;" and claimed that by criticizing his accusers, Cain had hit "a new low in American politics." Do any of the following sound an echo with Ed?: *Hillary going on 60 Minutes to stand by Bill as he lied through his teeth about Gennifer Flowers? *The Clinton campaign organizing...

Looks like GQ magazine and CNN's Anderson Cooper have gotten under Ed Schultz's skin. Then again, so many things do. The magazine last week ranked Schultz in a satirical listing of "The 25 Least Influential People Alive," a tally that also included President Obama. (audio clip after page break) Schultz complained about this right out of the gate on his radio show Monday, questioning whether Cooper had persuaded GQ to include him on the list and boasting that his ratings are better than Cooper's and those of Nancy Grace on HLN (audio) -- Here's the big social media news surrounding...

With penetrating political analysis like this, no wonder Ed Schultz has been named one of the world's least influential people . . . On his MSNBC show this evening, discussing the recall effort in Wisconsin, Schultz said that Republican Governor Scott Walker "sucks." View the video here.

President Barack Obama and MSNBC's Ed Schultz have been named to GQ magazine's annual list of "The 25 Least Influential People Alive." Although not available online yet, TVNewser published a preview Friday:

How vile is Mike Papantonio? For the second time in three days the trial lawyer-cum-radio host has actually made Ed Schultz look relatively reasonable. Interviewed by Schultz on his MSNBC show this evening, Papantonio claimed that the Koch brothers had "purchased" Herman Cain in order to be able to "kill more people" with their toxins. Q. Faced with President Obama's difficult re-election prospects, is there any depth to which the desperate liberal media won't sink? A. Apparently not. Take this evening's Ed Show. Schultz accused Rep. Paul Ryan of "inciting civil war" and suggested Republicans might "want violence to take place in our society." Not to be outdone, thankfully former Florida congressman Alan Grayson called Ryan and Republicans "the real killers," akin to O.J. Simpson. View the video here.

Ed Schultz, host of MSNBC's the Ed Show, believes that Republican presidential contender Herman Cain is pandering to "white Republicans out there who don't like black folks" and accused Sen. Jim Demint, R-S.C., of using racist langauge in his opposition to Obamacare. On his show last night, Schultz said that Demint, whom Cain has mentioned as a potential running mate, repeated an "old southern racist term when talking about defeating President Obama during the health care debate." Schultz's example? He quoted Demint saying that "If we are able to stop Obama on this [health care law], it will be his...

Serious question: if he ever had it, has Ed Schultz totally lost it? There's lots to be said about the Occupy Wall Street movement. But of all the cockamamie comments, of all the nutty non sequiturs, surely Ed Schultz's takes the crazy cake. On his MSNBC show tonight, Schultz claimed that what lies behind Republican criticism of Occupy is . . . racism. In a beyond-bizarre analogy, Schultz somehow said that there's "no difference" between GOP congressman Peter King's criticism of Occupy Wall Street and . . . Trent Lott's 2002 birthday-party praise for Strom Thurmond. W-h-a-a-a-t? View video here.

Earlier this week, I wrote about Sen. Marco Rubio’s major national speech at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., noting that the ideas he espoused are the very ideas that will serve as the foundation for any electoral success the GOP enjoys in 2012. Several readers tweeted at and e-mailed me to express their support for Rubio. “What’s not to like?†one asked. Townhall’s Erika Johnsen put it this way: “I can’t believe how much truth he delivers in speeches, teleprompter-free and even off the cuff.â€But to MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, Rubio’s common sense call for personal responsibility and...

“It’s just insane,” Fox News analyst and Daily Beast columnist Kirsten Powers tells a Fox audience after watching the clip of Ed Schultz accusing Rick Perry of being a racist for using the phrase “big black cloud,” by which Schultz claimed Perry meant Barack Obama. Schultz later apologized for the selective editing of the clip, but Powers isn’t satisfied with Schultz’ selective retreat that pointedly didn’t walk back the allegation of racism. Powers offers a dog-whistle argument right back at the MSNBC host, saying that Schultz’ assumption that “big black cloud” referred to Obama shows that it’s Schultz who’s the...

Stewart is a big lib but he's also a darned funny big lib I was hoping he'd beat fat Eddie like a red-headed stepchild over his editing of Rick Perry's comments, but it's mostly silly stuff about "color" commentary.

FULL TITLE: Schultz Admits Editing Perry Without Apologizing for Falsely Accusing Him of Making Racist Remark About Obama As NewsBustersreported hours ago, MSNBC's Ed Schultz on Monday deceptively edited comments made by Rick Perry to falsely accuse the Texas governor of making a racist remark about President Obama. "The Ed Show" host admitted his mistake on Tuesday's program, but failed to apologize to Perry or even acknowledge his despicable accusation let alone retract it (video follows courtesy Breitbart TV with partial transcript and commentary, file photo):

Disgusting. MSNBC host Ed Schultz used a deceptive edit to distort the content of Gov. Rick Perry’s speech in Iowa yesterday. Schultz claimed that Gov. Perry was calling President Obama a “black cloud hanging over America.” However, the truth was that Perry was talking about the national debt… not Obama. Breitbart TV reported:

For months, NewsBusters has been warning readers that America's media are going to do everything in their power to label all contenders to Barack Obama racist. On Monday's "The Ed Show," the host edited Rick Perry - in mid-sentence, mind you! - to falsely accuse the Texas governor of making a racist remark about America's first black president (video follows with partial transcript and commentary): ED SCHULTZ, HOST: Perry just inferred President Obama is not in love with the United States of America? Yes, he really said "inferred" rather than "implied." He actually did it twice Monday evening. This is...

I disagree with the one-sided approach Ed Schultz and MSNBC have taken in covering today's recall vote of state legislators in Wisconsin, but I praise the cable channel and its host for going out to the Midwest and covering this bellwether political and economic vote today.

Via The Corner and our Headlines, a bit of a “wow” moment from the Left on Anthony Weiner’s insistence on staying in office from the most sympathetic network possible. Schultz’ logic isn’t exactly impeccable here; if he wants Weiner to run in 2012, then what’s the point of resigning now? New York will have to run a special election to fill his seat, which would almost certainly produce a Democratic winner — especially with the GOP’s track record in Congressional special elections in the Empire State. Still, Schultz hits the nail on the head when he accuses Weiner of taking...

San Francisco wants to vote on banning circumcisions of baby boys/anything birthed by Rosie O'Donnell, and now interest in it is spreading across the country...apparently... (Matthew "I really really REALLY need a life") Hess has created similar legislation for states across the country, but those measures never had much traction. Now he is fielding calls from people who want to organize similar movements in their cities. “This is a conversation we are long overdue to have in this country,†he said. “The end goal for us is making cutting boys’ foreskin a federal crime.†See the full story here...

How about that, he's a lawyer to boot. Angered by Ed Schultz's quick apology and suspension from MSNBC for maligning Laura Ingraham as a "right-wing slut" and 'talk slut," Los Angelese-based radio host Bill Handel has come up with a decidedly peculiar response to the controversy. Is there "any proof that she's not" a slut, Handel asked on his KFI AM radio show.
